I went from no rope to the Crossrope and I couldn't be happier. It only took a couple sessions to get comfortable with it, and now I actually look forward to workouts like I never have before. No need for big expensive treadmills or ellipticals. I get intense, challenging, and FUN workouts any time or place I want. I honestly love it, highly recommended!
Air jumps are better than no jumps. I transitioned from a low cost rope to the lean set, and eventually to the heavy set. There’s a huge difference as you move up in weight. Now that I have multiple sets it’s really cool creating my own little HIIT routines or just jump using a heavier rope each day…do the thing, you got this!!!
Just recently got my Crossrope (1/4 & 1/2 ropes) and I love it. You can feel the quality in the rope and it definitely has more weight. Still have my cheaper rope tho and use it from time to time
Got into crossropes because of the JRDs and I have to say best investment in health and fitness I've ever made. I have the very first gen and the newer 2020 ropes and handles and I use them several times a week and no signs of breaking anytime soon. I always jump with a mat tho.
I'm pretty new to jumping rope and I bought the Crossrope 'Get Lean' set because I figured if I spent that much money on ropes, I would definitely use them on a regular basis. And, with the 'safety net' of knowing that, if I didn't use them regularly, I could send them back within 60-days for a full refund. I am currently going through the JRDTV 90-Day Challenge and I am loving every minute. The ropes are superb and, when everything is taken into consideration, I consider it to be money well spent. Once I complete the 90-Day Challenge, I'll be buying the 'Get Strong' set. While this is irrelevant to this discussion, I'm 68 years old and I just love jumping rope, almost to the point of an obsession!
So as not to give a false impression of my fitness levels, I should say that, going through JRD90, I'm not moving to the next day, until I can complete the day precisely as Dan or Brandon has demonstrated; ie no pauses (other than for trips). So far, I repeated Day 2 twice and Day 3 four times, before moving on. I've just finished Day 5 for the first time and I imagine they'll be a few repeats on this day, also. So, JRD90 may well turn out to be JRD270, in my case. 😉But I'll get there!! 😃
I agree with getting a cheap rope at first when you are starting out. I started with a $10 rope and realised I love doing tricks with my rope so I’m saving up to get a pair of crossropes! Good review video btw!
I brought 2 jump ropes from amazon during covid a speed rope for 30 dollars which got annoying to use after a while and the 10 dollar ropes that got tangled up and I got a crossrope for my birthday and I have been using it after that day and its one of the best things I have ever used and made me enjoy jump roping and working out so much more
That $11 jump rope looks exactly like mine which I bought for only $1. I used it for about a year before one of the handles broke. Pretty good, light rope.
What appeals to me about jumping rope, more than say, jogging or other workout - You feel like you're mastering a skill. Anyone can jog (yeah there are excellent methods to conserve energy, etc) but jumping rope you get 'good' at it and can throw in tricks and it's impressive.
I have the get strong set. I got it about 9 months into jumping rope. I've commented before. I was a nanny and my boss had me make the kid jump rope 15 minutes a day. He hated it and I was trying to lose weight. So, I ordered a rope on Amazon and taught myself how to jump rope so I could jump with him. We lived in NYC. They've moved to Hungary and I've moved to Idaho. I still jump rope and I don't nanny now. I'm working on a boat.

I've been following you guys forever..but i feel like you're kind of stuck.. viewing are going down and videos are pretty similar to each other..hope you can find the magic touch again! Love you guys
I am 100% sure that ball bearings do literally do nothing for your workout or the quality of your jump technique. They are just a gimmick to make more profit on each sale talking people with no clue into spending additional money. Unless you want to go for speed and speed alone, there is no reason for them whatsoever. Beaded ropes for freestyle and versatile jumping, heavy steel ropes for more upper body involvement and other than that you can just grab any rope and start skipping.
Tbh the cross ropes is my favorite. I've been jumping rope on and off for about 6 years now and have used/snapped many ropes. I have all four of the cross ropes now been using them for 2 weeks by far the best and definitely worth every penny tbrh.
My American brain was thinking about a jump rope weighing 7 pounds lol! You're talking about the price! It's up to you, you don't need to get a crossrope, if you like your rope then do the thing!
What a useless video. Literally covering the extreme outliers at both ends and completely ignoring the middle ground where sanity lives. $5 junk vs $120 cashgrab smh, only on social media is this nonsense valid, and only for clicks and revenue generation. We are so doomed by this influencer and online community paradigm it isn't even funny anymore.
You get what you pay for. I have purchased $20 ropes both from Adidas and Nike. They are a nuisance because I had to constantly adjust them to my height and they would always tangle whenever I tried tricks. These cross rope are top notch and damn well worth every penny. No tangles mess and never have to adjust. The detachable handles are the cherry on the cake for that next level of workout. But hey, keep doing what's best for you.
Rush Athletics money rope is pretty great, it’s slightly overpriced at like $13-20 USD for a quality licorice speed rope or whatever but it’s very good and you support the best jump rope tutorials channel on RUclips
Well it’s no excuse for a lot of things to be a certain price. But sometimes you get what you pay for , and if you use it daily it is worth the money. I run too and have run in cheaper running shoes. But I notice a difference in more expensive shoes too.
If it's not for you, that's cool. Ceramic bearings and proprietary cable coatings cost money, but also increase the experience. Are we saying "You must have a crossrope to jump?" NO WAY, but if you try one out, you'll notice a difference. $10 rope or $100 rope, just do the thing!

In Hungary the price is just too much , like i wanna buy it but beacuse of the war its just too much.
inflation
Suuuucks! We can't control world currency. We wish we could.

I have all four of the cross ropes now been using them for 2 weeks by far the best and definitely worth every penny tbrh.
appreciate you sharing!!! let's goo!
i use my 40$ one and think it was exspensive its worth it tho
Do the thing!
“a very beginner”
Hey! Why don't you guys open a discord server?
It will be beneficial to all of us and get all of us together!
Discord is cool, but we're keeping our community inside our app. When you spread out to too many places, it makes it tough to get everyone together.
@@JumpRopeDudes What is the name of the app?

i have 2 ropes i bought them for 1.20$
I don't know how anyone can justify $120...
just use an old, orange extension cord...it's what's on the inside thst counts ;-)
Why would a jump rope cost 120!?
it's not for everyone, that's okay.

You look like the boxer Billie Joe sanders
i've heard that before lol
I hate plastic jump ropes. Just my personal preference.
I don’t care as long as i have a rope
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^this!
$6 SPRI
Buy a Gimbal if you.cant hold the camera steady. SERIOUSLY IRRITATING
Bro I have the first rope
No offense but my $7 rope is good enough. $120 for a rope is crazy
My American brain was thinking about a jump rope weighing 7 pounds lol! You're talking about the price! It's up to you, you don't need to get a crossrope, if you like your rope then do the thing!
Pro boxers....leather ropes
40 years ago. yes.
@@JumpRopeDudes If it worked for Ali it'll work for anyone. I still use one
What a useless video. Literally covering the extreme outliers at both ends and completely ignoring the middle ground where sanity lives. $5 junk vs $120 cashgrab smh, only on social media is this nonsense valid, and only for clicks and revenue generation. We are so doomed by this influencer and online community paradigm it isn't even funny anymore.
well said
You can tell who has money and who doesn't.

My jump rope is two pieces of wood sticked with a rope like literally and i like it its been 2 years that i use it
LOVE LOVE LOVE... no excuses. Let's goooo!
Yooo that sounds so cool, will you make a video about it?
No excuse for a jump rope to be $100 or even close to it
Works for me since the handle I got can be used for 1/4 and 1/2 pound. I just think of it as an investment for my health.
@@TheBlueFernando understandable. I know it didn’t cost them no where near $20 to make tho 😭
Well it’s no excuse for a lot of things to be a certain price. But sometimes you get what you pay for , and if you use it daily it is worth the money. I run too and have run in cheaper running shoes. But I notice a difference in more expensive shoes too.
@@justagirlandherdogs615 That goes for any product you buy. I like it tho. Total different feel and workout compared to my cheaper rope
