@HirokoHikari He must have been in one of the first conscripts to have been in the HMKG because it was founded in the late 1800's. I'm going in this October, and looking forward to it : )
@PhilipDK5800 It's interesting too, to see how their drill movements are quite similar to those practiced by British, Canadian, Australian, and other Commonwealth soldiers when they're on parade.
the bells in the background at 3:20 gave me a flashback to when i was doing this stuff. And these guys here are not the "professional" drill(?) guys that the Royal Guard got. There's one company(or platoon maybe, not sure about english terms) that is dedicated to doing only stuff like this and they are just amazing at it.

The little 'shuffle' was not so successful the second time as the spaces were not equal. The UK Guard on the Palace would get his balls cut off for not tell the soldiers to equalise the distance! These were pretty good though.
@elisabethkohler33 Simply because the term "Nazi" originated in germany and the germans were the first Nazis. Not saying that all germans as a people are Nazis of course, if that was what you were thinking. No pun intended
@hirdas Should an ant choose a wasp to guard the Queen? Shall a cat protect a parakeet? The Norwegian King should be guarded by Norwegians and Norwegians alone.
Yeah, and maybe the fox that moves into the henhouse is really a hen, because we all know, moving yourself geographically totally rearranges your genes.

dont you think they have researched every little detail on everybody? They dont just put anybody to protect The King. Besides, if he is from another country, he would not serve in the Norwegian army. BECAUSE, the army does research. If you have relatives travelling to our "enemies", youre not accepted

@Narre5 But in Sweden, the guards have been training years. The Norwegian guards are only in the army for one year. Think about that.
