This feels very unnecessary. Disney needs to leave these films alone. But, of course, since they're already a greedy (ridiculously rich) corporation they'll do whatever it takes to make a quick buck. Because nothing is ever enough for them.
I won't say that for all Disney remakes. Aladdin and beauty and the beast are two good examples that when they remade the movies they made it better because they dove in deeper to the movie and revealed more about the characters. Than their are movies like the lion king remake and Mulan that failed at it and yes I think they made the movies for a quick buck. Hopefully this movie and little mermaid do better than the original
Then again they know kids will love it. They been doing live action movies since the 90s even before then. Idk why this seems new to everyone
Honestly, my only worry is they make changes that undermind the story as a whole.
1. Lilo and Nani must remain sisters with dead parents.
2. There are no evil villains just different goals. Like I don't want stitch to be hunted to be used as a weapon. Or make the social worker just mean and hateful. As all characters in the 2002 movie were at least like able.
3. Keep the feel of Hawaii as it made it a unique setting we often don't see.
4. A thing I would like changed or expanded upon is David's role ie have him be Nani boyfriend or fiance from the start.
If Disney wants to do a great remake of Lilo & Stitch, they need to look at the inspiration of The Jungle Book that manages to stand on its own. Lilo and Stitch can stands on its own by bringing in a Hawaiian cast that fits the characters, make Hawaii as beautiful as what we saw in the animated film, and focus on homaging what audiences loved about the original while doing something new at the same time. So far, the director of the upcoming remake has already been discussing with the original director to figure out how to make this remake good as the director is a huge fan of the animated film and doesn’t wanna mess it up at all.

That would be kindve funny if the rock played a smaller side character in a movie as opposed to the main role he usually has

@Triangle_Pants Micheal Clarke Duncan would have been perfect if he was still alive. He had a deep voice and he was a very large intimidating person so he would've nailed it.
Terry crews would have been perfect as bubbles
They should make stitch the look more unique and monster like.
And not a typical uncanny Pokemon/Sonic freakshow.
To be fair, they can't just make the exact same movie as the original, as if they do they'll be called out on it and the movie won't get good ratings.
The changes they're making don't seem egregious and can put a fresher spin on the original movie without losing the fundamentals that worked and made the original so great.
That’s not true the live action lion king was almost a mirror of a movie and the lion king was one of the best Disney movies ever made I believe the live action movie was well received by audiences.

I love Disney live action movies and lilo and stitch being one of my favorite movies I can’t wait
The problem is they don’t stay with the the plot they always gonna change it. Look at lion king a little tweaks, but still stayed with the plot and made a good movie not as good as that animation, but still something you can look towards if you don’t have the animation version.
I like it when the plot makes a turn casting a light color girl to play the part and woke go's nuts but it's OK for little mermaid being black.

1st, I'm a huge lilo and Stitch fan, but in my opinion, they should leave old classic disney films alone bc I feel like they are really big and all, but it might ruin them. this is only my opinion!
If I had any faith in Disney's live-action remakes, whatsoever, I'd be infuriated!

stitch can not be done right in 3d he is a squishy and jumpy 3d animation doesnt capture that well. WE NEED OUT BUBLES BACK. Anywho do all things for the Glory of God! You put Him first and all things will come together. God is unchanging and perfect. The animation world is not.
