Since 1962, The Dubliners have been enthralling audiences worldwide with their music and song. The strength and attractiveness of The Dubliners has always been in the personalities of the musicians who have made up this boisterous band of balladeers, from original members, Ronnie Drew, Barney McKenna, Luke Kelly, Ciarán Bourke, John Sheahan and Bob Lynch to the arrival at different stages of Jim McCann, Seán Cannon, Eamonn Campbell and finally the peerless Paddy Reilly.
Produced By: David Donaghy
Sound Engineer: Brian Nartey

Hi my friend, I'm from Argentina. Out of curiosity, Is there anybody of the original members of the band alive now a days?
You know, our countries, I mean, Argentina and Ireland have been very close peoples for many reasons, but bands like the Dubliners make me love your land even more.
Greetings from Quilmes Buenos Aires.
@@ivanmontes9645 i believe John Sheahan is still alive, although quite old
@@coldunquietgrave Many thanks.
@@coldunquietgrave John was not a founding member, he joined two years later
Remind me to put this in my playlist of songs I want to hear at my deathbed ?
Don't forget to put that in your playlist of songs you want to hear at your deathbed.

Luke actually phrased the third verse wrongly. But the fact every cover has done the same just proves that Luke is the gold standard,
This is the greatest version.....better than Luke....the music arrangement was impeccable.
I know it’s heresy but I prefer this version to the Luke Kelly version. Both brilliant but I just think this one is more beautiful.
