i hope you get more support, because this was the most detailed review i have ever seen on the internet. this video has given me sooooooooooooooooooooo much to decide on buying this monitor. thank you for this AMAZING review!!!
have 2 benq gaming monitors on a stand. used them for 7 years a house move then emigrated to switzerland and only recently one of them has developed a faint line on the screen. only noticible when screen is dark. going get two of these to replace them as for the price amazing
Just ordered it from Amazon for 140€ (+4€ for a 2 years warranty extension). Have to say, there are some alternatives with IPS and VA panel, sporting also higher refresh rate and 1/2ms VRB, but many have an external power module, that I don't want. Also, at this price point the VA panels have ghosting and black smearing and IPS show all back lightning, IPS glow and little ghosting. This Benq has too many good features to pass it and the 98% srgb color is enough for a good color representation in a 24" 1080p TN display. Thanks for the review, is very detailed and it helped me.
So glad you found this review helpful. That is our goal and sometimes we fall short! Leave another comment after you get the monitor and let us know how you like it!
I got the monitor about two days now and so far the most annoying feature is the bright power button, that is very distracting if one uses the monitor to watch a movie in a dark room. For now I covered it with a piece of black insulating tape. The automatic brightness adjustment seems to change the whites to something else, same goes for the low blue light modes. I need to spend some time and make a calibration that can reduce the brightness and the blue light without changing much the colors. The fact is that this modes work also when for example one is watching a movie at full screen, so would be better to change the view mode every time one wants to use it as a tv. And is not ok for me, I don't want to lose time navigating the different menus, also because with buttons isn't easy like with the small joystick that can be found in some Acer monitors. A small free program like Flux can come in handy here, because it can be configured to don't work with full screen apps The monitor has no defects, no back lightning, no dead pixels, not a scratch. I come from a 21" TN 1600x900 monitor and this one is a bit much for the eyes, despite the low blue light and the supposed flicker free technology. After some hours I get tired and with a bit of headache. My eyes are about at 60cm from the monitor when using the keyboard and can't go more backward. I guess part of the eye strain comes from the fact that I have to get used to it, but I need to calibrate it asap. Tried it in gaming with rFactor 2 @75Hz and it's a very smooth and clear image. I have used the standard view mode. Colors seems ok to me, not oversaturated and not washed out. One needs to calibrate it to his tastes, that's it. If one wants more, have to buy at least an Asus ProArt with 100% AdobeRGB. Below that level there will be always some compromise.
i have this and the ex2510s IPS. i dont know why but the IPS makes my eyes bleed! eye strain. not sure why though. this GL2480 doesnt give me issues so much
This does not have HDMI 2.1 but that doesn't matter anyways because this isn't a 4k monitor! It would be a great budget-friendly monitor for your Xbox! But obviously if you want 1440 p gaming you have to check out some of the other benq monitors that you can find on my channel!
Are you asking if it's measured based on where the pixels end? I think it is based on where the pixels end, but I'm not 100% sure on that.. Either way, it wouldn't make much of a difference ~B
I'd try adjusting the hue and saturation in user picture mod. You can change the picture mode by the following steps: OSD menu > Picture Advanced > Picture mode > User ~B

This is the most complete review I've seen of this BenQ model, can you share your image calibration ?
In the future we hope to be able to share our image calibration for every monitor we review. We don't have that capability at the moment

Thanks for a great review. Would this suit a new Xbox series S for a small desk? The stand looks very small and compact. Does it have HTMI 2.1?

I hope you get the help you are looking for!
what is ideal setting for brightness and contrast
All depends on what you like!

24" with the black side or only the monitor panel 24 incsh

I have this but my saturation and hue is grey out why?
I'd try adjusting the hue and saturation in user picture mod. You can change the picture mode by the following steps: OSD menu > Picture Advanced > Picture mode > User

@@DigitalDavid it worked the benq team on reddit solved it for me, I needed to set mode to user then everything worked.
@@DigitalDavid yes true thank use much
Can adaptive brightness can be turn off?
I think you can do it in the display settings, but I can't remember for sure how to do it

Did This Work Without A CPU Plz Tell Mw

No this is just a display. You will need to connect a device like a computer or console etc!
Can I enable a crosshair on the monitor?
Unsure but consider drawing it on with a wipeable marker, thats what we used to do in the old days
Does this work on ps4
Yes!
@@DigitalDavid does this work on ps5 ?
@@aragonesx200 Works on all consoles. I use it for my PS5 and series S.
@@Mike.3GS l’écran est-il satisfaisant avec votre Xbox series S ?

I don't see why not!
Is there a speaker?
No built in speakers
It's good for ps5???
