Me too!!!!!! It's my all time favorite game, and my two cars are invincible on the highway! They are the mighty Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the also mighty Nissan Skyline GT-R, and soon enough, I'll be able to get a Subaru Impreza WRX STI to add to my collection!
Today's new games may be better in most respects, but they will never be as cool as early-to-mid 2000s games. NFS Underground 2 is one such example. EA created a masterpiece with this game, and they'll spend the rest of their days trying to make a better game.
underground 2 is the gane of its time, in a way it represents the tuner era perfectly. and yes i played the game in 2021 and its one hell of an experience.
There's some things, like the NOS system, that I think the first game did better. I don't like how doing powerslides and such refills the NOS (or, worse, in NFSMW, you just need to drive fast). Much prefer the fixed amount from the first game, which forced you to be smart about using it.
They are better visually, that is all. Raw gameplay mechanics will never compare. When games were visually limited they had to play well or they would never succeed.
well coming from someone who has spent hundreds of hours playing underground 2, (and still do from time to time) ill say this, those people are wrong and you should probably learn to play a game for yourself before you decide whether or not it is shitty, ive played the game for about 70 hours or so and i will say that at first i didnt enjoy it, but stick with it and once you find a car that clicks for you itts butter, i honestly think its as good as underground 2 and carbon. you should check out my videos and let me know what you think.

wow.. i was in 9th grade, got a cracked version that came with a few viruses and a key generator of NFS underground and later hot pursuit, playing this game on my beat up laptop , for free, chilling with friends during those dog days of summer, in New Zealand . We would LAN race after school and try to customize our own whip to see whose car looks the best ... now im like 30 lol....
Heheh. It was 2005 when I got a cracked version too with a keygen that has this catchy song that can be found on youtube. I was 9 years old back then and the game was given to me by a friend of my dad. Playin on Win Xp and Pentium 4 xD Awesome memories! :))

imagine: nfs u2 except the map is way larger, graphics are way better (doesnt matter too much cuz the games fun as hell) and ofc the one thing it really lacked- COPS that badass car you made was fun but you can just race, no danger at all
This song reminds all of us that we have lived the prime days making memories out of this game and the fact that we all are grateful for those people who had even slightest piece of work done on this game for all of that to happen...

Takeshi Nakazato1 same here guys Along with Midnight Club 3, nfs carbon, nfs most wanted 2005....2000- 2013 to now
with mods its better than the newest
I'm in 2019)
Fernbus Simulator same
Today's new games may be better in most respects, but they will never be as cool as early-to-mid 2000s games. NFS Underground 2 is one such example. EA created a masterpiece with this game, and they'll spend the rest of their days trying to make a better game.
Truth
Actual care was put into games before the online craze. Now all they want is microtransactions
underground 2 is the gane of its time, in a way it represents the tuner era perfectly. and yes i played the game in 2021 and its one hell of an experience.
2023... Escutando essa relíquia 😍
Skyline, 350Z, Silvia, Supra... Rapaz que lembrança boa...
Hahaah nostalgia
Silvia wasnt in this game.
This is a game, that needs a fucking HD remaster. like, EVERYONE would buy this.
+RepeAkaro I dont know why they keep making a lot of crappy Need for speeds when they could just remaster this :)
+RepeAkaro I would happy if Origin or Steam would offer NFSU2.
+RepeAkaro need for speed 2015 is basically underground 3.... soo good
woolywaffles Well, many people say that NFS '15 is shit
well coming from someone who has spent hundreds of hours playing underground 2, (and still do from time to time) ill say this, those people are wrong and you should probably learn to play a game for yourself before you decide whether or not it is shitty, ive played the game for about 70 hours or so and i will say that at first i didnt enjoy it, but stick with it and once you find a car that clicks for you itts butter, i honestly think its as good as underground 2 and carbon. you should check out my videos and let me know what you think.
Feels like the era was yesterday, everytime i hear these underground songs, my mind travels back to 2004
You don't know how much I LOVED this game and its soundtrack. Those beautiful evenings after school playing NFS were awesome.
I literally just remembered this song, searched and found it. I used to like playing this game at times just to hear the beats. 2000s era was something else
Best Soundtrack
Best new generation graphics
Best gameplay
etc.. Please returned old EA games..
Incorrect. Need for speed most wamted is the best
@@Monk144 My childhood UG2.. But good game is MW (2005)

@@serenity5892 yes
When EA games somehow still produced games with atmosphere! For me 94er to today not only childhood but also games that worked! And why doesn't that work anymore today? Sad !
I missed old days :(

wow.. i was in 9th grade, got a cracked version that came with a few viruses and a key generator of NFS underground and later hot pursuit, playing this game on my beat up laptop , for free, chilling with friends during those dog days of summer, in New Zealand . We would LAN race after school and try to customize our own whip to see whose car looks the best ... now im like 30 lol....
mind you this song was more iconic to me than fat joes lean back
I am glad I could live in that time aren't you ! Kids nowdays will never understand :)
Heheh. It was 2005 when I got a cracked version too with a keygen that has this catchy song that can be found on youtube. I was 9 years old back then and the game was given to me by a friend of my dad. Playin on Win Xp and Pentium 4 xD
Awesome memories! :))
This song is by far the most memorable part of NFSU2
We need a remastered version of theis game
yes
fuck ye, i'll throw my money at that
miniclip1162 +1

Wow the memories. Man, best Need for Speed, hands down.
+vaiosony2 I'd say that Most Wanted was better, then UG2.
Everyone has their own favs, so i don't fire. I like both MW 2005 and UG2.
story line and map yess but upgrades underground just beat it.
+Zedxbonz Agreed.
That goes to Most Wanted, this comes close though

This is the first game I played when my parents bought me my first PC for Christmas. It was 2004. I could play this all day long and not get bored of it!
when graphics didn't matter much, and it was all about racing. bring back 2004, the ps2 era!
Well said...
Nadim Bou Karroum the tuning options where amazing... oh man i miss em
The graphics were awesome back then
Nadim Bou Karroum IKR!!
imagine: nfs u2 except the map is way larger, graphics are way better (doesnt matter too much cuz the games fun as hell) and ofc the one thing it really lacked- COPS
that badass car you made was fun but you can just race, no danger at all

Nostalgiaaaaaa
Caio Brasil NFS
Caio Brasil Marcou minha infância essa música
The Snoop is killing it. :)
This song reminds all of us that we have lived the prime days making memories out of this game and the fact that we all are grateful for those people who had even slightest piece of work done on this game for all of that to happen...
Since I played Need for Speed Underground 2 at the age of 6, I've been looking for this song. and thanks to you I found it. thanks a lot
Oh, man. The nostalgia is overflowing in me right now as I’m listening. I grew up with these games! I’m still playing nfs to this day!
wish they had this game on Xbox 360, best nfs I ever played, nfs games today are not really the same. This game underground 2 and this song gave me memories

Can still be played on pc if you can find a copy, can even be modded with much better quality textures. I still have my discs somewhere.
Back when video game companies actually took the time to perfect every aspect of their game.
Nintendo Switch Fanboy
Ahhh Good old days ..
Then realized they could make more money scamming people... :( #makegaminggreatagain
Nintendo Switch Fanboy I ducking agree
Fucking. Stupid typo lol
There's still companies like that around but they are mostly not know or an independent company
Once when I was a kid, riders on a storm started playing in my grandads car and we started singing along and my granddad asked how we know this song. And I said it's part of a video game and he wasn't having it 😭😭😭. Rest In Perfect Peace Grandad ❤️🫂
nice story friend...i loved my granddad too...sorry to hear that he's dead...all the best 🤝
RIP "grumpdad"
Tempos bons.

This brings memories but not because I played it. Before my parents got divorced and loads of shit hit the fan, I used to watch my dad play video games such as this. Mostly this one actually. I remember hearing this song in the background as I went along doing whatever a little 2 year old does. I had this song in my head but couldn't complete from the age of 8-13 and one day I heard it and found it. I felt a little more complete and memories came flooding back. That's my story connecting to this song.
I have pretty much the same story except the divorce part but I feel you man
Nice story 10/10
Damn that sucks man
I like your dad
I miss this era of just playing this game and everything in life being perfectly ok
I want a remake with 2018 graphics
That would ruin the feel of it
Mitchell Sutton totally. We have powerful machines today but no good games today. Maybe backwards compatibility would've been cool
Getúlio
i think NFSU2 remastered would be worse than the original one... Oh boy i want to play that game another time :D
If EA remade this they'd make it so that you need to have an online connection, make it pay to win, and it will be completely broken at launch
the nostalgia is immense with this game, this and carbon were my introduction to NFS, this was the golden era for NFS. i loved them both
Unfortunately EA would probably have a pay to play and dlc for the game if they did. They don't care if the games are good or not anymore. If it won't make em money they won't do it lol
