After wearing braids exclusively for 5 years STRAIGHT i mean back to back never out of them . I've been braids free for about 10months now . Just have my hair in 4 plaits caz i don't leave the house much . I don't think I'll ever do braids like tht again but I did achieve ALOT OF LENGTH with no visible damage at all . I've had my fill of braids think I'll get into wigs now lol

Ahhh, for 5 years? Were you after length? Or you just wanted to give the hair a break?

I've cut my hair twice now and both times it was while taking out crochet faux locs 🤣🤣 Very traumatising experiences 😆😆

I have discovered that my hair definitely doesn’t like small braids but now I’m going to try medium box braids and see how it turns out… i usually like to get my hair braided once a year… the take down is so important…

Siiiisss!!!! My goodness. I had an experience with taking down weave. I lost so much hair it was heartbreaking. I sought help and I lost so much hair. Not sure if the person was using a pair of scissors to undo the cornrows but I was so distraught after seeing the state on my hair. 😩. Never me again! I prefer to use my own hair when protective styling. And I only allow 2 specific persons to handle my hair: my hair dresser and my aunt. They understand the assignment every time.

Girl, I was actually thinking about doing a video about this because, I have had my share of thinning edges...

Hi what did you think about the cantu leave in conditioner? Was it moisturizing?

Hey hun. It's actually one of my favourite leave-ins. But do some research before you purchase- some persons are not too keen about it.
