NintendoComplete I had this game when I was a kid and at the time I thought it was good and I played it very often. I guess I didn’t have too high standards back in a day. After all, all we had were bootleg consoles and bootleg games on yellow cartridges that we could buy on a marketplace. _I miss them..._
It's hilarious just how lazy this game is considering in 92 the Swan Song era of NES titles was when developers went all out on the platform. I mean just look at stuff like Little Sampson or the Startropics Games.
NintendoComplete How come so many late NES games have music you’d usually hear on a C64 or something? (Examples: This game, Alien 3, MC Kids, Jurassic Park, Lethal Weapon, etc.)
@@amso7169 Hmm I dunno, really. Maybe once the C64 started to die, people that had been working on the Commodore started switching over similar, more commercially viable platforms like the NES for development? Codemasters and Ocean were both big on C64, and their stuff mostly came much later on the NES's life.
FINALLY I FOUND IT!!! I was looking this gawe for such a looooong time! I remember i tried it as a kid probably at my cousin, and i was scared of it because of the ghosts, the three and hanging tree.. i was looking everywhere i started to think i might even dreamed about something like that. Oh man thank you so much, i never really played k just checked it and was amazed and scared by it
@@anchorpoint3631 it was probably a port directly from the game boy with minimum effort. Some lazy developers did that for a quick buck (Indiana jones, cliffhanger, etc).
This game is so nostalgic to me. I remember that I played it on a black and white tv in my childhood, early in 90s. It's a quite rare game to find and now, over 30 years later,I could finally see the end of game. Thanks to the gameplay.
If there's something that makes this game creepy is the lack of music. And this was the very first and maybe only title without almost none bgm i ever played in my childhood.
If there's one thing I can complement the game on, it's that the stairs in the mansion's central hub room look... conspicuously nice compared to pretty much everything else in the game.
I dont know why people waste their time with Mozart or Beethoven when there is a masterpiece like this you could listen to on a 10 hour loop! I could listen to that and the AMAZING in game music continuously, forever.
The graphics could be better, considering the release dates. It’s not as bad as Aladdin, The Lion King, or Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but still. At least there’s no slowdown.
This game shares the same music driver library that many other NES Ocean Software games used. As a result, there is a hidden version and copyright string: Music Driver (C) Jonathan Dunn & Ocean Software
Those eyes.... I know Pugsley can be a little demon, but this is weird. Even for him. The lack of music during the stages is also weird. 9:14 THAT is Wednesday ?! This game sure looks ugly.
Is this game rare or something?? I had a copy of it from years ago when I was younger and it got lost, now I can't even find a listing for this game on Ebay that's under 100 dollars
NintendoComplete I think I prefer side scrolling platformers, but honestly I couldn't get through the insane respawning enemies / difficulty of fester's quest
Gawd the music is terrible. It has that Code Masters sound to it. Bleck. Edit: And then I realize besides the intro the game has NO music. Well that was probably a good idea lol. This game is junk.
It takes some real talent to make an NES game that's this ugly, but at least it plays much better than the first Addams Family game!
That's not a big standard, you know?

This is basically a NES version of the Super NES game based on the movie, but you play as Pugsley (from the animated series ) instead of Gomez.
I think this was a prototype
@@tmmastonno this actually got released.
This video is full of my childhood memories, thank you

They seriously didn't make any music for the main game

Love that intro tune
Good memories

My favorite part was when you got to play as Pugsley.
The graphics could be better, considering the release dates. It’s not as bad as Aladdin, The Lion King, or Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but still. At least there’s no slowdown.

The best one, used to play it all the time in the 90s.
I LOVED it! I believe I was lucky to have this game.
Those eyes....
I know Pugsley can be a little demon, but this is weird. Even for him.
The lack of music during the stages is also weird.
9:14 THAT is Wednesday ?!
This game sure looks ugly.
I always thought the lack of music was weird too. So were the flat 1 color backgrounds. Hahaha, maybe those are the beady eyes of mental illness ;)
NintendoComplete i’m sorry i didn’t noticed the background. I was caught by Pugsley’s look.
The look of evil....
@@luciebureau6815 He looks like he did Cleopatra eyes with makeup
NintendoComplete more like an exaggerated version of Alex DeLarge.
@@luciebureau6815 Lmao I think you're right. That's really disturbing.
beautiful. Perfect masterpiece
Never played this one, but the lack of BGM is eerie. I'm sure that was the producers intention. XD
Something tells me this was a prototype for the SNES and Sega Genesis versions of the game.
Is this game rare or something?? I had a copy of it from years ago when I was younger and it got lost, now I can't even find a listing for this game on Ebay that's under 100 dollars
Why does Wednesday look like Mark's rotting body from the Monster Party ending?
-NintendoComplete.-everyday a New Game! I like the Addams Family too.
Good game but surprisingly no music during gameplay.
i used to play this alot when i was a kid
Omg 2:15 I didnt figure that out So many secrets
I played this game 9 yrs back damn😔
The map is huge, feels like metroidvania
If I didn't know this was an actual release from Ocean, I'd have thought that this was a bootleg. This was such a lazy effort!
no music?
This was my favorite NES game. Fuck Mario. This one felt back then like open world game. And had better graphics.
“Better graphics”
Never played this and I had nintendo as a kid.
You've done it again, furnished me with another wonderfully bad game to review. I'll be sure to mention you and link to this video.
Looks good except no music at all is horrible
no music of all game ? strange for the support NES
Pugsley's book candy 🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬
WHERE'S THE MUSIC
Right?
hi mr smith hope ur doing ok
Heya, I'm good, all things considered :) Who is this? Sorry! I don't recognize your YT name.
this looks way better than fester's Quest nes
You really think so? I mean, this isn't terrible, but I thought Fester's Quest was so much better in just about every way.
NintendoComplete I think I prefer side scrolling platformers, but honestly I couldn't get through the insane respawning enemies / difficulty of fester's quest
@@fahriakalin5936 Have you tried the PAL version? That one's difficulty level was tweaked to make the game much more manageable.
NintendoComplete ok, I'll check it out!!
@Vincent Schmitt Oh yeah, Kodaka's music was *always* on point. The man doesn't get enough recognition imo.
It was the best game i ever had after superMario 😂
My first horror game 🤣
The SNES version was better.
If you're taking graphics and sound, I agree. For gameplay, the SNES game is horrible. It's sooooo hard to the point that it's not at all fun to play.
Gawd the music is terrible. It has that Code Masters sound to it. Bleck.
