Im a Dak lover. Been working on them since 1983. O think I have 5. When tuned well, they scream. The plate modulated output tube configuration is similar to what Tram did with the D201. I remember when the dak radios hit the area in about 1980. The aluminum rivets that connect the top of the pc board to the bottom are a bugger. Great to see your video. I'll buy the dak mark x if you don't want to. LOL.
The only good part of a dak is the case.the rest is junk. I have one with tram 42,the other with star 3900..perfect is possoble but you have to know what youre doing to make them work.
I had a Mark IX for years. Decent performance. Not very selective .

I know that board top and bottom in the area your looking try searching the top side for two side trace.cracked or open.
Customer doesn't want to spend the money to repair this. I don't blame him. So this radio will be set aside for a bit.
