Thats the thing here man, age and life experiences change a person whether some want to admit it or not and youre never the same again. Going up in divisions also has something to do with it also. Her best shot is back at 115 IF she is 110% serious about this. Well at least she gets it though as the analysts wanted her to badly say she wanted Val or Alexa, no sir. RN knows where she is and lets see how she does vs Maycee next! The timing for those two is perfect since both just fought ya know. Amanda has nothing to hang her head over, it was a close fight despite the public doubt and she worked very hard to go 5 with RN.

It is not against the law for a 20 something year old to know a 14 year old nor is it against the law for that 14 year old to ask out the older party once they are of legal age which is what happened. They both were around a lot of people when they were training together between Rose being 14-18 years old and not 1 single person has come forward as a witness to say Pat groomed Rose. Glad Rose got it done, but I'm not so confident she'll be as successful at flyweight (and this fight was really between two beefed-up strawweights). It's almost like she was content with point-fighting tonight.

I’d have to agree. People at the top, like Grasso and Shevchenko, are dialed in strategically - whereas Rose looked lackadaisical here.
Closer fight than what I saw on twitter posts. Rewatched this morning. If Ribas didnt try to go for leg logs and trips, she would have won. Rose won on ground control alone. Even though Ribas tried multiple submission attempts the judges dont score as high as they do for ground control. I am a Rose fan but if that fight stayed on the feet, she would have lost.

The mechanics of Rose’s boxing is outstanding for MMA. That said, she looked fairly one-dimensional here - something she normally isn’t.
She was missing a strategic layer and I think it’s fair to assume it’s due to the lack of Whittman’s coaching.
