Bronco fan here - hoping we take him. I get the feeling he'll either be a fantastic QB or a fantastic coach down the road. Hopefully he'll be both. Best of luck Bo!
Before the end of the NFL season I didn’t really know anything about Bo Nix. Being a Denver Broncos fan I started watching all the games of the top QBs. This guy is so impressive and had such command of the Oregon offense. He’s a great person and a great leader as well. I don’t understand the hate this guy gets or even 90% of the criticism. If you actually watch the tape this guy answers all the questions. I really hope he’s a Bronco in a few weeks. Great interview.
Hey brother, I'm right there with you. I think he's sneaky good and could end up being better than 2 or 3 of the guys taken before him. None of those other top guys understand NFL concepts like him. He had the ability to change plays and his accuracy is on point too. So many times you'll see the kid just perfectly take what's given to him and hit the receiver in stride, something Russ struggled with horribly. He has great intangibles and decision making. Who cares if they threw a lot of short stuff.... that's the modern NFL right there. He threw plenty of midrange and deep balls too. That kid throws a very pretty deep ball. As far as scrambling ability? He's slippery and deceptively quick..... has a little Steve Young to his game, as far as being able to slip out of tackles and make exciting plays on the run. Oh, and the kid is a runner too? He's excellent at short yardage/goal line, following his blockers or finding a little sneaky crease. I absolutely love him and I betcha Sean Payton is licking his chops. His mechanics are sloppy sometimes, and his footwork needs cleaned up, but you clean some of that very fixable stuff up, and it'll improve his arm strength, which is nowhere near as bad as the media says. The Oregon offense was really sneaky and would utilize a lot of screens, but also take easy completions, but boy, Nix was no stranger to the deep ball, and he's really good at ball placement too, giving it to his guy where only he can get it, back shoulder. He's great with his eyes, looking off defenders, manipulating the D. He can go through all his progressions. IDK what's not to love, plus he just looks like a young franchise QB, great personality, great demeanor and leadership. I'll be thrilled if we draft him bro.
@@78LedHead totally. You see it the exact way I do. But yet you see so many other people who just love to hate and dismiss him. I don’t get it. He has some stuff to clean up but probably less than any of the other QBs in this class.
Great interview, Chris! As a (female) former championship athlete and coach I really love this young man. His experience with his coach Dad - AND Mom (Sounds like she had to create the balance in favor of what was best for Bo, not his Dad's ego when it got a little out of hand) - really have given him great sports wisdom, self-awareness and great character. Those traits will take him a much further in the NFL than pure athleticism. He's got a new fan. Go Bo!
Whoever ends up with Bo will be happy. He’s going to surprise, in a good way. He’s very intelligent and a quick decision maker. Of the 3 picks he threw this season 2 of them weren’t his fault. One was a receiver bobble, and the other was a defender that went out of bounds and wasn’t visible to Bo (it shouldn’t have been allowed). The other one was a bad decision/throw.
Really, really great interview, Chris. Nice to see Bo address the details of his game, and what a gamer he is! The talking heads who say Bo doesn't have the arm to throw deep balls clearly did not watch him play every game. Bo has repeatedly proven that he can make any throw. I sure hope Denver grabs him at #12. Thanks for you time at Oregon, Bo!
As a Denver Broncos lifer, I couldn't agree more. I'd take him over Penix, McCarthy, and maybe even Daniels who I worry won't be able to hold up as well in the NFL with his play style, running a lot. Bo knows how to utilize his O-Line too, which is something Russ struggled with, spinning into sacks.
@@78LedHeadI think Rattler may be better than Bo… that dude played behind a bad OL. Bo is underrated moreso after the Penix pro day. In the end, if the QB ends up on a good team, then any flaws or lack of development won’t totally hurt the team
I hope he plays just like the last qb that was a 1st round pick from that school he is a back up somewhere now. U should've went to John elway and asked him to pick I another winner for u Denver! I heard there was a 6 foot 9 guy in Romania who runs like the wind and can throw a football on his knees from end zone to end zone!
@@joelhenderson1252 It'd be good for any NFL style offense. Nix is easily the best QB in this draft at running pro concepts. He does a lot of things right. Great decision making. Great accuracy, even when his footwork is sloppy. Deceptively good scrambler and has a nose for paydirt. IDK what's not to love.
Great interview Chris! Fascinating to see a side of Bo Nix that I haven’t seen in other interviews. It felt like there was a friendly rapport between the two of you that was very natural, and the latter part of the interview felt like a better version of John Gruden’s QB school. (Which makes a lot of sense.) It’s easy to imagine Bo Nix being a great fit with Sean Payton… which certainly isn’t true for every QB. It would be fun to see Bo end up in Denver!
Honestly, I think Nix might end up being one of the best QB's of this draft. No other QB in this draft ran more of a pro style offense. No other QB uses his eyes to move defenders like him. His scrambling ability is great too. He's really sneaky, and can slip through and really burn you. He even has a little Steve Young to his game. Arm isn't spectacular, but who cares when all the intangibles are there and he's by far the most experienced in pro style concepts. Arm is way better than the media gives him credit for. Go watch his past 2 seasons with Oregon and you'll see him doing things a lot of pro QB's struggle with. Heck, Russ Wilson couldn't do half the things Bo does.
Great interview Chris, Bo seems to be a bright mind. I would be happy, if he lands at 11 with the Vikings. Keep up the good work, always a pleasure to watch you guys, even though I am here in Germany!
Bo is a very matter of fact kind of guy who doesn't come across great in the media, I think that's why he's being undervalued and will do well in denver
I would take Bo over Caleb. No freaking problem. Bo is a sharpshooter, and can throw on the run. Bo is also the smartest QB in this draft. What a freaking IN DEPTH interview. I think we just got to see Chris Simms change into COACH SIMMS. Definitely the most insightful interview I have ever seen from any sportscaster. Like... Holy shit!! Coach Simms is reliving his journey with Bo. Dear Fox/CBS/ABC, this is why your weak sensationalism LOSES.
Screw the critics, Bo Nix is going to be a great NFL QB. I don't watch college ball, but everything I've seen from him and his tape show a good mind, toughness, and great QB instincts. I'm a Lions fan but I'd bet Bo Nix would kill it with the Vikings or Raiders in round 1. Hoping for his sake he doesn't land with the Bronco's. If I were the Patriots I'd try to trade down, stack extra picks and take Bo in round 1 and use the extra picks to build around him. That would be my plan if I were the Pats.
Saw some of his games and thought he’d be in the nfl - like so many talented players the healthy or sick culture of a pro team has a big impact on their success individually
The kid has a great head on his shoulders and the numbr rated in the pocket and under pressure and gets the ball out rq with a very compact release. Perfect for Paytons offense...
Bo nix has been drafted by theDenver Broncos…I always look at the bio of players that are drafted into the NFL… Bo and I share a birthday… I’ll be rooting for him.😎

Message to Bo, the Bears will be trading down and selecting you! You have the mental skills, endured adversity and have the humility and aptitude to succeed in Chicago.
I finally watched a bit of Bo Nix just now. I’ve never seen him play but I guess he had a 15 on his TD-2-INT ratio and completed 77-percent of his passes, both seemingly impossible stats. But thinking about Jayden, Bo and Drake at their Pro Days (PDs) it’s pretty obvious that Jayden is the most impressive pure passer. That release and arm strength that Jayden has is pretty remarkable. I would definitely say though that I like Bo a lot more than Drake and in reality, watching just a bit of each, Bo and JJ are almost equal, at least just tossing it around. Of course JJ won a National Championship which means something. But with all due respect to Bo - I did say “with all due respect” which makes it alright - from what I’ve seen I think that Jayden has the best chance at stardom. You just don’t see arm talent like that everyday. Take Marino and Stroud maybe and you get Jayden.
Don't forget Jayden Daniel's had 2 of the best wideouts in the country . I don't put nothing on any rookie qbs. Even trevor lawerence who was supposed to be generational isn't it. I think bo nix experience in big conferences will end up putting him above the rest. But jayden Daniel's has checks all the boxes but that's what makes ya nervous
Damn Chris! Your player interviews keep getting better and better! Very relatable, comfortable and genuine. Keep the 1-on-1's coming!
