When I was about 5, my dad played this game with me and I'm 24 now with my own kid and sadly my dad passed away half a year ago unexpectedly before even meeting his first grandkid he planned to play games with (including need for speed). Came here for the nostalgia, it was more than just a game, those are good good memories to cherish forever.
I played this game when I was 10 and I don't remember a thing about it, but this song, it's stuck with me since then and still lives rent-free in the back of my mind
rent free heh i like this term , there is like an entire village of rent free songs of nfs in my head and everyone is chillin what i'm trying say is that when they get the soundtrack perfect for the game's atmosphere, and the handling is just right , you have customisation , you have enough gamemode and make it dlc free, and have the AI challenging enough there you go you have the AAA+ game that i'm looking for and have ok graphics graphics don't matter if you don't have fun the feeling of the game plus the sentiments it produces it's what makes you come to a game again and again
Bruh, hearing this version of the song was like if I injected pure nostalgia into my blood. Fucking loved this game, nfs since never lived up to these games.
The Golden Era of Racing Games and EA in general when EA really "Challange Everything" and release one of the greatest racing games bangers. :) Kudos to our CHILDHOODs

Played this at 12 years old and had so much memorable times beating it. Now 25, beat it recently and going for the retro achievements. It’s nothing but pure nostalgia and good vibes!
I didn't remember which NFS game this song was from, so I looked for this for so long and finally, I found it! This song carries so much nostalgia this song alone is enough to make a bad day good.
My coworker always plays older 90s/early 2000s rap and hip hop..and this came on today and I instantly remembered playing Need for Speed Underground as a kid on the PS2. This played as soon as the main menu loaded up lol.
I can hear the R34 in my head, just hearing this song. I still have this game and the sequel Underground 2 too, for the ps2, still works and everything, still got the saved data in the ps2 memory cards.
Funny story, was at a McDonald's awhile back, the cashier called order #369, without missing a beat, I yelled "Damn she fine!" And like 2 other people joined in and we jammed out in the McDonald's on a random Tuesday afternoon lol😅
Good that my ears weren't exposed to the uncensored version back in the days. But this one still hits even better than in 2003. ...and that it actually is about getting low, not lowering the hell out of your suspension.
How did my religious parents allow me to listen to this song when I was like 8? Rofl This was my favorite song from the game, we used to have this bumpin all the time! I didn't know what they were talking about in the song, but it sounded cool! And this was the censored version!
Some will now remember this song from Lil Jon's performance at the DNC (which is nice), but real OGs will remember this from Need for Speed: Underground.
ok I'm just having a listen through whole underground OST this one being 20/26 and god damn this gotta be the best OST in gaming history. What the actual hell. Even after all these years it just slaps as a whole. So many bangers. Also kind of sad how rock/metal doesn't make it into mainstream that much anymore (based on other tracks from this OST)

If there were ever a song to perfectly encapsulate 2003, this is it. Absolute classic.

I’m sorry for your loss dude, I’m sure your dad is smiling from above knowing that you’re cherishing the memory and keeping it alive. 😎

Same my dad and me played this when I was 5. Then I turn 17, I played with younger brother
Please, try to continue the legacy, let your kid experience this and play these games with your kiddo together. I'm sure lil thing will love it
You are strong my brother, pls send the same love for the legacy. You cant go wrong hero❤

We had no idea how dirty this song was and what skeet skeet is.
I always thought it's "Street street street" xD
@@NTxCas a kid, I thought he said "Ski Ski Ski" 😂😂😂
Exactly. If you watch the original clip, it's dirty as hell
I always thought 3 6 9 was Race each Night.

@@oldgamescut i edited my comment after i read this...thanks for correcting me
This was probably the biggest problem with Underground. You can't replay any of the events with your souped-up car.
There is something about these old CD covers that give me a dopamine kick seeing them.
This clean version is actually better than the original
Ain't nothing sound better than awkward pauses to the lyrics?
I would say it's more of a nostalgic version of the song from the game, ha. Good game.
I can put up with the pauses, but the original one is just not very good.
Personally the only thing I like more about this version is the extra skeets as I feel it flows better.
+UsiMacintosh
OG one sounds too tryhard imo and the way they say "my BALLWZZ" sounds kinda childish af , no offense if that's your favorite version.
could spend 2 hours tuning and pimping rides to this song and never think about racing
Same here 😂 ! This game was pure gold in those times. (Lil souvenir unlocked, you're welcome)

I love this game. Just listening to this song brings back memories
imo, not only nfsu main theme, but the ANTHEM of entire NfS franchise and my childhood. 🤗
Absolutely. Dark, seedy, and heavy, but bouncy and DEFINITELY not taking itself too seriously. It's the perfect track for NFS.
