I have received Kia Canada’s Safety Recall RC201 (Transport Canada 2024-173) in the Post. It specifically notes that this is different then the previous Kia Service Campaign SC063 for the ICCU. I have scheduled a service appointment with my dealer for my 2023 EV6. The recall states that Kia will inspect and if necessary, replace the ICCU and ICCU fuse and install updated ICCU software free of charge at no cost to myself. The service should take 1 to 2 hours however may take longer depending on the result of the inspection.

Thanks for all the updates Brian. I know only the minority suffer an ICCU fail but I still feel a sense of trepidation every time I take a long trip in my otherwise wonderful EV6. Pity

On the latest Electrifying podcast Tom said he’s seen full photos of the EV3. Apparently it’s almost identical to the concept.

my iccu died two days before recall visit - car is nearly 2 years old gt line rwd - ireland - fixed replaced in one day ...
That’s a really quick fix. Someone in the comments last week told their was good stock of spares in the EU/UK
