My wife is exactly in this situation with a pending I-130 while wanting to pursue her PhD in the US under a student visa but we are unsure if it will negatively affect one or the other. Do you have any recent experience on this topic?
Im a non- US citizen in 12th grade applying for an undergraduate degree in the US. I will be applying for an F-1 Student visa. However, I will also have a pending immigration visa. Realistically, will I be able to convince the embassy and the airport officer to accept? And if so, how can I convince them? (I have the funds to pay for everything I need)

I had Green Card and surrendered and I got my Visitor visa; when I was young. Then I applied for I-130 through my blood sibling who is a US citizen. Then I applied for my visitor visa after 2 years of my I-130 and I got my B1 (Visitor Visa). Now I have an admission offer from one of the top universities in the USA. The question is can I apply for F1, while having a valid B1 visa and pending I-130. HELP!

Hey, I have applied for B2 visa with my parents as dependents long back and have visa interview scheduled next month. But now, I want to have an F1 visa as my master’s program is starting in September. I am not able to file another application(F1 visa) on the same passport. What should I do? What the service desk has said is that you either wait for the present interview and then proceed with another application, or cancel the present application and then proceed with f1.

What if my uncle filed the petition for my parents for a f4 and I was a minor derivative during the petition circa 2018. Now in 2024 I have gotten fully funded + stipend for masters in a STEM program. Is my visa directly going to get rejected under 214b?
