I have mostly been dissappointed in coffee note fragrances precisely becauase they have a hazelnut or milky dilution. Would luv it if someone would come out with a serious French Roast style fragrance.
Please let me know if you find one! In the next video I will talk about Caravansérail by Nikolaï, that one is actually great, but not as coffee-focused
I've sampled through most of these -- have not smelled Night, unfortunately which you rate highly! Also, I've never smelled Haze. I like the opening of Awake, but it's not a love for the whole experience. I prefer Follow, from Kerosene, which is less "latte" -- though that ends up smelling sweet/syrupy in the drydown. I don't know of any coffee fragrance that maintains the coffee note well into drydown! I also strongly disliked Malt. Love Ink, love Smoke, kinda love Bake (lemon pastry, though, so you have to like that!). There's a travel one now (used to be a Harrod's exclusive) called East; and there's a Tea one, which makes me think the brand is leaning toward more benign vices lately.
Wow, we have pretty similar taste! 😄 I tried East -- it's beautiful, but I have smelled this same scent a hundred times before. Ink is great! And my favorite version of Bake is Devotion by D&G, because it smells more smooth and round than Bake. By the way, the new launch, Infusion, I am very excited about! Please let me know if you try it before me, I'm so curious 🌷
@@katekhara I'll have to get a sample of Devotion... Have you tried Unknown Pleasures by Kerosene? It's got a bit more going on than Bake, but definitely lemon pastry in there, big sweet gourmand thing. And Follow, by Kerosene, is my favorite Coffee [... edit because repeating myself]. I really like both Bake and Awake, though. Just having to me maybe better alternatives points me to Ink and Smoke!
@@wagstaff6135 I am honestly not very familiar with Kerosene line, but I really want to! I tried a couple of fragrances "on the go", so don't really remember them. What should I start with do you think?
Have you tried Akro fragrances? What's your favorite?
I get the hazelnut in Awake too!
