I'm glad you mentioned you can get bags any where. When I first started buying lolita a year ago I was low key embarrassed to go to ebay. Because I thought I had to stay with brand and people would judge. I don't know... It was silly. But yeah its perfectly fine to get a bag from ebay or Amazon.

I have a question, I have 3 dresses so far and have just ordered my 4th. I haven't dressed in lolita yet because I want the first time to be on my birthday so it's memorable. But, two of my dresses are halter neck OP's am I supposed to wear a blouse with them? also if I have wrist cuffs on can my hands be bear or do my fingers have to be covered? I've tried looking these up but all that comes up is realllllly long articles from ages ago that don't explain things very well. Also, I love your content and your coords are gorgeous!
By halter neck OP do you mean an OP that has the two strings in the front? Because those are meant to cross in an “x” across the chest and tie behind the neck(look up Angelic Pretty French Cafe op to see what I mean) Also wear rings if you want to but you don’t “have” to. I often wear 1 ring but you don’t have to fill your fingers with them. Experiment and see what works for you, many people don’t wear rings cause they are allergic to the material like resin or metal alloy so just wear what you like :)
Lolita fashion like every other fashion style is about what YOU like and how YOU want to express yourself. My everyday style is very casual and I do more aristocratic looks for special occasions so sometimes I’ll wear crowns, veils, rings, and the whole shabang and other days it’s just a headband and bracelet. Just wear what you like and make sure your themes and colors make sense
Hi! :D I'm trying to get into Lolita and I had a question about shoes. I'm the kind of guy who basically only wears big shoes, like an additional 5-7 inches kind of big. I wanted to know if you could possibly wear platforms with Lolita too? I was thinking Kera-08 or Poison-99-2 for sweet Lolita and something like Demon-11 for gothic Lolita from Demonia might fit the styles. If it's not allowed by the fashion then that's totally okay, I'm just a little insecure about my height, so I wanted to check if it was alright before I bought any more platforms just to go with Lolita. Thanks for taking the time to read this :3
I feel like it really depends on the style you are going for but generally yes, if you are wearing a jsk wear a blouse. You could skip the blouse and wear a cardigan or peignoir but again, it depends on the style
Thank you for this video! I live in Florida so I especially liked your tips for dressing lolita in hot weather. I had no idea hoop petticoats existed! Now I HAVE to get one. Also I have a question: how do you find what lolita style suits you best? How would you experiment with different styles?
I think you should try a lolita style that’s closer to your current wardrobe. For example, if you currently wear a lot of pastels or fairykei-like clothes then sweet lolita might be something you can try. If you’re more into darker clothes or goth aesthetics then try gothic Lolita. I started out wearing sweet lolita then branched off into other styles. You can definitely wear more than one, I have dresses from each substyle.
@@asamimoon5789 That's the thing though... I don't really have a current "style." But recently I had an epiphany, and decided that I want to reinvent myself once I'm in college. I struggle a lot with self-confidence, so I think that finding my sense of style and wearing clothes I actually like might help me feel a lot more confident. I've always thought lolita was super cool and secretly wanted to try it out, so here I am 😅 I also think one reason why lolita is appealing to me is because it has a lot of "rules." I think it's less intimidating if I have a sort of "template" that I can follow so I know where to start. So far I'm really drawn to gothic lolita but I'm not sure if it would be the right choice if I'm just starting out, (plus, black probably isn't good for hot weather.) I also want to try a bunch of different substyles like you mentioned. Do you think I should start out with something simple like classic lolita before trying bolder styles like sweet, gothic, etc.? I just don't want to make any expensive mistakes
