- This episode I look at how to connect the motor and ESC so that they spin in the right direction first time. I also attach everything to the power distribution board and assemble the frame.
The most important information that i have seen every single drone build videos skip. i hope this method still works today to fidn proper orientation of the esc
Excellent! I have yet to break into brushless, so this is all new to me.
You rock!
+Michael Thompson thank you. its not that different than the brushed world :) u will get there all the best
Helps big time Andy! Cheers feller :)
+owenkilleen no problem cheers
ive been waiting for this ep.. lol another good tip Andy lad thankyou!!
+chrissy roberts thanks for watching. more coming soon and i will be adding all sorts of stuff to this one :)
I wana keep the new 450 build so much but then I really am excited about the new build!! the new ESC looks power mate plus the motors and dont get me started on the trannis radio!!!WOW nice!!
yes it's a very good combination this one
the pixhark looks good thinking of getting 2 one for the old 450 too.
have to say after this experience im thinkging of getting another too. much more easier than apm
Andy, I have those same sunnysky motors in the middle i got black wire. you are telling to connect the black wire to the black wire of the esc which is confusing. does it cause any problems? bcoz the the center wire in the motor must be connected to the center of the escs right?
A lot of help thanks, I'm thinking of building a 250-450 size quad as my blade nano qx is not enough anymore, this will be a future project after my nitro RC I expect ;)
+X-FLIGHT101 yes if you are into rc stuff you wont avoid making one :)
all the three wires of DJI 2212 920 KV are looking the same , how should I connect them to ESC please help
Thanks for telling this
Hello I need help, when I tried to plug my 3s 35c battery in the PCB, the xt60 got short, I checked the wiring and I can't find the solution
Can't we program the clock wise n anti clock movement in KK board?
@AndyRC Wont the loctite make the arms brittle? I know the frame has brass inserts but even so you have to be careful surely not to let it get on the plastic?
I guess maby on thick plastic like these arms its a non issue but I know with items such as props its a huge no no and was the cuase for a lot of prop failures on the blade 350QX before they changed the hub design.
I may be wrong in this but I always thought it had to be kept away from plastic.
+CyclingSalmon14 you must always use medium locktite and it doesnt do anything to the plastic or the prop.
+AndyRC Thanks for clarifying that.
no problem thanks for your support
can you tell me what the motor screw size is?
What are the flight times and thanks for all of the very useful videos
Could you somehow make the propellors in mid-flight all spin the same direction and would that make it spin hardcore?
+Perma Psy Im not sure anyone has done that. although theres software now that allows props to spin backwards in flight for 3d flying
Where is the said software?
its different depending on the esc type
Which soldering wire did you use?
So Andy the motors are the same. I just need to change the wire position.
+Quadcopter World correct yes
Nice trick with the ESCs, but i am pretty sure this does not work with every motor/ESC combination, does it? My motors for example have all black wires, but i have a few sets of motors with colored wires too, definitly have to check of tthat system may work for them too :)
for ones with black wires the direction will be still the same so just compare your black wires to the coloured wires to figure out which should be red and which should be black
AndyRC
Thats a great idea, thank you :)
no problem
can I use an Esc 6S With an engine 3S?
i like your new series andy, I'm also looking for a bigger platform for fpv bomb drop's.
but your made this episode so short that I'm wondering how many episodes you're planning to make?
+CreativeRCstuff ! this is the quickest part thats why its so short :) i think in 3-4 eps time we will have a craft that flys and holds a gps position.
I used locktite on one of my quads before and it ate the plastic, now im nervous to use locktite on plastic.
+Quadcoptercrazy no problems here. try a different brand
Put some washers under those screws might be better?
+Perma Psy which screws are that?
Where you screwed the motor to the frame. It just looks like the vibrations will eat into frame.
you dont get vibrations with genuine sunnyskys
ok :)
