Thank you for this video! I've recently bought just the A51 case and plan to rebuild one for my own. Your video was really helpful and much appreciated.
So, I've read that its better to stick with the 5820K processor since it runs at 3.8 and can easily OC to 4.3. The performance differences are supposed to be minimal. Is the 5960X that much better?
RebootDat1 that depends on what you’re using it for. The extra cores and threads on the 5960x will help with multithreaded tasks. Also, it has more PCIe lanes so you can run SLI/Xfire better. The 5960x also overclocks into the 4.5ghz range fairly easily. Both chips are getting tough to find, and for things like gaming they don’t hold up to coffee lake and 9th gen chips.
Dude, am very happy with this videos, and your idea about to do this with an Area 51 Chassi is really what am think to do too, but I hope than you can tell me where did you buy the Chassi?
Lucas W I got it off eBay. There are a variety of sellers. A good Area 51 R2 chassis with power supply and motherboard goes for about $650 including shipping.
Just found one in the trash, following so I can rebuild mine hopefully. Thanks for the great explanations
It’s the Jurassic Park shirt for me bruh and I also have the stock bronze battery , I should have got the 1500w gold a long time ago

Now this is the real power of Alienware after we rebuild it. Unlike the the fucking dell default configuration that they did on Alienware.

Really thank you! But the Chassi and all in, is new parts?
Lucas W that depends on the item for sale. In my case what I bought seemed to be new, yes.
Can you use other mobos and psus? I have a line on just a chassis.
How did you get the case with motherboard and PSU? I’m looking to find one.
Rambler358 found one on eBay. There are usually several options to choose from.
