Some friends and I camped in the infield for that race, we have that for a number years and enjoyed every minute of it. This was one of the best races I have seen there too
I thought my family and I were the only ones to call those tents the gypsy tents. Lol Michigan is a good track to go to for the races.
Yep. That’s the common term they’re referred to as by most NASCAR fans.
Ford has been dominant at Michigan in the prior 6 starts however they weren't the dominant manufacturer that day That honor went to Chevrolet leading 159 Laps, Toyota led 26 Laps leaving Ford with the fewest Laps Led with 15 But those 15 Laps included the last 8 Laps of the race All led by Ryan Blaney resulting in Ford's 7th Consecutive victory at Michigan
Going there this year. Hoping for a Suarez or Kyle Busch win. It will be hard to top the last race I went to which was the slide job race at Chicago.
Trackside Motor park... holy cow... been there done that! M.I.S. Met Mark Martin, Sterling Marlin, Ernie Irvin, Sr, Richard, ended up in the infield incare center(that's a story). Great track!

I love all you guys at NWP but as far as individual channels I'd have to say you and your girl put on the best shows. Keep'er up Danny !!!
I was there last summer. It was a great race but it was really hot.

That was probably the best race I’ve been too. Also it was cool meeting you at the Applebee’s after the race
Hey! Didn’t know that was you. I certainly know why you loved it. Hated that they wouldn’t let us eat at Applebee’s. Seemed ridiculous to tell us an hour before closing that we weren’t welcomed in.
@@DannyBTalks agreed. Although I did find out in the process that Speedway Gas Stations have great subs
@@williamburkhart2979 we were able to look on Google, find a whole other Mexican restaurant that also closed at 9, get sat down, eat chips and salsa, order dinner, and then leave BEFORE 9.

You will get to see Bowman win one of these times, it took a long time for me to see Blaney win in person, but have him do it at my home track, with many of my family members there to also witness, it was surely a day I will never forget

I wish the races I go to had those tent vendors. The races I go to here on the west coast(Auto Club, Phoenix) only have just the haulers so I can never get that many diecasts as the selection is so limited. Then the one time I went to a race that had these vendors it was raining and my dad didn't want to go over to them. Hopefully, I can go to them at the Daytona 500 next year.
I love close to the track I also love flying so I would’ve liked to see how you got there

How did you like the track I go there every year as a father son tradition
Yah it was very COVID restricted for the drivers, I had pit passes and was able to be all over the pits and on the frontstretch but the drivers were not allowed out there
Hey! I know this is an old video but if anyone could comment and answer my question, that would be amazing! My husband and I won general admission grand stand tickets for this race and track this year. And this may sound dumb because I know you have to pay for tickets for other things like meet and greets and going in the pits and stuff so I was wondering. For general admission what time do you suggest we get to the track? And also what are things we can see/do before the race without paying extra. The vendor tents at the very beginning looked cool, after that does the fan zone cost extra? Also what time do you think is a good time to find our seats? I only ask these because my husband has adhd and he gets really bored easily and I don’t want to get there too early and just be sitting around waiting for the race at 3pm but also I don’t want us to feel rushed and overwhelmed by fighting the crowed for parking etc.
The fan zone area is completely free to check out.
Parking was free too, I believe.
As far as time to arrive, I'd say you could arrive 3 hours before the race and be okay, maybe even 4 hours. Try to start heading to find your seats about an hour before the national anthem. That'll give you time to find your seats and maybe grab a snack.
@@DannyBTalks thank you so much, you don’t know how helpful this is! Big events are really hard on my husband and it goes smoothly when we have a plan. Do you remember what time the national anthem was?

Lambertville is really cool. We had breakfast at the little diner in the old schoolhouse there and got a French dip sandwich from AJ Doolittle’s. Good food at both.
What section and row were you in? I’d like to look into prices for that area

@@DannyBTalks thanks Danny. I’d like to go, but for seats that good, I’m a little scared of what to expect for ticket prices. I used to go to Kentucky Speedway before it got dropped from the schedule.
@@ryanlane4337 they were not too much at Michigan actually. We usually don’t like to pay a lot for tickets unless it’s a special event like the LA Clash.
