    I prefer low speed straight handpiece in most of mandibular third molar extraction case. For maxillary no need use a bur usually. Just insert elevator at mesio buccal side of third molar and use wedge plus wheel and axel principle.

    Thank you so much for your videos! I'm a maxillofacial surgeon and I would like to ask, do you use a high speed denral piece in all cases? I would worry about subcutaneous emphysema, and also, what kind of sutures do you usually use?

    Cause using block on both lower side leads tongue fall back..

      @DentalBean  3 года назад

      First of all, Thanks for watching, Many doctors complete the procedure based on their opinions.
      A lot of research is currently underway on that part, and We think we can't define what is right and what is wrong.

      There's surgical high speed handpiece, not the routine high speed handpiece for fillings which the air exhaust rearward to reduce risk of emphysema

    • @choyongseok5631
      @choyongseok5631 4 месяца назад

      long shank high speed bur is safe and good without risk of emphysema.

      i elevate envelop flap same as usual but at that situation sometimes i extend flap margin a little bit anteriorly to exposure total crown. Make a definitive incision using a # 12 blade and use a fine periosteal elevator such as p24g periosteal elevator. don’t use a #9 molt periosteal elevator.

    Sir,in which case you would prefer straight elevator? When elevating upper 3rd molars if there is not adequate space interdentally between 2nd & 3rd molar do you prefer to prepare the mesial aspect of 3rd molar or any other tips which you would suggest.
