Fishing for a New Species on the Indian River - 4K

- I went fishing for a new species of fish on the Indian River in Florida with Capt. Chris Loeb. We started the day off fishing for speckled trout. While we were trout fishing, I caught a surprise redfish. After catching several dozen speckled trout, Chris and I decided it was time to target some sheepshead (I've never targeted this species of fish before). I broke my personal best and caught more sheepshead in one day than all the other days of my life combined.

It's pretty cool that someone who regularly catches fish that weight hundreds of pounds can still get so excited over a 2-4 pound fish.
Zac St John jj
dude your camera is awesome, you can tell you put your best in your videos, great job 4K greatness
I love the intro hand motions from Josh. Gets me every time.
8:35 every yearbook pic ever...
Really enjoyed the prisonfish video. Great! Checked out your nice website. Thanks so much guys. Jerry, disabled Vietnam vet.
Those sheepshead are tons of fun! Went after those on one of my first saltwater guided trips, and it was so much fun! Great video! Keep it up!
I'm an old guy who used to fish the piers at Galveston, Corpus Christi, and all the bridges in between. Also Crystal Beach, jack-up rigs and other structure. Sheep's head in the early 80's were often bigger than the ones you were on, but wow, those are respectable. Biggest trout I ever caught was on the diversionary canal in Hichcock. 21 inches and fat. Both are great eating. Bon appetite! Drum are my favorite though.
Hey Josh, I really enjoyed your rigging part in the video. Its nice to see how you are catching all of these fish.
Great show. Indian River has great fishing. We caught 3 species of snook during a filming of Adventures In Fishing there a few years back.

love the inshore stuff.
Judging from growing specks in an aquaculture tank I’d say that the one you were asking about was 6-9 months old
Good to know. Thanks for the info.
AMAZING 😉
Starting to regret getting the black out version for my Costas
My brother caught the South Carolina state record for sheepshead at 17.1 pounds but sadly it didnt count because it was caught in a cast net while casting for bait
I caught a 7 pound sheepshead on a gulp were there are piggy perch every were
Can you please do more snapper fishing
Does anyone know where they were fishing?
Josh I love your videos but for 1 those were not big sheeps head also if you did hook a big one you would have gotten broke off very fast with that light tackle. In the winter I will catch 8-12 lbrs about every time I try in my canal they are very abundant.
