Every single step you make is perfectly correct and this you showed in previous and further videos is a proper rule of art. Greetings from a your colleague.

It happened to me a couple of times while rebuilding vespas and Gilera, open circuits happened somewhere into the wiring (we call it spider :) ). This because spider requires extra care when one handles and stockes it. Love the way you work.

Thoroughly enjoyed all of these resurrection videos. I have a 2012 GTV-300. I thought all along that the transmission rattle I hear upon moving from stop was the rollers, but now, after watching, I think it may be the guides in the clutch housing. Thanks for sharing these valuable videos.

Thank u for fine comment. Will your scooter perform well on the freeway? Will it go 65 uphill or into the wind? I have a Buddy 125 for around town. I also have a Suzuki Van Van 200. It will barely go 60 65 on the freeway. In a headwind it won’t. I stay with the trucks for safety. Thank u again Jim!!

@@billrimmer5596 My GTV-300 will do all of the above but I typically use my Vespa for shorter errand runs. I have a 117 CI Harley-Davidson for more serious riding.

I don't really recommend cleaning the rear driven assembly with brake parts cleaner. It tends to wash out the grease. And while you can put new grease in those exposed needle bearings, there is also grease inside the assembly, where those two pins go into the 2 angled slots. If you wash out that grease with spray brake parts cleaner, there is no way to put it back without completely disassembling the entire unit. That is not an easy job. You have to remove that huge 46mm nut, and the entire assembly is under very strong spring pressure. If you don't do it just right, it is possible to damage the unit while trying to reassemble it. I have seen those final drive units with the two angled slots chewed up after someone had it apart and damaged it trying to reassemble it. I just go over it with a dry paint brush and use compressed air to blow off the dust.

Nice series. What about those silence-blocks? Video of battling those would be great.

This has been a great series! The added complication of liquid cooling is a turn off for me. I know they achieve better performance. The air cooled, fuel injected 150 seems to b the most and best for a practical compromise. The beauty of the scooter u r working on, is it would b a great commuter if u need to go on the freeway. My Buddy is still rolling every day. Chattering clutch engagement though.😩😩

Hello Sir. Is it allowed to be a little play at the rear crank in the cvt ? Because in other scooters there aren't any play, maximum 1 mm is allowed. But in the vespa's scooters there are quite more.
    Thanks in advance the answer

Hi Robot, my variator boss cylinder is stuck on the shaft. I tried wd40 and hitting it with rubber mallet hammer but still can't get it unstuck. Any idea how to remove it? Thkq kindly.
