Was really even through 6, if not Douglas slightly ahead. You saw Douglas got a little rocked in the 7th and after that he looked slower. By the end you could really see the difference in conditioning.

However, some refs would have let the fight continue and given Douglas another couple of seconds to return fire. However, Lane was not that kind of ref.
@@gwmba1989
Mills Lane was exactly that kinda ref & nobody who anybody respected ever accused him of stopping this fight early.
Mills Lane was a fighters ref, he gave em every opportunity before stepping in, he was always barking at em to fight outa a clinch or fight back when they were in trouble & he never lost control of a fight, except maybe when Tyson bit Holyfield, he shoulda DQd Tyson straight away. Mills Lane was one of the very best, ever.
these guys look quick, fast athletic. highly skilled and explosive. compared to the heavyweight garbage dump today. either of these guys would easily be champs today. this version of douglas would ko joshua and usyk.
Awesome fight the work rate of these two men alone would give today's champions, even Usyk trouble!
Why heavyweights don’t fight like this no more
What?
Geeze ... This video is badly spliced together, with the commentary repeatedly cut off and truncated - really annoying. Spoils the viewing experience. JT
Both of these guys are soo underrated...... Both men fought the best in the whole era . Tony Tucker when he fought Tyson even had a better record than Tyson . And when he fought Lennox Lewis he was 48-1 with most wins by KO . With his only loss being to Iron Mike Tyson whom he fought with a broken hand , and gave him a HELL of a battle even with a broken hand .... When he fought Lewis he was already older .
Douglas who has such an incredibly accurate jab . If he misses its mostly a hook , but the jab is on target solid ... I see both these men as the ALL-STARS from boxing of my generation if there were any .
Tony Tucker was tough as nails!
9:17 beautiful defense by Buster
Tyson is really the most time-wasting player ever. He defeated Tucker but lost to Douglas. How many fans can’t believe it
What a fighter he was , he deserved. A draw with Tyson . Such a skilled boxer and big puncher 🥊. So underrated .
Hell nah😂.
A draw? Fucking draw? Yer fucking joking mate
Some people actually thought he won that fight.
Tyson owned him completely.
@@latymz What COUNTS is your opinion. You only own a man you destroy. Tucker went the full 12 rounds and shook Tyson in 1st and final round... Just imagine, if Tucker did not broke his right hand before this fight actually took place. Tucker took this fight in desperation to pay off his debts to various managements his father got him to.

Before the Tyson fight, Tucker broke his right hand and with it, shook Tyson in the first and last round. Tucker went on a bout of drugs after the Tyson fight. Tucker was a very good heavyweight.
@@jediknight2350 Tucker and Douglas wasnt talented?
Anyone that has actully boxed could see they have talent.
They move so smoth for being heavyweights

If Douglas would of won this fight I wonder how history may have changed.
Remember this on TV, a Good Fight
Both fighters fought Tyson. Buster obviously "shook up the world" ,& Tucker gave Iron Mike all he could handle.
Two great fighters.
Tony tucker is a very talented boxer on that era purfect puncher he entertain to viewers

Was really even through 6, if not Douglas slightly ahead. You saw Douglas got a little rocked in the 7th and after that he looked slower. By the end you could really see the difference in conditioning.
Really good fight
Love TNT!!! An Amazing Boxer!!!!!
Looking at the crowd compared to the current fight game is fascinating.
How do you mean? Size of crowds, or what?

He was sharp in this fight aswell.

Sadly they ruined their careers.

Classico de luta tecna, dois gladiafores
Douglas was young and fit had a great jab and follwed with good rights. Tucker was just too good. Douglas was a proper waste. I dont know how he beat tyson.
He beat Tyson because he had a full training camp for the first time and was better on the night
He beat Tyson because Tyson didnt hardly train for the fight and didnt take Douglas serious at all. Meanwhile Douglas was motivated by the passing of his mother so he put every effort into beating Tyson. A Tyson who wouldve trained properly wouldve made very short work of Douglas.
@@freedomlovingamerican5496 always excuses with you tysontards it's pathetic you still think he was this invincible monster but in reality he was a good heavyweight in a bad era that lost as soon as someone fought back

Mike Tyson figured that he defeated Tony Tucker, who defeated James 'Buster' Douglas. Douglas would not be a problem for Tyson. Additional, I saw Don King from the side!
Casuals always bring up Tyson. It's all they know.
Tony Tucker :Superman !
How nice it is to see buster being used as a bobble head

Took prime Tyson all the way. Always like TT. Solid 80’s heavyweights. 🍀golden era
He was the only guy up until Douglas who went the distance with Tyson without just hanging on for their life.
These two alone would have murdered todays alleged champions,
tiresome feary 🙄
Nice fight , would've enjoyed more if commentary was left and not skipped for real
if buster had the desire to stay in shape and train he could been on top for a long time
Both men were great fighter's, back in those days boxer's had to be great otherwise they would never have been given a title shot.
Mike tyson said tucker give him 1 of the hardest fights,
He must have known Douglas was a great fighter before their fight i don't bleave tyson didn't take him seriously.
Most people thought tucker beat Tyson fought like 6 rounds with broken hand
Both of these fighters did well against Mike tyson tucker and buster .😊.
either one of those guys would be a champion today if they were active...
If Evander Holyfield stepped into the ring with either of these two fighters in 1987, Holyfield gets his clock cleaned.
