Michigan International Speedway is the last true speedway/race. With no restricter plates its definitely in a league of its own.
You did ok. Tis a big track! And you nailed it by through the fence, to the track... tough to catch a colour of a car... well done. Been there 27 times, back in the Winston Days, and will continue to go. Cheers from Canada 🍺👍
Went to my first NASCAR race a few weeks ago at Pocono. I had been to Busch league races at Nazareth when I was a kid but never NASCAR series. Was pretty dope
Going to a race vs. seeing one on TV is so wildly different and nothing sounds better than 40 of the baddest V8s screaming past you to blow your ears out.
Also next time you go you need to get there early maybe make a weekend of it if you can cuz the best part is the tailgating especially at that track. Walk around the parking lot meeting so many people drinking there beers. Great times lol

Been there a few times and I loved it. You should check out the car shows. There is one coming up in Sept in Kalamazoo. Ohio is larger and they have autocross. something that is not seen every day is hot rods and muscle cars that turn on a dime.

I live in Michigan and I work the track turn 1 and 2 what used to be grand stands we clean up after the race and take the cans there for fundraising and we camp in our group it's a really good time but that week there were tornadoe sirens going off for a really bad storm that rolled in
The only nascar track I go to but its always a fun time
I go to the race every year been going for 7 years straight now I go to both races when they come to Michigan it's so fun

I know this is an old video but if anyone sees this who has been to Michigan International speedway I need info! For someone who only has general admission tickets what time do you think we should plan to try and park at without getting there extremely early? I would like to be able to park, walk around outside and check out the sponsors, cars on display, buy merchandise, buy a snack, be able to find my seat in the grand stands with a little bit to sit and relax. Also what time did the opening ceremonies start? Is trying to see the drivers intros etc exciting? What is the order for this stuff. I’ve never been to a nas car race. What time do the jets fly over and when is the pre race prayer and also the national anthem? I
Have a question looking forward to my first time seeing NASCAR at Michigan, is it better to sit near the bottom or up higher, just wondering if you lose some of the noise and speed if higher up
