For the life of me, I don’t know why he doesn’t use this as a training campus, pending how many rooms there are, and use it to train other athletes. Turn it into a private resort for athletes. He can turn it into a museum just like Elvis Presley’s house and put all his memorabilia in there. There’s just so much that can be utilized. Jordan’s past home is a LANDMARK. It should never be sold or tampered with.
So I just left from other there. The reason it can't be a museum is because it is actually in a pretty thick residential enclave. His neighbors would never go for a bunch of tourists coming through there. I thought the same until I went by there.
I remember in 2002 I was working for a moving company and we moved a lady in a mini mansion on the left side of the entry gate ,my cousin who I was working with went up to the gate and ring the button and a man answered and he said who is this my cousin said is MJ their he didn't answer so we stood on top of the moving truck and saw how beautiful the mansion was those were good memories.
I’m sure some people might like this house, it looks like a hotel to me! Just because it’s big doesn’t mean it will feel like home ❤️ I wonder if he felt at home here or if he felt like everyone who comes to visit would be impressed.
The reason it’s not selling is because of the design. If a person or couple have the millions to spend then they won’t spend it on a house that was built in the 90s, that looks like it was built in the 90s. A price drop might be needed...For a 6th trophy I mean, time.
If this area had California or NY rich type people, it probably would’ve sold despite that (& they would’ve remodeled what they didn’t like, particularly the exterior). The Chicago area has wealthy people, but one can find- as you essentially said - more modern homes here for half the price + closer to the lake. Thus, although 10+ years on the market is overall shocking, it’s not surprising in general that he’s having to work overtime to sell it. Not super modern + not in an obscenely rich and super marketed area of the USA (for foreign buyers) like California or NY + asking too much for what/where it is (which wouldn’t even be considered a prime area to a lot of us Chicagoans) = on the market for 10+ years
If anyone is curious the house is about $455per sq ft if u count just the home (at 35k sq ft) but it’s only $46 per sq ft if u count the entire 7 acres
Never seen mansions like MJ owned after his basketball years ended, and consider one of the best athletes and celebrities both sports and merchandise corporation.
This house is not inside the city of Chicago it’s in highland park Illinois the home of Ravinia. Ravinia is a beautiful park where people go for entertainment outside. Pack your own picnic food and pay money for a spot inside the park. Highland park is beautiful
Kind of surprised no one bought this as an investment property for tours, events, sports training, etc. Graceland brings in 10M a year and Jordan is iconic enough to bring visitors for many years.
U know everyone work hard 4 all they have. MJ you’ve earned all that U have. But in our society, Y does one person possess so so so much. The poor man will doesn’t have a chance. The rich only get richer. Good luck MJ
Michael Jordan's house intrigues me I would have liked to celebrate my birthday in this incredible house in Chicago with my children and my family as well as my relations
The only person I can see wanting to buy Michael Jordan's home is a big time is it time sports player for the city Chicago. I can see the next Michael Jordan for the Chicago Bulls. Or the very first ever franchise quarterback for the Chicago Bears buying that house but I can't see anyone else.
A very cool and big house, equipped with a basketball court and swimming pool, like living in a cluster complex. If I may ask, do you have buildings other than apartments?
Couple things probably keeping it from selling, one its in Chicago not exactly the most desirable city to live in, two if someone has 14.5M to buy a house they would probably just build one the way they want it. Unless of course they're huge Jordan fans, which apparently is a small market.
The price estimates for the various amenities is wildly under estimated. BTW he's got good decorators. Usually these guy's houses have terribly gaudy decor.
If I was his real estate person, I would have turned the place into hotel Jordan for visitors to enjoy the luxury and profit for Jordan and at the same time people can benefit the luxury Jordan has created😜 Jordan should fire his real estate person for loss of profits
Id too buy if i had the millions n is not the area that matters....to me, his house beats any item collected than any collector may own of Michael Jordan. 😁
Plain and simple , You get what you desever ...And for M.J and his family, The best is what they Deserve. Come on now people , The Best to play the game ,** Period!!
That’s a bad area for $29 million House if the average house in that area is just above $500,000 half million. No wonder why it’s not being sold. You might as well buy the whole area and tear down and make mansions in that area then you will have a better chance of selling it For your asking price. Doesn’t make sense to put a $29 million mansion a month houses that are just over $500,000 that wasn’t really a smart investment move. If you’re going to build mansions build amongst other mansions in nicer neighbourhoods
La maison de Michael Jordan m'intrigue j'aurais aimé fêter mon anniversaire dans cette incroyable maison de Chicago avec mes enfants et ma famille ainsi que mes relations
if that was mine i keep it 4 y my son and he could sell it what ever he lik to do with . plus mj asking to much 4 it probley gone down in value after 10 yrs . he should keep it 4 his kids
I honestly think it’ll be a museum why not or if he passes they’ll do that I’m sure they will do that because if no one’s buying it and u had it since the 90s and you live in Florida now just so how they did never land
If given to me I'd live there but if I had the money I would never purchase that house. It horrendous. I'd purchase it for 5 million and completely gut it. It's going to take some serious cash to fix that.
I am about 20 minutes from his HP home, but about 14.5M short on funds, oh the dreams of having a house like this!! MJ Forever!!!!
Hey, congrats on the 1.5 million! Keep working hard
A shame what that little degenerate did to those people in Highland Park. Literally one of the best places in all of Illinois and this happens

Why in the world would he just kill his own investment?

Spend enough time in a jail cell and it will become your home
Couldn't agree more. The only things missing are the registration desk just inside the glass doors leading to the parking lot.
I’ve been trying to by one of Jordan’s homes since I was 19 I’m 50 now I still need a little more time to get my funds together.😂😂

Awesome! Good for MJ.
In Chicago, the property tax for this kind of house is huge
In Chicago and IL, the property taxes for any property are outrageous. We have some of the highest taxes in the country for no good reason.
@@earthandwind820 Megalomanic buildings such as this should be outrageously taxed.
