i think it's veeeeeery shinee in that it sounds like shinee even if it's also not shinee? that's what shinee has always been about. even the dance is very shinee-esque with moves that are just so shinee! and the harmonies, the color even in the chorus and rap parts, SO SHINEE. like who even thought shinee would do dubstep with everybody but the chorus still had that pop melody sound that blends shinee's voices so well.

anyone who says it's not their style I'm sorry but then you don't know them! they are the only group that experiments with any kind of style and succeeds perfectly in everything!!! they then transform the various musical styles into THEIR PERSONAL STYLE! IN SHINEE STYLE !!!
This is true but, as a SHINee fan since their debut, it still sounds to me more like an NCT or SuperM song. Each time in the past when they’ve come out with a “new” sound or style, I was like “this is very different but very SHINee (ex: Sherlock, View, Good Evening).” I know the BTS story that Minho asked for this song but at the same time, it seems like something SM would choose and not something the members would usually go for. But, I KNOW Shinee can pull off any concept and maybe they do want to also try this style bc it does align with the current SM style and they wanted to try it after such a long break. I’m not complaining or saying the song is bad - I think the song is great! I’m just trying to explain why there are people who think it’s “not Shinee.” You know what I mean?
@@mmveelee It's not SHINee if they're not doing something different musically with each comeback. You learn to expect the unexpected from them. They were going for something which will grab 4th generation K Pop fans to them and they succeeded.. The members did want this song as their title track and did several different takes before they settled with this one. They worked extra hard on the vocals and the choreography. That choreography was the hardest presentation they've ever done. They admitted that on several interviews. The whole album was amazing and if you're looking for older style SHINee, the b-sides are on point with that. They even incorporated retro sounds like 70's-80's funk/disco eras. This is totally SHINee's style. Anyone that thinks otherwise, doesn't know them at all.

A lot of shawols were saying this sounded like a NCT song and that’s why they didn’t like it but me being an nctzen I just don’t hear it. I haven’t heard much of shinee discography but it sounded pretty on brand for them to me and I loved it
Considering one of the people who helped create "Don't Call Me" also helped make "Kick It", I can see why people may think that but overall, SHINee's vocals are just too distinct. Also, the rap isn't as apparent like NCT
As I have said before in other posts have these same people nit heard Trigger or Alive👏 cause those are also in your face bops.

I think it is because of the pre chorus. Other than that, it still gives me SHINee vibe for sure.

Anyone saying this doesn't sound like SHINee clearly doesn't listen to SHINee's full discography. They are known for constantly switching it up and trying new things. Lucifer, Everybody, View, and Good Evening are all so different, yet still SHINee. That is what makes SHINee: making things their own!

I love love love this song and album. I'm a brand new fan and I'm blown away!!! This beat is so so good. The vocals are outstanding. They harmonize so well. It gave me goosebumps. The piano was a nice touch. I know people were complaining that it doesn't sound like a SHINee song but SHINee owned this song!!! Which further reinforces my belief that SHINee are so talented that it doesn't matter what the beat sounds like because they'll kill it every time. I hope y'all post a reaction to the whole album on here. It's seriously so good. I've had it on repeat all day. Thank you for your reaction!!! :)

Ace and Diddy, I love your shout outs about Minho's swagger and personal style in this video. I agree with you, Minho walked into that door looking all Fit and like a delicious RED, Tall Boss!! His intro and presence throughout this video, never missed a step. Minho looked sooooooo good. And, the choreography was snapping, I also enjoyed that little "Leg step" movements that the guy's did during that bridge part. I thought, that dance move was so smooth and tight as Hell. Their dancing is amazing. The vocals were strong too, love the chorus parts of the song. The visuals were beautiful in this as well, especially Minho's visual. He was on another level with his different outfits, and again, I truly love seeing grown adult men wearing suits. Minho looked gorgeous in his suit, surrounded by that vibrant Red background. Red truly fits Minho well, just a hint of naughtiness. Anyway, this song is a huge vibe, as well as the video. And, shout out to Diddy who mentioned about the "Black Widow" film. As a science fiction/comic book fan myself, I am also wondering when and where is the film going to come out. However, I am patient. LOL......😌 And, Ace, I like your facial expressions throughout this video, I can always tell when you are enjoying the song and video by just looking at your smiles and neck movements during a reaction. 😊 And, again, you guys reaction videos are so fun to watch and listen to. You really need to watch Alive performed live - Minho and Key goes for IT in that. SHINee actually does do hard-hitting - even Lucifer, no matter how many times you've listened to it, increases in intensity in their performances.

I know a lot of people are denying it dosent sound like NCT Kick it but the people/person who produced this song was the same one that’s produced kick it too, so to me it sorta makes sense why it sounds similar and I’m not mad 😂 it’s not a bad thing
And it sorta sounds like EXO Obsession, all three of these songs have the same producer tag. But again it’s not a bad thing, whoever they are produce some good songs that’s for sure
