@@TEAMSWARTZ the first recruiter I went to said that I couldn’t enlist with only my 2-year green card. He said I needed to be a good ways into my 10 year before I could proceed so we decided to start our family and then we PCS’d from fort drum to fort wainwright, I got integrated with a recruiter there who said I needed to wait my 6 months postpartum before I could start the process but that my 2 year green card was perfectly fine. Next thing, the wainwright recruiter promised me that if my acasp was approved by the schoolhouse then it was more than likely that I would get a preference of duty station which was not true because I follow my husband who’s already been in for 6 years. Next we get orders for Arizona, we are now here in Arizona and I’ve gone to 3 different recruiting stations. The first one told me that I had to accept a heavy mos because I had “too much weight to lose” and that acasp would not be in my favor. I went to the next one, this one told me that processing overweight immigrants wasn’t worth her time because she got enough recruits from the local high school. I go to my current recruiter and they laid it all out right for me and are setting me up with all the right tools to be successful and finally join the army. It took 5 recruiters and 5 different recruiting stations but I’ve finally found 1 that was honest and truly willing to put in the time. It’s not difficult to put me in, it’s just not as simple as an 18 year old kid fresh out of high school. I have no record, not medical problems other than I had a child. I’ve been a pharmacy technician for almost 8 years with every accolade and credential in the book, bachelors degree and the most stable family care plan. I’m an easy recruit, I do need to lose some inches because the army tape test is not as accepting of fully figured women but I am working on it. My sons recruiter was on point. He got 116 GT score not bad with no studies. 17 echo📡 AIT. E3 with no college credits and also got TSC. His contract didn't have Airborne but he did qualify at the Meps just incase he changed his mind. I told him to try Air Assault.
I enlisted first time in 2016 under MAVNI program as an Active Duty, I been waiting for all kind of different investigations (who is familiar with MAVNI program know what I’m talking about) but never shipped out to BCT. After becoming a PR, I signed a new contract with new recruiter. I have learned and researched so much for the past 5 years that I know exactly what it is true and what is not. I agree that the best advice is if it’s not written on the paper and signed - then you should do some research or even check with different recruiters! It’s like you ask bank for a loan and the bank will tell you that your APR is 0%, it probably won’t be true unless bank send you to sign agreement with 0% APR. All promises are promises unless it’s documented!
Was that around the time they stopped the MAVNI Program, which would explain why you never shipped out or your original recruiter never processed your MAVNI Packet? Thanks for sharing… Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
Lol my original recruiter had a Gold and Silver Ring for recruiting. Dude is about to retire from the Army at 42. He kept trying to get me to be a tanker. And I was like well I want to be a mechanic or something. And he’s like well just look up every job on RUclips maybe you’ll change your mind. Glad he told me to because I quickly changed my mind. After that he kept trying to turn me over to all the other recruiters. For all the different paperwork. I haven’t talked to him since. I’ve talked to mainly the MP recruiter and the Commanding Officer at the Recruiting Station. The CO has been straight up and honest with me about everything. Things I need to bring with me for MEPS. All the paperwork I really do need to fill out. Regardless I haven’t had a bad experience with any of the recruiters they just gave me a lot of shit for my driving record.

🤣 Perhaps he was probably being sarcastic knowing full well the real Army is not like Call of Duty and such an MOS like the US Army Marine Chore Navy Seal of Meal Team 6 is nonexistent. Come on, now. That's laughable. My recruiter didn't tell me anything like that and they was for Army National Guard.
I tried to enlist in the Army and take ROTC to become an officer. The recruiter was trying to get me to go active instead of reserve. Then the recruiter did not want me to take ROTC, instead go to OCS. Overall a few recruiter did not help me nor I had a specific job. Now I want to become an engineer or intelligence.
My recruiter went above and beyond for me. I have been patient and he has been fantastic. If it wasn't unprofessional I'd buy that man a steak dinner. Lol
I really want some advice on 88M. It's right now the MOS I'm applying for but I hear some shitty stuff about it and that's its very deadly but I can't actually find what deadly means if it's 5 deaths a year or hundreds I can't find the number. Would i be better going for 92A or something along those lines??
It can be dangerous in the combat zone transporting from one location to the next in dealing with potential IED’s. Otherwise it’s a good MOS. 92A is a great choice too… Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
@@TEAMSWARTZ my problem is I can't find anyone who has worked the job willing to talk about it. I know you're not supposed to be deployed more than once every four year contract but some people claim all they get is deployments.
AD can do back to back deployments. Guard/Reserve has a 3 yr stabilization period between deployments. If you have Instagram, my section chief is and was deployed as an 88M: instagram.com/nynationalguardsectionchief? Ask her whatever you need and tell her I sent you. Master Sergeant (MSG) Rowe
Not unless that’s what you wanted or willing to do. AD is an excellent choice if it meets your needs, wants and desires. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
He is right if you were in a unit that’s not lined up and preparing for a deployment. Sounds to me like you’re doing predeployment training. I can’t speak for your Recruiter but I share a typical schedule for a combat support unit versus a combat arms unit and if it’s a typical drill schedule versus a unit ramping up for a deployment. That way they’re aware of the possibilities to prevent expectations like this from being twisted and being felt like you were lied to. Sorry to hear that… What’s your MOS?
I'm planning to join Utah national guard and I've seen on their website: Active guard and reserve. My question is to know if there is active duty in the national gaurd. If not, what do they mean by that?

@@TEAMSWARTZ About deployment. My unit is on rotation for deployment every year. I am National Guard. I was told that I would only be deployed if there is war or emergencies. I received a 61% on the asvab and I was told I was qualified for very few jobs because my score wasn't high enough.

What type of unit are you in and what is your MOS?
My recruiter told me your asvab score was good we have multiple jobs for you… 11b is offering a big bonus but your too old to go infantry probably won’t make it. 31 years old at the time but still hard headed I said well there’s no other choice but infantry

Yeah my recruiter was 100% with me. Most people I knew their recruiters were 100%. The people who seemed to have issues with their recruiters were shit bags. Like huge shit bags and they were the ones who had issues with the Cadre and honestly had issues with listening in general.
Back in my day huh? Agreed, Recruiting was atrocious back then and No, not all recruiters lie. Bragging about it? I've never seen or heard of a recruiter bragging about lying to applicants. I think you're misinformed or have a skewed mindset on the matter. Thank for your service and I appreciate what you’ve done for us all🙏🏼🇺🇸
I just basically wrote about my experience with my recruiter in 1989 and provided the same advice regarding reading the contract when at MEPS that I received from my 1SG when I was a JROTC cadet in high school. Nothing I wrote was inaccurate or misleading.
When I went to my recruiter for the 1st time, he straight up told me when he sat down "I know You know your shit" and I said I sure do 👏🏽😂 I feel like some recruiters know who to mess with and who not to 💯 ( basically who do their research & who doesn’t). Yes there’s a lot of recruiters who lie but at the end of the day, it’s your responsibility to do the research and use your discernment . So I don’t feel sorry for people who always blame their recruiters for lying to them in this day in age, when there’s so much research out there.
I totally agree and honestly, I prefer they already did at least a basic level of research. I spend less time explaining and most of what I share confirms what they already learned. It’s more of let me get to know you, marry your needs, wants and desires with what we have to offer to see if we would be a good fit or not. Then ask for the commitment. Simply sharing information needed to help make a well informed decision. Despite certain leadership throughout my 17yrs of recruiting, I am not a manipulator. Meaning, I don’t sell the Guard. I share the Guard and I don’t try to sell you or strong arm or overtly be like you need to join type of tactics. Here’s the information and how we can help, wanna make it happen? Hope that makes sense. I hate when recruiters pressure people into joining and/or rush the process. Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼

I really dislike it when certain recruiters try to force you to take a lower job than what you want. I know it’s y’all job to make recruits to see other options if the job they want isn’t available. But some recruiters do it in a way to make you feel less then. Especially if you fail the test. Personally, I don’t want to just take a job that going to make me miserable. Scored a 489 on my last practice ACFT but my hips are 2” too wide so they don’t care about my ACFT score lol
Wow! Glad you’re being taken care of now and sounds to me like you had some lazy/new recruiters… Good luck and best wishes in Training! 💪🏼

That’s correct! I was one of the last people who joined thru MAVNI.
That was a great program for active duty… wished at the time it was offered to Guard/Reserve. Glad it all worked out for you!
Glad you had/having such a great experience! Thank you so very much for watching this video, sharing and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
Love the little "ouch" sound effects lmfao

My recruiter told me a lot of bullshit things about the army, just to keep me on my toes at basic 😂

My recruiter was the best dude ever .
The MEPs SSG helping me with my Contract sucked once I signed the Contract ,I Got the wrong job I dint want and no bonus expecting a Quick ship Bonus did not get nothing I dint get it , till my recruiter read the Contract and 😮said you dint get your bonus written in the Contract go back inside and ask to get a new Contract they said no and that's it get fucked .

I wouldn’t say they lie in these times I feel like many don’t know a lot. I feel like many should be honest and say look it up online instead of pretending they know it all when they don’t. They are humans too.
I agree… As recruiters we don’t know everything and what I do, is I seek experienced people in the area of interest to gain valuable insights for my applicants or soldiers. I don’t pretend to know it all lol… Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
ye idk swartz. my recruiter told me it would be just like call of duty. he said i would get to be a us army marine chore navy seal of meal team 6.
Lol Okayyyy… Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
My recruiter was honest enough to tell me they don’t shit and they I did my own research
Outstanding!!! Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
Why didn’t you make it?
@@TEAMSWARTZ I was going through some hardship, therefore I could not enlist.
@@Napoleon1323 How about now?
@@TEAMSWARTZ now I'm trying too. I'm trying to lose weight, go to basic and go to direct commission. Any thoughts
My recruiter went above and beyond for me. I have been patient and he has been fantastic. If it wasn't unprofessional I'd buy that man a steak dinner. Lol
Hooahlujah! I love hearing these types of comments! Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
Well, I sent a Thank-You card to the recruiting office where my recruiter worked. It was for all of them.
Looks like you’re slimming down and bulking up, Drill Sergeant!
Trying to lol 🙏🏼
I really want some advice on 88M. It's right now the MOS I'm applying for but I hear some shitty stuff about it and that's its very deadly but I can't actually find what deadly means if it's 5 deaths a year or hundreds I can't find the number. Would i be better going for 92A or something along those lines??
It can be dangerous in the combat zone transporting from one location to the next in dealing with potential IED’s. Otherwise it’s a good MOS. 92A is a great choice too…
Thank you so very much for watching this video and I hope you stay blessed!

My my recruiter was right when he said “drill is 1 weekend a month and 1 week out of the summer” here I am with week long drills and JRTC

My recruiter did lie to me. In addition, they need to stop lying, there are so many miserable people in the Army.

@@TEAMSWARTZ About deployment. My unit is on rotation for deployment every year. I am National Guard. I was told that I would only be deployed if there is war or emergencies. I received a 61% on the asvab and I was told I was qualified for very few jobs because my score wasn't high enough.

@@keracampbell9764 yeah im wondering too I'd like to avoid that MOS

I haven’t deleted anything. What did it say?
Maybe it’s flagged for review because I have key words blocked…
I just basically wrote about my experience with my recruiter in 1989 and provided the same advice regarding reading the contract when at MEPS that I received from my 1SG when I was a JROTC cadet in high school. Nothing I wrote was inaccurate or misleading.

When I went to my recruiter for the 1st time, he straight up told me when he sat down "I know You know your shit" and I said I sure do 👏🏽😂
I feel like some recruiters know who to mess with and who not to 💯 ( basically who do their research & who doesn’t).
@@TEAMSWARTZ See that’s why I respect you 💪🏽
I can tell by your energy your a great person / recruiter 😎. Thank you for not being one of those bad recruiters out there. Your really making a huge impact on people lives. I had so many recruiters over the time put me down and say that the job I want (68C) is very hard to get and your not going to get that job, or it’s to hard etc. I know it’s a hard slot to get but I’m going to keep trying because I’m really passionate about it .
I wanna love what I do & be happy. I don’t wanna be one of those veterans that talk so bad about the military & scare other kids from joining. There’s a lot of good that comes out of it.
This is my only way out of my neighborhood & give me a better life for myself.
Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH Your the best 👏🏽🇺🇸
