Should have asked if Wittman has been fired. This kid could get a title shot at 125 but needs a better team. And providing and taking care of Pat might backfire, so get Wittman back or a better team at least because the last performance looked as if she hadn't even trained much.

It's weird seeing Rose fighting prospects and contenders on Fight Nights after she's been on so many PPVs over the years, but it's good to see she's in the mix at flyweight.
Hopefully, she'll be more acclimated to the heavier weight class this time around, but, unlike Fiorot (a large flyweight), Ribas has fought at strawweight, so it shouldn't be too much of a struggle. Ribas' last fight against Maycee Barber was a banger, but both women are in the middle of the pack compared to super-talented prospects like Erin Blanchfield, Natalia Silva and Karine Silva. I wanna see if Rose can use her veteran savvy to win another belt against this new crop of challengers.
Facts
Rose is such a gangster to move up to flyweight! She could easily beat Weili again at strawweight and get her belt back. Somehow she's still an underrated fighter, one of the all-time greats.

She’s weirdly underrated. It’s like people don’t take her seriously just because she has flaws (which makes her more relatable, endearing, and impressive and iconic when she triumphs). People act like Joanna and Weili are levels above her in ability and significance to the division and to women’s mma in general. Rose beat them both! Twice each!! Maybe Amanda still takes the women’s GOAT status but it’s crazy to me that Rose is never even considered part of that conversation.
She is a part of that conversation. It's just not spoken of as much just because she still technically early in her career. 125 lb is the second half of her career. All we can do is wait and see what she does.

I agree. Rose is one of the few female fighters I consider a top fighter. She has a beautiful style & soul. I like her standup style. She’s light on her feet and quick like a cat

I realize trying to cut weight to 115 lb (strawweight) as Rose gets older must he brutal. But I don't think she's built for 125 lb (flyweight). She looked small in that debut bout. These gals at 125 are a lot stronger and hit a lot harder. I guess time will tell.
