Hello, we have winter, the temperature reaches 3 degrees and -4 degrees. Is it enough to bring them into the chicken house and close the windows?

We have had no issues with that temp. We don’t have sustained temps at those levels but we do have periods below that. Assuming we are talking about Fahrenheit.

We would never survive without our dogs, they are the hero’s of the farm. Get a good dog and keep it on duty and so many problems will go away.

Farmers do wear white pants, on purpose, in the show ring at the fair. Some of us wear whatever has been stained and is no longer used for "good." The critters do not care what we look like, just want us to be sure they have fresh feed and water.
