I'll also be surprised if they put Ric in the 'big' team , from the outside (as only red bull know the full story) I'd have thought it to be a no brainer to put Yuki in rb1 beside verstappen , with Lawson and Ric in rb2 (reason for Ric to stay is to both please the shareholders and train up the new drivers ) .

All is fun and games, but I think the question that should be asked is: "Is Max Verstappen prepared to tutor or be a mentor to another driver?"
If the answer is no, then drivers like Antonelli will have a very hard time if Max was to move to Mercedes.
Another version of 'no' is that Yuki might be left hanging and ending up like Gasly and Albon.
If the answer is 'yes', then it doesn't matter where Max drives as long as he can win.
I think he doesn't want to mentor younger drivers when he himself is still racing. I mean, drivers will still learn from his insights but he is very much focussed on racing.

Red Bull have pretty much only one smart option if Checo doesn’t do good in next two races, and that is straight away swap Daniel and Checo don’t wait, Daniel wins in a car that suits his driving style it’s his problem he doesn’t adapt well, but Daniel style is he needs a strong front end the same as Max so there is a good chance you put Daniel back in Red Bull and Daniel will be right up the front. Also doing this now if Daniel doesn’t run at the front then next year Daniel and Checo go and give Tsunodo a chance and put Lawson and another rookie in VCARB. But if Red Bull wait to do anything chances are they will make the wrong decision, swap and see then you have the data to make the right decision

I always thought Yuki would be a great wingman for Verstappen. Yuki his defensive driving style would basically mean that if he is 2nd place in a red bull, then no one will even come close to taking over Verstappen in 1st place. The problem is that the 2nd driver should accept being able to act as a wingman, instead of fighting for the WDC. I absolutely understand that every driver on the grid wants to be the champion at least once in their career, and would rather fight against their teammate instead of giving up their chances for the WDC on their teammate. But honestly, it will take years to beat Verstappen in the same machinery while the team build their care to his preferences and he has this much experience with the team.

Verstappen isn't the same guy as he was driving along Ricciardo either. A bit weird to see a trend regarding Hamilton and Russell with just one win for Hamilton when Russell's car broke down and McLaren messed up and RB had a poor speed that weekend. He was a quite regular 2 tenths slower in quali again and if he doesn't change that, he will remain further down the grid with the field this close.

The stupidest mistake RBR could do is keep Checo and keep everything as is. Like you said, the driver lineup for RedBull is stacked and the fact Max has to carry the team by his sheer willpower and talent will hurt RedBull in the long run. The only reason Max stayed faithful to RedBull was bc of Helmut Marko, but with him possibly leaving, Newey gone, the car losing ground to competitors, there are simply no reasons left for Max to stay. If Max had a competent 2nd driver who can help with the WCC as well as development on the car, it'd be much more enjoyable for him as well. RBR has been a 1 man show for 2 years now. Regardless of Max staying or not, RBR needs drivers to replace Checo as well as Max in case he leaves. But if they refuse to cut off Danny and Checo, there wont be talent left at their disposal, bc Yuki will most likely move on to AM and Liam could have a chance at Audi, Williams or Haas in 2026.
