limited is absolutely a problem yes. what would make it not so crappy is if there was a standard pool, limited pool, and limit break pool. when you pull on a limited banner, you can wishlist and also randomly pull all previous limited weapons. when you pull on a limit break banner, you can wishlist and also randomly pull all previous limit break weapons. i highly doubt they'd make that change at this point, so the next best solution would be drastically increasing the amount of weapon parts we get or maybe (though i kinda hate this) introduce limited weapon parts if they don't want us having more universal weapon parts for some reason. what makes it feel especially crappy is they are picking ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL CROSSOVERS and i just can't bring myself to pull on limited banners other than half anni and anni. even those i don't love pulling for now that we know that there is no separate pool and half anni can ONLY be obtained via half anni or anni can ONLY be obtained via anni so on and so forth. it's just not a fun system and i don't enjoy it.
Previous limited/LB would be awesome. I also think they need to release a better source of char specific weapon parts. Would give cause to pull for costumes more and still use WPs to level up other weapons

All these costumes are based off their Amano concept art. And the "kame" is Sabin's 1st blitz skill called Aura Bolt. All the costumes look solid. Cloud and Aerith's look the best though.
The limited banners are definitely a bummer. I joined 3 months ago and there are some weapons I'm really sad to have missed. Instead of so many limited stuff I wish they just rotated to pool of weapons a month you can draw from, or feature 1 limited weapon a month in the regular draws. Even if the chance to get it is .00001 it'd be nice.
I don't mind limited banners, just give stuff to other characters for once. Matt, Lucia, Barret, Red all sitting on 600+ weapon parts with no use. Meanwhile Cloud doesn't get a single fkn permanent pool wep in almost a year. Also mind boggling how Seph gets a 3rd water wep, Aeri a 3rd wind wep, Cloud potentially another non-ele debuffing wep
For the devs it might just be easier or pump out limited banners than to make content that doesn’t require them. Add to that the $$$ factor and it’s just a super simple choice to them. I really like the game but my concern is that the community runs out of patience and the game doesn’t receive the support needed to continue. I hope that doesn’t happen (and I assume they’ve planned for it) since I want to see the story but it’s something that’s always in the back of my mind with all gacha games.

Only massive whales care about all characters, the average person has their three person team and MAYBE one sub. Spreading out who's on the limited banners alleviates FOMO. Myself, my 3 is Cloud/Tifa/Seph and I've just gotten hammered, and I'm getting hammered even worse here as all three are in this one. Has Barret even had one limited banner? I can't think of one. They obviously know who the most popular characters are and are taking advantage of that knowledge.

I agree with you for for the most part Octo. But here is my take, I’m okay with more limited banners if they spread that out to other characters. Bc whales are gonna whale no matter what but there are those of us who mainly pull on our favorites and it’d be nice to get a “break” and let other characters get their time to shine! That all said I’m pretty excited for FF6! It’s not my favorite FF game by any means but it’s absolutely a treasured game that has almost as many fans as FF7 and I’m happy for those that were looking forward to this collab 😄 Terra and Clouds outfit looks the best to me while Tifa’s and Seph’s are a little lower but I still generally like them. I plan to pull for Cloud no matter what as he’s my guy! Also letting you know I managed to snag the Vincent costume and have 47k going into this next collab.

Tifa is fine as Sabin... It's just the costume looks so low effort. The others look like ffvi characters, she looks like a teenager at the mall. Would've preferred her as Celes personally and Sephiroth as Setzer. And if Cloud and Tifa get Non elemental attack AGAIN... Im going to lose it. You also missed Angeal in the trailer... He is Cyan and will probably be the free costume.

Yeah it is actually starting to get to the point where me as a guppy/lightweight-dolphin is really starting to get frustrated and questioning my long-term engagement. It's been almost an entire year since my fav char got a non-limited banner. AND while I got quite alot of few other chars I would like to build. Alot of them have been getting quite a few limited/crossover ones as of late aswell. And while I am a spender, I does actually make me feel cheated and also cheapeaned.
it's not just the limited banners, I have felt like since around the year anniversary that there's just too much going on in the game. I still haven't found time to play thru the new story chapter or even get started on the new tower for Angeal because of the sheer number of events going on. before the event towers ended we had literally 6 options for limited time events to spend our time and stamina on. that's just simply too many, and the additional FOMO from back to back to back limited banners has me feeling burnt out and overwhelmed by the game's current pacing.

Limited banner frequency is a BIG problem right now. I understand the tactic to try and see if people will pay for crystals and copies of weapons but I feel it’s going to work against the developers. I have not played FF6 either but I agree that Tifa’s costume feels uninspired. The others look good with Aerith’s looking the best
This is why I dropped my crystals on Yuffie and Vincent's banners, pulled for the armor's, so I could wishlist their items later. I'm tired of saving crystals for limited stuff. I will start skipping limited stuff from on, cuz is getting out of hand honestly.
That costume is most likely the “Free” one that we get for every collab (so far) the reason it wasn’t highlighted more than likely is bc it being free means no special weapon (like hell get a free weapon but I won’t be anything special ability wise)
i dont expect crossovers to exactly be.. "limited" they will rerun them, and if my experience with other FF mobile games, and the closest game i can relate to this one being Nier: Reincarnation. the way FF7EC flows especially with how we are expanding the amount of characters there are, the towers, theres a LOT in this game that was quite literally just ripped from nier:rein it feels like. especially their banner flow. i think they are just going to keep hammering out costumes. still confused on how they gave out free weapons here and there but they still didnt rerun the free costumes alongside the small reruns theyve had so far. only thing i hope they do with this game is make a challenge story mode that unlocks a free costume thats actually good and not just cosmetic. nier rein had something similar.

Tifa''s Sabin outfit is on point but also Sabin has a very basic design. It's not like how they did Amarant's outfit where they really overhauled the vibe. All these costumes play it very safe design wise.
I also like Tifa as Sabin, but I wish they gave her different pants. Looks too modern compared to everyone else. Except maybe cloud’s leather jacket. But then again that they kept Terra-Aerith faithful :p
Not sure why people are upset about Tifa's choice. Her low ponytail looks fine. She looks great in a tank top. Sabin is a Monk who fights a corrupt empire. Sabin is the same. Her attack is the best. But suplexing a train is my main complaint. What's wrong with the mechanic look? There is a childhood character in Locke's past, Rachel, that's far more similar to Tifa including a bridge fall scene... Agree Setzer aesthetically would've fit Seph best. ...But hate to say it a genderbent Celes would've fit Sephiroth the best as tools of the government. Glad they didn't make Kefka and Seph the same because he's the GOAT and his essence can't be contained in a costume.
How I see the limited banners as I tell my friends, we all are coming from DFFOO, FFEC is a fix to the problem faced in DFFOO, where people were able to save 1 million crystal and get all weapons just with tickets, it all about the money they in it for the profit and at the end of the day its a business.
I really wanted Vincent and Yuffie halloween costumes, but with the FF6 collab coming I'm not gunna be able to pull for either of them :/. I understand they gatta make money, but man it kinda sucks. Tifa and Arieth look so good though!
Bro it sucks! I’m a Yuffie and Vincent main, so getting these Halloween banners back-to-back hurt… Cloud also a mainstay for me and I have to get that Locke costume. So unfortunately I had to make the tough decision to skip either Yuffie or Vincent’s new fit. I went with Vincent since I need a lightning magical DPS.
Not happy with Limited banners tbh. If they do Limited Banners so frequently, then they aren't no longer Limited and special about it. It's all horrible they are doing outfits and weapons again for the 4 OGs....... give other chars some love. If the outfit and weapons are good and meaningful, people will pull no matter what.
By the sound of things, it feels like we have 2 collabs a year: one in November (a FF one), one potentially in February (a diff. IP). Anniversary is September. Half anniversary is March/April. Plus, Limit Break banners. At the end of the day, everyone makes their own choices and what they feel is worth pulling on. Me, I'm always going to pull on these special limited edition banners over anything else because I'm a collector like that. It makes me happy. People chase meta. People chase aesthetics. I just think it odd to complain about too many banners. The odds of seeing any banner, even a normal one, again, is very low. Might see it a year from now - which is a long time. Just my thoughts. The timing of Ever Crises' first anniversary in September is probably the main issues for a lot of this. If the anniversary was in April instead of September, and had the whole summer to save, that would feel very different than what it does now. I'm excited for the collab, I think all costumes look great though, the one I'm not feeling is Cloud's. I look forward to pulling for Seph, Aerith, and Tifa, though, and will wait to see what it does before deciding on going for Cloud's.

Unpopular opinion here, I think this looks terrible. Sephiroth looks surprisingly good with Edgars outfit, so that's cool. But why are they having this cross over in the first place? It is bad enough that they are still milking the well worn and bloodied teets of the cow that is FF7 but this looks like a horrible mix. At one time I wanted SquareEnix to look into doing a Dark Souls-esk remake of FF6 but given the track record I kind of want them to forget FF6 altogether so as not to ruin it and turn it into another mindless button masher. If this is people first experience with any FF6 I would encourage you to pass but in the end it's your decision. Anyways, you asked for my opinion and I gave it. Cheers.
as a MASSIVE FF6 fan I was so excited for this.. but then the weapons looks like doubles of what we already have.. like I want to pull for aerith costume of course, but another wind setup?? why? Tifa another non elem magic weapon after the 1st anniversary banner barely weeks ago? why? another seph water setup while he got a brand new one recently again? WHY? nothing makes sense with this event (at least for now) Also I completely agree, cloud as locke looks like a FF10 character, the bandana doesn't work at all, really not great.. Tifa's costume made me stop and think for a bit.. I thought she was dressed as Cid from FF6 and not sabin.. Cid wears a yellow over coat so yeah.. that sucks cos his blitz looks great on her weapon though As for sephiroth, I dunno, he doesn't vibe like an Edgar to me. Aside from Aerith having the best costume of the whole game, the rest really feels like a missed opportunity to me. FF9 crossover was way better on this department. Also while I love those characters, how about giving some other character some costumes? Like why not Umaro for cait sith? Realm for Yuffie maybe and a moogle RedXIII? Ah well, we'll see when it comes out, I'm sure they'll be broken but despite being the number 1 fan of FF6, I'll probably just pull for aerith (again..)

Limited betters have definitely gone too far. Aerith and Seph look like they were made for the crash battle that’s coming. Still might get just their costumes if they get water/wind arcanums. Since tempest and prism rod can be on a wishlist those outfits would still be useful I know they have those arcanums already, but the dev don’t care about that. Unless cloud/tifa is either as broken as kamura wand or darkness/holy they are probably a skip from me.

Actually FF6 has no “main” protagonist/hero, like most FF games. The closest to main hero is Terra but she is often seen as the “Face” of FF6. Every character that’s not a secret character has importanotp the story. Cloud could have been anyone really but Locke is popular so that’s most likely why Cloud got his costume. Also as a Cloud main, I wouldn’t mind him not getting all these limited weapons but you may not have noticed that the last Regular banner weapon he got was back in January, lmao

Locke has a big part he plays in the story much like Terra and Celes but it’s been explained many of times during interviews that they wanted every character to feel important. It’s just Terra and Celes have the biggest story roles. Locke is closest to both of them so he naturally feels like a main “hero” but he isn’t. Google it, the info is right there, I’m not just making it up.

This is why I dropped my crystals on Yuffie and Vincent's banners, pulled for the armor's, so I could wishlist their items later. I'm tired of saving crystals for limited stuff. I will start skipping limited stuff from on, cuz is getting out of hand honestly.

That costume is most likely the “Free” one that we get for every collab (so far) the reason it wasn’t highlighted more than likely is bc it being free means no special weapon (like hell get a free weapon but I won’t be anything special ability wise)
i dont expect crossovers to exactly be.. "limited" they will rerun them, and if my experience with other FF mobile games, and the closest game i can relate to this one being Nier: Reincarnation. the way FF7EC flows especially with how we are expanding the amount of characters there are, the towers, theres a LOT in this game that was quite literally just ripped from nier:rein it feels like. especially their banner flow. i think they are just going to keep hammering out costumes. still confused on how they gave out free weapons here and there but they still didnt rerun the free costumes alongside the small reruns theyve had so far. only thing i hope they do with this game is make a challenge story mode that unlocks a free costume thats actually good and not just cosmetic. nier rein had something similar.
I hope we get a FFX cross over.
And honestly, would like to see 13 as well :)

@Dead_Hitori ah thanks, it's been many many years since I last played it, sabins blitz's were always a darn pain on the ps1 directional pad, I used to use aura bolt a lot just because I had a lot of success with the button combo

@Dead_Hitori Aurabolt or aura cannon is actually a holy magic attack in ff6...all of sabin's blitz attacks are magic based with exception of pummel and suplex.

Tifa''s Sabin outfit is on point but also Sabin has a very basic design. It's not like how they did Amarant's outfit where they really overhauled the vibe. All these costumes play it very safe design wise.

Not sure why people are upset about Tifa's choice. Her low ponytail looks fine. She looks great in a tank top. Sabin is a Monk who fights a corrupt empire. Sabin is the same. Her attack is the best. But suplexing a train is my main complaint. What's wrong with the mechanic look?
There is a childhood character in Locke's past, Rachel, that's far more similar to Tifa including a bridge fall scene...

How I see the limited banners as I tell my friends, we all are coming from DFFOO, FFEC is a fix to the problem faced in DFFOO, where people were able to save 1 million crystal and get all weapons just with tickets, it all about the money they in it for the profit and at the end of the day its a business.
I really wanted Vincent and Yuffie halloween costumes, but with the FF6 collab coming I'm not gunna be able to pull for either of them :/. I understand they gatta make money, but man it kinda sucks. Tifa and Arieth look so good though!
Bro it sucks! I’m a Yuffie and Vincent main, so getting these Halloween banners back-to-back hurt… Cloud also a mainstay for me and I have to get that Locke costume. So unfortunately I had to make the tough decision to skip either Yuffie or Vincent’s new fit. I went with Vincent since I need a lightning magical DPS.

Not happy with Limited banners tbh. If they do Limited Banners so frequently, then they aren't no longer Limited and special about it. It's all horrible they are doing outfits and weapons again for the 4 OGs....... give other chars some love. If the outfit and weapons are good and meaningful, people will pull no matter what.
Limited banners should be half/full year anniversary not every month
By the sound of things, it feels like we have 2 collabs a year: one in November (a FF one), one potentially in February (a diff. IP). Anniversary is September. Half anniversary is March/April. Plus, Limit Break banners. At the end of the day, everyone makes their own choices and what they feel is worth pulling on. Me, I'm always going to pull on these special limited edition banners over anything else because I'm a collector like that. It makes me happy. People chase meta. People chase aesthetics. I just think it odd to complain about too many banners. The odds of seeing any banner, even a normal one, again, is very low. Might see it a year from now - which is a long time. Just my thoughts. The timing of Ever Crises' first anniversary in September is probably the main issues for a lot of this. If the anniversary was in April instead of September, and had the whole summer to save, that would feel very different than what it does now.
I'm excited for the collab, I think all costumes look great though, the one I'm not feeling is Cloud's. I look forward to pulling for Seph, Aerith, and Tifa, though, and will wait to see what it does before deciding on going for Cloud's.

Unpopular opinion here, I think this looks terrible. Sephiroth looks surprisingly good with Edgars outfit, so that's cool. But why are they having this cross over in the first place? It is bad enough that they are still milking the well worn and bloodied teets of the cow that is FF7 but this looks like a horrible mix. At one time I wanted SquareEnix to look into doing a Dark Souls-esk remake of FF6 but given the track record I kind of want them to forget FF6 altogether so as not to ruin it and turn it into another mindless button masher. If this is people first experience with any FF6 I would encourage you to pass but in the end it's your decision. Anyways, you asked for my opinion and I gave it. Cheers.

as a MASSIVE FF6 fan I was so excited for this.. but then the weapons looks like doubles of what we already have.. like I want to pull for aerith costume of course, but another wind setup?? why? Tifa another non elem magic weapon after the 1st anniversary banner barely weeks ago? why? another seph water setup while he got a brand new one recently again? WHY? nothing makes sense with this event (at least for now)
Also I completely agree, cloud as locke looks like a FF10 character, the bandana doesn't work at all, really not great..
Tifa's costume made me stop and think for a bit.. I thought she was dressed as Cid from FF6 and not sabin.. Cid wears a yellow over coat so yeah.. that sucks cos his blitz looks great on her weapon though
As for sephiroth, I dunno, he doesn't vibe like an Edgar to me.
Aside from Aerith having the best costume of the whole game, the rest really feels like a missed opportunity to me.
FF9 crossover was way better on this department.
Also while I love those characters, how about giving some other character some costumes? Like why not Umaro for cait sith? Realm for Yuffie maybe and a moogle RedXIII?

Limited betters have definitely gone too far. Aerith and Seph look like they were made for the crash battle that’s coming. Still might get just their costumes if they get water/wind arcanums. Since tempest and prism rod can be on a wishlist those outfits would still be useful I know they have those arcanums already, but the dev don’t care about that. Unless cloud/tifa is either as broken as kamura wand or darkness/holy they are probably a skip from me.

Actually FF6 has no “main” protagonist/hero, like most FF games. The closest to main hero is Terra but she is often seen as the “Face” of FF6. Every character that’s not a secret character has importanotp the story. Cloud could have been anyone really but Locke is popular so that’s most likely why Cloud got his costume.
Also as a Cloud main, I wouldn’t mind him not getting all these limited weapons but you may not have noticed that the last Regular banner weapon he got was back in January, lmao

Locke has a big part he plays in the story much like Terra and Celes but it’s been explained many of times during interviews that they wanted every character to feel important. It’s just Terra and Celes have the biggest story roles. Locke is closest to both of them so he naturally feels like a main “hero” but he isn’t. Google it, the info is right there, I’m not just making it up.
