Hahah !! Yes! Some day when both Lolita/Ouji and BJD's stop taking my money and I surpass 'budget' status for my fashion funds I will do a proper transformation sequence justice 😂
When I was younger I was really interested in lolita but I HATE wearing dresses (turns out im a trans guy lol) so ouji seems like a perfect fit for me!
same, i've always loved lolita style but i was always like "thats not for me, its just gonna make me dysphoric" and recently i found out ouji style and im living for it!
i've always loved lolita, but i always kinda wanted a more masculine version of it since i like to dress all three styles, androgynous, masculine, and feminine. So ouji is great!
also if u have a thrifted vest or etc. its nice to add some trim or small lace to it for some added fanciness lol, just like if u can sew its really easy to do
Very helpful! I've been interested in ouji but somewhat scared by all the new pieces I thought I would have to buy. This guide will really help integrate it into my wardrobe using my EGL/EGA pieces.
Thank you so much for this! I've been wanting to give ouji a go for a while but was a little spooked by the lack of resources. Feels like I have a place to start now. This helped a ton!
I love dressing up and when I learned about ouji I absolutely fell in love. I'm not old enough for a job though so I kinda have to find ouji clothing on a budget. I have an idea of how I'm going to get money though and my plan starts next week, so I'm hoping that the plan works out so I'm actually able to buy ouji clothes! In the meantime i'm watching tips and what stores to buy ouji from on a budget lol :]
Great way to buy super cheap accessories (including really nice mini-hats) is to wait until the Halloween costumes come out! I have some pretty nice finds from doing that1
Oh nooo! On, my end, Australia summers get pretty crazy as well so I feel your pain, it's definitely not fun wearing warmer ouji coordinates during then. A short sleeved blouse and a vest might be a work-around for the summer heat.
How much wiggle room do the typical ouji brands have? For example, if the waist on a jacket is stated as 78cm and my waist is 80cm, will this be an absolute no or is there a few cm wiggle room? I’m male and asian, I live in the UK and would be relying on getting things posted from Asia.
It really depends on the brand to be honest :) (Some brands are know to "run small" so a little research wouldn't hurt). The second thing would also be fabrics - while some have some stretch some definitely won't have any give - I recommend sizing up when in doubt in your case as it can be super disappointing to receive a piece that won't fit. Some taobao brand will also offer custom sizing so perhaps you could also look into that. There is also lacemarket/ local 2nd hand sales where you could message the seller directly int regards to the opinion of sizing if you want to go down that route. Hope that helps and let me know if there are any more questions :)
@@katelinkimmet Thanks very much! I’m looking to order the Zjstory age of exploration long jacket, it’s perfect for what I’m putting together but I’m a bit hesitant in case the size I order doesn’t fit well. Sadly, they don’t offer custom sizing. Have you had much experience with getting clothes altered? Sizing up sounds like good advice, a larger outfit can be sized down but not vice versa
@@omegaglory1 Ooh yes ! that jacket is definitely a lovely piece - while i haven't had any pieces altered myself (I tend to just sell pieces on if they don't fit), I have had some friends alter pieces themselves/take it to the tailor. I suppose it also depends on if you'd be willing to spend 'X amount' on getting it altered - the only other downside is that altering will often reduce the resale price if you change your mind about it down the track (but hey- if you love the piece, got some extra funds and don't plan to sell , then altering is a good option :) ).
I wish there were Ouji headphones so i could listen to music and not having to buy those rather ugly looking airpods Perhaps putting a tiny little crown on top for the dashing detail but what else could be done to save me from this musicless perdicament ?
haha :P ! Yeah what is one to do! Haha a few lolita brands have put out all sort of lolita novelty items so perhaps we could cross our fingers something comes out to make listening to music all the more cooler!
That transformation though...
I need a reverse magical girl anime where a lolita turns into an badass ouji sword fighter.

@@katelinkimmet You also collect BJD?!
YESS PLEASE I WOULD WATCH IT EVERYDAY

I also hate dresses.

Dude me too!!
I'm non binary, and I love both of the fashons! It makes me sad that I can never find sweet ouji though, it's so much harder to find ouji than lolita.
Same!! I feel like it’s a good expression of how I want to present masculinity somehow

Yeah :D Ouji fills this very nice pocket ! Thus always great having the option of doing both ouji or lolita depending on one feels like :)
I have a problem............ i like everything and i cant decide wich one i wanna use lol
haha yeah :P !!! always a hard decision to narrow it down!
Ouji looks like the style for me. Especially more gothic Ouji. I just want to look like an androgynous vampire from the old-world! 😩
Ahhh sammmeee, so much gender envy looking at gothic and vampiric inspired ouji coords
Yeeesssss same! ♥️

0:21 bro thats transformation is hands down one of the most iconic transformations out there

with the younger vs older style, I would separate them as the crown prince, and the child prince
haha yeah, can definitely see how it can be seen that way :D!

I'm so excited to start aaaa when I get my next paycheck I think I'll either get a classic or gothic outfit to start with
This is really good video on Ouji fashion.
If you can sew how about tailoring cheap pants into shorts?
yeah that could work! I find ouji is definitely more forgiving then lolita :)
This is very useful, thank you so much!
Happy to help :)
0:24 I felt in love with that outfit😍
ThanK YOu
What about ouji clothes for hot weather cause I live in Florida
I like Ouji a lot but I feel like it would be to uncomfortable and to fancy for me, so I do a more casual look of ouji so I can wear it out more
I kind of want to dress up like this but the weather is insufferable in the country I live in(it's usually 40°C in the summer)
Oh nooo! On, my end, Australia summers get pretty crazy as well so I feel your pain, it's definitely not fun wearing warmer ouji coordinates during then. A short sleeved blouse and a vest might be a work-around for the summer heat.
Thanks for the video
Trying my hand at ouji for days when I have a meet but dysphoria is kicking my butt

can i do the mature style with shorts?
of course , honestly it just depends on the overall styling :)
Ceil Phantomhive does it.
There are some errors but interesting video.
haha perhaps :P there isn't much on ouji so figured to give it my best shot as not much out there!
@@katelinkimmet It's okay! I liked your video anyway 😉.

Thanks for the tip's new I can have a tea party with Alice in the wonderland😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why do Lolita always say Lolita after every other word?!
Every time I heard I laugh for some reason 😂
