Well, I've watched several videos on how to 'easily' install a steering wheel cover, and it comes down to this: Let a strong guy do it for you because it's really hard to do.
My god thank you so much for the tip of using warm water to loosen a rubber and plastic cover. I struggled so badly with this. I hope more people are fortunate to hear these good tips to have the nonsense experience I had. God bless you for your straight forward video and excellent wisdom. I appreciate you very much for taking time out of your life to share with the community. Please don't ever stop bc you elevated my life and that's what counts in life. Thank you again!!!
Yesterday bought a cover and tried couple of times and I was like is it the right size even and watched your video and did just like you. Took me 2-3 minutes 😊 thanks
I used a couple of long pry bars and my feet up on the windshield for leverage. I think it went really well except that now the cover is on but the steering wheel is bent, and I have to replace my cracked windshield.
I've bought two of these and threw them away because they were impossible to fit. and yes I did measure the wheel and got 15 inches-the dimension printed on the cover package. 2010 Malibu
What made it easy for me was I placed the steering wheel cover behind the steering wheel then worked made it halfway and then started working my way from the right bottom to the left bottom. Doing it from the front was a pain, pulling from the back was easier for me.

I just bought a fabric-based cover that does match the correct measurement of the steering wheel, but it’s hard on the inside. The end of this video does say to soften it up by putting it in water but what about the fabric? Won’t that make it moldy? I can’t possibly air it out once it’s on the steering wheel.
Hi and so sorry for the very late reply! From personal experience, if the wheel cover is made of a more sponge-like material or of a soft, leather like fabric then best don't soak it in water. But if it's more plastic, vinyl like, then soak it, I do it that way every time and it dries out quickly and completely. Of course it's better to do this on a sunny, warmer day as it will dry out more quickly. Hope this helps

Another helpful tip I just learned is zip tie it as you go so you don't lose any progress if it loses grip as well as hairdryer

🙂that's a good option also, most wheel covers are pretty tight but they have to be that way to avoid slipping.
🤣🤣 The hot water tip helped. But that was a 10 minute wrestling match.
