One extra tip for walking an imbrocata into your opponent - be wary of doing it when you get a bind near the tip of their sword on your strong, it makes it very easy for them to disengage, and you get a lot of doubles that way. Their middle on your strong is a better starting position for the final thrust. Oh, and the cut from above dropping to the legs is lethally effective in shield and sword as a surprise. Nobody expects you to hit their legs with a cut from above their head, and shields being heavy means your opponent is much more likely to react with shield movement to your telegraph. Bonus points if they just barely block it and you follow up with what is effectively a I.33 nucken to the face straight from landing the cut. This is very much introducing frog DNA into your Bolognese, but much like in velociraptors, it makes the results more lethal.
Some of the action shots/demonstrations I have to watch like three times to see how it works, flip it for left hand, and then flipping the opponent back to right. Great video as always!
Great stuff as always! I've started going through some of these on my own and just envisioning them but having you and Stefan bringing the actions to life is very helpful.
Martin can you point out the source for these provocations? Specifically, the one at 5 minutes where you say he only has the good option of doing dall'aggochies hanging di testa? Seems like a standard mezzo roverso to the di testa described in the other sources would be just fine as a defense.
And the one you are asking at 5min is just: "You can also pretend to give him a dritto tramazzone to the head, and as he raises his sword in order to defend it, you’ll turn a riverso tondo to his thigh." The rest is interpretation, but I think it's quite obvious that the opponent needs to make a defensive motion with the feint to enable us to strike to the leg. Another possibility is of course feinting to strike on the inside and the opponent goes for a point up parry via a mandritto.
@Schildwache Potsdam lol I was going to make a joke about screw all this and just di faccia and then I looked at Manciolino's counter to this and that's what it says! Anyway, I enjoyed the video as always.

Thank you! I think having multiple reference points is a great way to form one's own interpretation :)

Sure, it's in dall'Agocchie 25v onward (provocations in porta di ferro stretta)
