So far the theory that actually seems most likely to me is that after Ozzie's, learning that Blitzo used to date Verosika added to Stolas's insecurity in their relationship so he looked up anything relating to succubi to try and figure out if Blitzo was using her for something the way he's using Stolas for the Grimoire... And low and behold, the Asmodean Crystal, a ticket to the human realm commonly used by succubi. Whether or not Blitzo really was using Verosika for it, that's likely the conclusion Stolas is gonna reach with the information available to him. Which will cause him to distance himself from Blitzo even more.
in stolas's song in S02xE01, in the bit where he's reading the grimoire, you can see that he's looking at an asmodeon (spelling?) crystal. a fan on twitter translated the page and it's a crystal mainly given out to succubi and inccubi so they can go up to earth. this means that 1. blitz was likely using verosika to get a hold of her crystal and 2. stolas wants to give blitz a crystal so he can access the living world without having to arrange their monthly meetings, probably because stolas thinks blitz doesnt reciprocate his feelings

This video perfectly demonstrates why Helluva Boss is the fandom that causes me the least amount of internal exhaustion to engage with, no matter how much I love the others. Every controversy is ultimately small and there’s so many good vibes it all balances out.
I've actually read two other theories that I really enjoyed: 1. It's not actually a test, he's just cutting the relationship. All the pictures and memories Stolas has of Blitzo, he looks annoyed and upset (like the one on his phone). He doesn't know Blitzo likes him back, so the entire relationship seems toxic. 2. He realized he's being used. Sure, we know Blitzo likes him back, but like in the first theory, Stolas thinks he never did. And who was one of Blitzo's exes? Verosika. He was probably trying to use her Asmodean crystal, just like Stolas' book. While a lot more heart-wrenching, I think the 2nd theory has a bit more physical evidence with how upset Stolas looked as he threw the book. But, these are always just theories and we won't know until at least next episode, if that.
We're more chill because the problematic stuff is already apart of the story. They're in hell, so a lot of the bad is explained by that and it's a comedy first, or it was. Most of us are adults skipping some of the teen issues and shipping and nsfw is expected and not as much of a problem because the whole main cast (except Octavia) Are adults

You don’t have to say headcanon when stella is going to become more fleshed out anyway lmao. Georgie (her VA) said that there’s more to stella and that “hurt people hurt people” which indicates something. Stella isn’t just one-note, we’re only one episode in and we’ll see that come into fruition later. It won’t justify her actions but WE ARE getting a stella backstory

I personally headcanon that she didn't want to be in an arranged marriage as much as stolas didnt, and poured all her anger for it towards stolas, which explains why she's so cruel to him. Maybe she loved someone else, or just simply didn't want to be forced into marriage (understandable), and either looked for someone to blame, or just assumed that stolas IS to blame for the arrangement. And seeing as there was no way to escape the marriage, decides to make stolas' life a living hell for that very reason. If she can't escape it, might as well make her enemies suffer for it.

Yeah, a lot of r/HelluvaBoss threads and comments had to be nuked by the mods due to Stolas fans/Stolitz shippers attacking the Stella fans after S2 Ep. 1. Some fandom spaces have gotten to be pretty toxic due to the constant shipping and flame wars.

episode 8 wasnt meant to be season 1 finale, its was more of a celebration of how far the shows come. unfortunately it got caught up in legal issues we are as of yet unsure of and had to be delayed

Because I really don’t want Stella to just be a one dimensional antagonist, I hc that she acted like a terror to try and avoid anyone wanting her for an arranged marriage, and continued the act to try and get out of it until it just became who she is because she stopped being anything else. She might have been more allowing or something because of her brother (idk Stella’s lore well) and wanting him to be happy with her but she still wasn’t ready for marriage
I think they should develop her in a way where she is still a bitch but the bitchin' makes sense, ya know???
You don’t have to say headcanon when stella is going to become more fleshed out anyway lmao. Georgie (her VA) said that there’s more to stella and that “hurt people hurt people” which indicates something. Stella isn’t just one-note, we’re only one episode in and we’ll see that come into fruition later. It won’t justify her actions but WE ARE getting a stella backstory

I personally headcanon that she didn't want to be in an arranged marriage as much as stolas didnt, and poured all her anger for it towards stolas, which explains why she's so cruel to him. Maybe she loved someone else, or just simply didn't want to be forced into marriage (understandable), and either looked for someone to blame, or just assumed that stolas IS to blame for the arrangement. And seeing as there was no way to escape the marriage, decides to make stolas' life a living hell for that very reason. If she can't escape it, might as well make her enemies suffer for it.

I'm in the tired camp. The change from ultraviolent sexy comedy to dramatic love story was so sudden I couldn't get into it. The latter may become the show's norm for the rest of its run, but I don't see myself shaking the feeling of "wait, I'm supposed to care about these two now?"

My theory on Fizzarolli's arms: the imps are the lowest of society in hell, and fizzarolli knew he wouldn't get anywhere if people knew he was an imp. So he cut off his arms and legs and became a cyborg, and covered his horns, so that the type of demon he was would become ambigious.
ALSO you know how male imps have black and white horns, while females have black ones? In the background of the circus (latest ep) you can see a canonly trans character on a tightrope, appearing female yet having black and white horns :))))
