thanks for responding so quickly. The common complaint I keep reading is the front of kayak short and water goes over the top.
the water can come over the front a little bit if the water is really choppy but it's not bad

I'm definitely going to order one of these and I'm going to order a Pelican pwr 100 and that's my first both rig one I'm using for town fishing and Pelican for me big fish to bring for fresh feed so can't wait for summer time be awesome when nice calm waters in bay and the be fully like fish comp on kayak from town to any spot as long always say close to forsehare so everyone can what's happen especially if sharks roaming around for baits or wants to attack kayak don't want to risk our lives of deep sea it's really dangerous spot so it's best thing to put shark sheilds on kayak then they won't bother come close to sheilds ifs it's works if read most instructions of how to use them in right way of using it and make sure if power stays on at most times instead of having them go flat at less if have some power adaptor plug for charging up for electrical parts to keep them to work in good order without Dody wires hanging out or loose wires it's not safest idea of water gets into it then have do re wiring harness tuck in in good position without water touching it then be full sweet to Cruise anywhere closer to beach
Great mods, thank you for the tips! I've had my FS10 for about a year and still working on modding it to my liking. I really like that Frabill box as well as the L-bars.

Do you have any close up shots of how you fastened the Frabill bait box to the dashboard? I bought one. I considered cutting back the bracing on the rear side of it so it can conform to the curved dash better, and also snip off the belt clips. Thoughts?
Tom Manno i personally just screwed it onto the kayak from the curved back end and it seemed to hold pretty well

I have an older Ascend D10 that I just got a fish finder. Does the transducer mounted on the side make the kayak track any differently? I've been trying to decide to mount it on the side or off the back center.
Lukas Aldrich thanks! i really didn't notice a difference about it but i did shorten the rod and put it on a ball mount off the side of the kayak but it worked good for me the whole time but have a new kayak now

Was just ready to pull the trigger on the f10 but salesman said its design underneath is flat and it was wobbly tough to paddle? Had me look at the h10 now I’m confused lol
Just a suggestion, that blue towel behind your seat, replace it or supplement it with a large car washing sponge. much better at absorbing water, etc.

how you reach things behind your seat I like to see that. in my 10 ft kayak I find it difficult to reach behind me
Anthony Attuso yeah it wasn't very easy reaching behind me but I don't fish out of this kayak anymore so my kayak now is so much easier to move around and reach things on

Good for shallow ocean flats?
Have you ever taken it out in Saltwater? And if you have what's the roughest waters i was looking at this at Bass Pro. And i would use it for Stripers in the Boston harbor and the surrounding area's. Cool video
i have taken it out to in the inlet on a calm day which it was fine but if you have alot of wind i wouldnt suggest it

I am 5' 8" and 245, I am an experienced paddler but with longer kayaks, with your height and weight and all the gear in the stern did you have any problems adjusting the kayaks trim? Does the bow ride high? I already have a NW Ultimate 12, but am considering something a bit smaller and lighter.
I have never had any problem with the front riding low unless it was really choppy. Once I got my atak 140 I wouldn't get anything else but a hobie pro angler

what do you use to seal uo your screw holes? I'm using some industrial type silicone and a metal washer with neoprene on it that I got from home Depot. I'm thinking that should have a good seal but idk
I am just using a water proof sealant nothing to fancy it comes out white but when it is dry it is clear i havent had any problems with water coming in. i put some sealant on the whole before i screw it in and then cover the screw and around it with more sealant just to be for sure that it is closed up

What was your thoughts on the strength of the hull? Did you experience any warping of the hull? Also I have seen more than a few reviews saying that the nose of the kayak is too close to the water line. Evening nosing under in some reviews? I am 6' 230lbs. I am leaning towards the FS10, but don't want to make a bad decision. Any advise would help. Thanks
Jason Noel i only had a tiny spot on the bottom of the boat but was only minor and i have never had any water come over the front unless i was in really choppy water and it did really well for the year that i had it. its an excellent kayak for beginners.

the total weight that the kayak can hold is around 350 pounds

Hi I’m 5’9 230-250 and like I carry about 25-30lb worth of tackle etc I’ve been considering this but I was wondering if you think it would handle that weight safely
To be honest I am not particularly sure. I haven't fished out of this kayak in a while honestly after fishing out of that kayak and now fishing out of more of the top line kayaks I would look at spending the money on a really good kayak so In the long run your saving your money
what size PVC fits in the flush mount rod holders?

I have heard many negative reviews about this kayak after they redesigned it in 2015. Alot of complaints about stability, plows water, and the bottom deforms where the seat is. Have you noticed any of this?
nope I've never had any problems with this kayak

I bought this kayak and ended up taking it back it is very unstable if you're a first-timer like me any little move you taking it feels like it's about to throw you over just a little warning it is a great kayak I did have fun on it but it was very scary for me I'm going to take it back and get me something more flat Just want to say something to you first timers be careful it is very unstable do not believe what they say
I'm going to be out at Stumpy Lake for the majority o the day on Saturday if you are going to be out and about.
unfortunately i have to work Saturday and have my son on the weekends so it's hard to get out but i will see what i can do

+Sub Tropical i mean you can if it is really calm out there. unlike the sit on tops kayaks if you take on water there is no way to drain it out besides a bildge pump. i will be getting a new kayak in the next 2 months or so
