Honestly a lot of these make my top favorites (thanks to being a 90s kid) & I’ve actually Rob Paulsen and he is such a talent but also a real sweetheart to his fans

Great list but Trara Strong is amazing. Puts a lot of emotion into her charcters. Going from happy and crazy (Bubbles) to emotionless (Raven)
Dee Bradley Baker delivered every time he voiced an animal! I’d have no idea it was him until I see the end-credits. Same goes with Frank Welker.
Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton stole every single one of their scenes as Yzma and Kronk. They had brilliant chemistry and played off of each other memorably! 😍👏🏾

Since most animation is for TV, it would be the Emmy, not the Oscar. And there are multiple voice performer categories in the Emmys.
"The Annie Awards" celebrates achievements in animation, and "Outstanding Voice Acting" is a category.

As a singer, I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Eartha Kitt and that clip. The way the voice was as theatrical with Yzma as it was when she performed, and seeing her act Yzma while she did recordings. Just pure GOLD. I am SO in awe of this talent, and may she rest in peace. ❤️

Why wasn't Mel Blanc in this list? He was over the top in some of his works, especially in his Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck works.

I gotta say Eartha Kitt in The Emperor's New Groove was outstanding. To this day, I still find the delivery of the line, "I'LL SMASH HIM WITH A HAMMER!" absolutely hilarious! 🤣🤣
My favorite line was ;Why do we even have that lever' when she come back with a crocodile biting her.

Eartha was the definition of a performer. There was nothing she couldn't do and she made Yzma easily my favorite villain. She was everything. EVERYTHING!
Eartha Kitt was absolutely amazing in everything she did. Anyone who can say they've been a voice actor in a Disney movie, a famous singer/songwriter, played Catwoman and was in an Ernest P Warrel movie is beyond bad ass in my book! 😊 and she was stunningly beautiful ❤️ RIP my lady!
HOW IN THE WORLD IS TARA STRONG NOT ON THIS LIST?! She has literally voiced AND created some of the most iconic characters of the last 20+ years!

@@rkms5606 Christine Cavanaugh and Cree Summer, too. Christine's Dexter was always so dramatic (his singing too!) and Cree voiced Elmyra Duff. Cree also had a killer evil laugh as Miranda of As Told by Ginger.
Although she's an icon and a legend and extremely talented and close to my heart you're missing the point. She's not over-the-top like these other voice actors are. I think people are forgetting the definition
It is so sad that most voice actors go largely unnoticed. They are vastly underrated and underappreciated. They are truly the unsung heroes of the acting industry.
Definitely not true. They are not unnoticed. It is all on their bios and and at award shows, they even say welcome the voice actor of (whomever). I wouldn't say they are heroes, they are just doing their job.
I definitely think they tend to be more human/less douche baggy than most other actors.
Its also sad that more than half this list are just actors and not really voice actors. Tom Kenny, Mark Hamill, Rob Paulen, these are real voice actors. Not just actors who usrc the same voice over and over
The Emperor's New Groove is by far and away one of Disney's BEST movies, and much of that is thanks to Kitt's performance. Aladdin's entire vocal cast is pitch perfect. And Roger from Family Guy is iconic.

They should've included Mel Blanc on this list! For DECADES he did EVERY single voice in the Loony Toons cartoons! That is why they called him "The Man of a Thousand Voices!"

Looney Toons and Merry Melodies played in movie theaters between/before movies for over 2 decades. And before TV was even a viable form of entertainment.
Mel Blanc kind of invented voice acting.
Without Mel Bland this list is invalid.
listening to Eartha kit was one thing... watching her act was just so insanely fun.
How is Hank Azaria not on this list? Seriously. The Simpsons wouldn't EXIST without his talent.

I think that Patrick Warburton is one of the top 10 voice actors who nailed the voice of Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove quite well. Did you know that he hosts Soarin' Around the World at Disney California Adventure?
Of course he does Joe from Family guy as well!
He also voices Captain Flynn in the Skylanders series. I thought his voice sounded familiar.

Tbh Yzma and Kronk are really amazing. The whole Emperor's New Groove is a great movie. It's fantastical but at the same time, it all feels believable somehow as real places and real characters. Maybe because when I first watched it, that was the first Disney movie to have a villainous main character and a lovable villain?
And oh, the clips of Eartha Kitt recording Yzma absolutely warms my heart! She looked like she's having a ball.

I know not as many people watching these are familiar with Veggie Tales, but the creators did so many different great voices on their own, they definitely deserve to be on this list!

Someone I’d add to the list is Phil Harris who played Baloo in the jungle book, Thomas O’Malley in aristocats, and little John in Robin Hood. Such a great iconic Disney voice

Robin Williams was the merchant at the beginning of Aladdin as well. They gave him a box of random stuff, and let him improvise, and then animated the merchant to his improvisation.

I always loved “The Emperors New Grove.” When I was kid, I remember it so vividly being advertised on the TV. I was living in Florida Fort Lauderdale at the time and thinking to myself that the main character correlates to me on a spiritual level.
I wish Disney didn’t drop this franchise. It has immaculate potential and the voice actors are some of the most memorable of all.

There's plenty of women and men missing from the list. Jim Cummings shouldn't have been an honorable mention. I'm shocked that Tara Strong or Jennifer Hale weren't here.
I'm surprised no one ever mentions Tony Jay. This guy played voice of the Elder God in Legacy of Kain. The sardonic narrator in the bard's tale game. However the role most people remember would be Judge Jean Claude Frollo . The main villain from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Truly amazing what these voice actors/ actresses can do
The original voice of Winnie the Pooh and the Cheshire Cat was Sterling Holloway, who also voiced Kaa the snake, the stork in Dumbo, and many other Disney characters. Jim Cummings must be mimicking Sterling's voice, which is the sign of a good voice actor. Also, the original voice of Tigger was Paul Winchell.
Jim Cummings also replaced Jeremy Irons in the last stretch of "Be Prepared" in The Lion King after the latter got laryngitis from screaming the line "You won't get a sniff without me!" He had to match Irons' voice while singing.
Seth MacFarlane is literally the reincarnation of Frank Sinatra. Such a beautiful singing voice

Many people are mentioning great voice actors here and they are.. but this is over the top performances. And it's a great list!!
Alan Tudyk deserves an honorable mention. King Candy is wonderfully over the top and his other roles, including the Joker, are so good.
He was especially good as Hei Hei.

@@Hermititis idk what the first one is but Numbah 5 was always the most level headed of the group to me. It’s one thing to play a child, it’s another to play an overly obnoxious one.
@@Miyanoai14 , Drawn Together was an animated "reality show" about characters from different genres having to live in a house together. Cree's character was named Foxxy Love, she looked like she was from the old Hanna-Barbera "Josie and the Pussycats", and whike she could be calm, she had a LOT of over the top moments.
LOVED Eartha Kitt in Emperors New Groove!!! Seth Meyers and Eartha were just wonderful together!! As was John Goodman!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️‼️

I can't believe that Regina King was not mentioned for her excellent work voicing Huey & Riley on the Boondocks. Also Cree Summer has done quite a few character voice work, Penny on Inspector Gadget

Good list, and finally some appreciation for Frank Welker! We definitely need a part two for this. Tim Curry deserves a spot for a multitude of his roles, and I think Nick Cage deserves at least an honorable mention for his voice work as well, especially in the Croods
John DiMaggio and Mel Blanc both deserved to be honourable mentions mentions, especially Blanc as he's the OG celebrity voice actor and man of a 1000 voices.

Dee Bradley Baker is remarkable! He did the impossible task of giving the same clone voices with different personalities in the Star Wars animated franchise (Clone Wars, Bad Batch, and Rebels). There’s so many jokes about him talking to himself in a room cause he voiced all the characters in some episodes 😂. He is amazing doing animal sounds too, like Perry the Platypus, Appa from Avatar, the Frog Lady in the Mandalorian, and Bessie the Snail from Amphibia.
He's also Bubble Bass and Perch Perkins on SpongeBob, and he's been The Lizard in different Spider-Man media over the years. But the craziest part is how great he was as Ra's al Ghul in the Arkham games. I never would thought it was him.

As much of a fan of Robin Williams as the Genie as I am, he just doesn’t top Mel Blanc, who voiced a whole bunch of Looney Tunes characters plus Cosmo Spacely from The Jetsons and Barney Rubble from The Flintstones. Now both of these actors have passed away and both are dearly missed
Even though he voiced almost every Looney Tunes character, the one I always think of first is Dan Backslide - coward, bully, cad, and thief, and archenemy of the Dover Boys.
"Confound those Dover Boys! Ooh, how I hate them! I hate Tom! I hate Dick! And I hate Larry! THEY DRIVE ME TO DRINK!"
His role in the Jetson's movie was his last voice role as he passed just after recording his lines as well as the man that voiced George Jetson died as well during the making of that movie as you can tell in a few scenes that the voice for George was very different.
Billy West who did Ren and Stimpy should really be on the list. If you want over the top, he wrote the book.

And also Philip J. Fry, his descendant Dr. Hubert Farnsworth, Dr. John Zoidberg, and Captain Zapp Branigan in Futurama, as well as Bugs Bunny in the original Space Jam and the title character of Doug Funnie.

Actors like these are exactly why I want to be a voice actor. I really want to be able to come out of my shell and not be afraid to go above and beyond with voices

Robin Williams was amazing in voice characters. I remember hearing in an Actors Studio that Robin did about 37, or so, voices for the genie in Aladdin which wild.
He had way more than that. He had over close to 100. But still no one can even come close to him. He was a genius when it comes to voice acting.

They let him run wild in Good Morning, Vietnam, and the other actors on set were genuinely laughing at his improvised antics.

Emperor New Groove's Brazilian voice actors are awesome too. The local jokes and expressions are just perfect making the film one of the most loved in country

Earths Kitt’s “Performance” in he sound booth is Impressive, sometimes it takes movement & improvisation such as what Gilbert Godfried was able to do with his own voicing of “iago”

Nailed it with #1 and Genie is my favorite of his animated roles. I miss Robin Williams a lot but I still remember his movies like Flubber, Hook, The Birdcage and Mrs. Doubtfire. I will definitely recommend Hook for an adventure and Mrs. Doubtfire for family comedy.

I particularly liked the episode _The Fog,_ where both guys were doing their Orson Welles impersonations at each other.

As much as I love Robin Williams, Mel Blanc should’ve been number 1 in my opinion. The dude has been nicknamed the man of 1000 voices and he’s voiced most of the Looney Tunes characters!

Of course these voice acting performances were over the top, because these are some of the most dedicated voice actors that ever lived. once they got into a role they stuck to it like glue and put their whole heart into bringing the character's voice to life!
Ayyy, Rob Paulsen’s in here, I met him, my stepdad knew I was a fan, so, he got Rob to talk to me on Skype and wish me a Happy Birthday years ago, he even sang me “Yakko’s World” since it was my favorite, I got to meet him in person a few years later when I went to see Animaniacs Live, he bought us the tickets😊

Oh ye of limited memory. You left out the most iconic voice of them all. Mel Blanc was known as the man of 1000 voices. Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the cat, Tweetie Bird, Yosemite Sam and the list goes on forever.
I don't care what decade we're in - you CANNOT neglect Mel Blanc! Not when RUclips has videos exclusively dedicated to Mel Blanc screaming.
My favorite Frank Welker character is Bobby Drake/Iceman from Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. I think this character is close to his regular voice.

I was surprised that John Ratzenberger didn’t get an honorable mention for the many characters he’s voiced over the years. Other than that, very good list with Earth Kitt, Gilbert Gottfried, Jim Cummings, and Robin Williams.
I agree with this list and add in: Patrick Warburton to list. I also am a fan of Clancy Brown. I wish we could somehow add Jim Carrey to the list because of his over the top acting period, but he’s a live action actor. He’s the reason I saw the first Sonic movie.

Gollum is iconic, but he also did an amazing voice for Caesar in Planet of the Apes and Snoke in star wars :)
My favorite Rob Paulson role was the Box Ghost from Danny Phantom. Also Robin Williams was Fender from “Robots”
Gilbert's voice was such a iconic voice to hear I'm going to miss that man R.I.P and that goes double for Robin Williams. I always forget that Mark hamill voices the joker
