To be honest, if I'm drafting a QB this year, I like Bo Nix. Nobody talks about this enough, but the guy is built well, strong, he's mobile, and he doesn't throw interceptions. Had over 40 TDS in 23, and his stats are better than most of these guys in more than one category. Penix has the prettiest passing, Caleb looks like Mahomes, I get it..., but Bo Nix is the gritty, old school arm I would want.

Comparing stats between college QBs is not amazingly relevant. At least a lot less so than the NFL.

Bo Nix won’t turn 25 till next year. He was a RS-Senior this past season like many others that have gone on to have great careers. The age thing with Bo shouldn’t even be brought up

What i love about Bo is that his knowledge of offenses and defenses is like having a coach on the field. He mastered 4 different offenses in 5 years. He can run any offense thrown at him. Hes a coaches son. And hell of a leader, who is obsessed with getting better. The sports psychology people at Oregon really done a great job getting some of the bugs brought on by high preassure get out of his head, and created a very heady confident player.
He’s going to the Broncos for sure, you can see this coming a mile away.

How this dude is being looked at as anything besides a high first round pick is crazy. He seems taylor made for a offense/team like Pittsburgh or Cleveland. If JJ McCarthy is taken before Nix it will be something that that JJ drafting team will regret for a decade.
Glad you asked. Short answer: Nix is a fraud. Long answer: He's relied on a gimmicky offense in a conference that can scarcely play defense (PAC-12) to flatter his stats. He couldn't cut it in the SEC. He does nothing more than throw short-ish screen play balls to players who are obviously open and relies on them to pick up big yards after the catch. Nix can't throw into coverage to save his life and even Nix knows it. Don't listen to Simms, Nix has unremarkable arm strength and that was on display during the combine if you knew what to look for.
Are you joking? Top o-line, worst defenses, 2 top nfl WR, 66% of yards from yac, depth of target under 7 yards. That won't work in the pros. He is a one read stare down reciever QB, never hit tunnel vision

@@locdawg3815 nobody’s perfect. But having said that…the kid’s young and he really shouldn’t have been thrown into the fire so quickly, on a subpar team, with substandard receivers. Give him time and let’s see if he performs better in a new environment.

Nix is the BEST overall qb in this class. He’s gonna make one GM look like a genius and the other 31 looks like fools!
This has been my nightmare, that Bo Nix would pick apart NFL defenses, then out smart pass rushes with key scrambles. He is one of three prospects that is ready to start Day One.
Bo put the Ducks in position to win. The safeties whiffed in the PAC12 Championship. The refs made a few bad calls as well. To put that L on Bo is crazy.
I agree with Chris on Nix. He’s very sharp, doesn’t make mistakes, can run, makes the long and intermediate throws, and doesn’t hang onto the ball. As a Seattle fan I wouldn’t mind at all if Nix became a Seahawk. But my choice is still Penix for Seattle because he is a winner in big games and he is exciting to watch. So my own pick would be Penix, Nix , and after that I’d take an O lineman.

The P12 title game was way more about Washington winning on defense than anything Bo Nix was doing. Kurt Benkert did a watch along of that game and you can see on the all22 there is just almost nobody open a lot of the time

Age does not make a difference . Really, how many of today's NFL QB's play 10-15 years with a team these days? Bo is 24 and, if successful, will give a team 10-14 years of outstanding play, and there isn't a team out there that wouldn't be thrilled to take that. Bo, in my book, is a Top 3 QB in this draft.
I hope the NJ JETS DRAFT HIM first longest the cover the áreas of need through free agency. He will perfect under Rodgers wing for the next 2 years and the put him on the field.
I'm a Jets fan and also a U of Oregon alum, but Bo is not the fit here. Bo is ready to start now, doesn't make any sense for Bo to make his first start when he's 26+ years old

I'm telling y'all Bo nix is by far the best QB coming to the league. He's undoubtedly better than Caleb Williams. IDC what anyone says I'll die on this hill. I want the Steelers to draft him soooooo bad after not picking up fields option and I don't see Russ being with us after this season without a playoff win. Anyways I've never seen anything like Bo Nix. When you watch him play you see the it factor.

Nix has good foot speed? Seriously? Then why didn't he run the 40 or the Shuttle at the Combine. It could only have helped his stock. Heck, Tommy Devito can run a 4.66s and things don't get interesting for a QB unless he's sub 4.6s in the 40 & low 4.20s on the shuttle. I'm dead certain Bo Nix hasn't got that sort of speed. He might be able to pull off the occasional milk run, but he's nothing like a dual-threat QB.
You did not watch him play at all bruh he is fast. His game speed looks 4.5. His dual threat ability is what helped Oregon and he is elusive. Watch his tape and not just a combine

The NFL put the raiders out reach with any great qb its done on purpose that's why they knock the raiders out of the playoffs losing to the sorry ass colts and let them win their way out of a top qb see the 2 negatives got to pay attention to that.. last year because their weren't many qbs except the 2 top bryce young and strout then the raiders were at pick 7 next years draft has no qbs i looked for any outside of sanders and not one is a 1st rd or even close so the raiders will most likely be drafting high again when theirs no qb but wont be able to move up for sanders because more teams will need qbs raiders will be stuck in purgatory for another decade.

Bo had a lot better combine throw sample then penix Jr and they think he's a first rounder. He can throw on the run too and proved he's accurate

I have trusted the Simms’ QB evaluations ever since he hit on Herbert. If Nix goes to Denver he might be a good fit in Payton’s offense.

I don’t know, I saw some pretty great deep balls. And some bad drops on deep balls that were on the receivers.
I know it's hard to find any fault in a great QB. He had a few great throws downfield, that said this is also his weakness. A good QB coach in the NFL will work with Bo and get that part dialed in. You're right about the drops, other than Troy Franklin we didn't have any 1st rounders though we did have some good receivers. Imagine how it would have been with 3 or 4 1st round receivers like Washington had!!!@@cjcurtis8944

This draft is stacked with overrated/overhyped QB prospects (Maye and McCarthy are others) and Nix is as bad as any of them. I'm honestly not sure if Nix is better than Rattler and I feel dead sure that Spencer Rattler is nothing like NFL starter material.

It's nice that they talk about the 77% completions but ignore the 52% completions on throws 20+ yards. I watched Bo Nix play all three years at Auburn, he looked horrible, his game didn't look a lot different at Oregon. I guess he is Chris's Zach Wilson, this year.

Bo had an adjustment completion percentage of 57% on throws past 20 yards. Only behind McCarthy and Daniels. And the 52% you mentioned was 6th in the NCAA anyway
Agree 1000%. PAC-12 defenses are as formidable as Ivy League defenses. Nix can't throw into coverages to save his life and even he knows it! All Nix can do is throw the ball quickly to a receiver who is *egregiously open* (PAC-12 defenses, remember?) on a screen and they rely on the receiver to pick up yards after the catch.
