I love how Kieran's theme changes from being definitively weaker and living in Carmine's shadow to "Ye boi I've entered my villain arc and this is my boss theme" with much stronger instrumental sounds than Carmine, but still retaining their family motif to show the old kid is still in there somewhere

3: The Blood Moon Beast (ik it’s not included here but it’s the only time that theme plays)

1: Final Battle Kieran
I just finished a walkthrough today so now I can rank everything! (Not including the Bonus Johto Battle theme, but it is a nice little throwback.)
6: Vs Wild Pokémon (Not bad at all, just doesn't stick out like the others do.)
5: Vs Carmine (Not bad by any means, but I kinda wish this one had fiercer instrumentation)
4: Vs Kieran Final Battle (Very fitting increase of intensity and fitting for the story. Makes me wonder if it'll hint to what we'll see at Blueberry next time.)
3: Vs Kieran (I actually like the instruments of this version more for this particular song, but it's not a huge margin.)
2: Vs Ogrepon (I love the instruments and rhythm making this one really feel like it's mixing ancient and modern aspects of music)
1: Vs The Loyal Three (Straight Banger. No contest.)

My ranking and thoughts on each battle theme
6) Kieran: I feel bad putting it at the bottom 'cause I still really like this theme, it's just not quite as strong as the others, imo.
5) Kitakami Wild Pokémon: I really quite enjoy this wild battle theme, probably one of my personal favorites in the game now.
4) Carmine: Pretty solid battle theme for a character that I have a love-hate relationship with.
3) Loyal Three: Gives me similar vibes to the Treasures of Ruin theme with the tempo and general beat. It sounds really good, even if it's still not quite my favorite
2) Ogrepon: This theme does come SUPER close to being one of my absolute favorites. Such a solid battle theme to go with an actually pretty solid boss Pokémon battle that caps off the story.
1) Decisive Battle! Kieran: This theme goes so hard and I love it. It perfectly captures the shift Kieran undergoes throughout the story (a shift that I still feel absolutely awful for considering the part that the protag plays in causing it). It's definitely up there as one my personal favorite battle themes in SV now.

Imagine a full Legends: Celebi game with a soundtrack as good as this
Kieran is kinda just Wally 2.0 now that I think about it.
And we're getting a battle facility (or something resembling one) in the indigo disk.
Anyone who ever unlocked the secret final Wally fight in ORAS, get ready for some PTSD, it seems.
its been a while since a rival has actively disliked you, im really excited to see where the story goes in the next portion of the dlc. EDIT: actually now that i think about it i dont think ANY rival has actively disliked you. Blue was a jerk but not to you specifically, same with Silver. Not to mention that Kieran starts out liking you and steadily grows to resent you. Really unique for a rival.

Ditto! I love how catchy it is, and it's neat with those brief moments where the sounds go from left to right. Plus those Japanese-style instruments are just GF's bread and butter, they always sound so good in whatever theme they're used in!

Johto battle theme, kitakami battle theme, actually, I love all of the battle themes equally, which is honestly the first time I'm saying that .
Keirans final fight theme. The shift from his happier, yet determined music to a darker, more angrier tone through very subtle changes really does wonders! And how it still retains the same tune of the original version, but making it more threatening and imposing without sounding like full on a villain battle just yet is perfect.
If I had to rank them:
5. Wild Pokwmon (Kitakami): It's kinda just whatever to me.
4. Ogrepon: Her theme is so adorably bouncy and cheerful, I can't help but sway along to it.
3. Carmine: I like how her theme is actually pretty fun, in spite of how she comes off at first. Fitting, considering how she ends up enjoying your company as the game goes on.
2. Loyal/Lousy Three: Ahh... That's a catchy beat. It sounds kinda heroic at some points (how the people saw them) and menacing at others (as they're actually a bunch of assholes). Very, very nice.
1. Kieren (both themes): The shy boi reigns supreme with his extremely catchy themes. I like how they both have similarities to his sister's theme, but where she has a more fun, energetic vibe, his sounds somewhat ominous (his first theme) to outright aggressive (his second theme).
come to think of it, a lot of johto related stuff is in SV, almost like a remake of Crystal is the next game (i really hope so)
I don't think so, it's just that it's a Japanese region like Johto, so they made the reference
Both are traditional Japanese regions
Kitakami is actually a real place in Japan too (can't remember where it was but pretty sure it was pretty close to Johto's inspiration)

6:Wild Battle(its good but just like the others in this game so bottom)
5:Carmine(Just the instruments arent my favorite but its alright.
4:Final Battle Kieran(The guitar is just meh but still fine i just like the other one better.)
3:Loyal Three(Very good but the other two are way better to me.)
2:Kieran normal battle(I love the violin and the kinda 8 but noises it has alot better than the constant guitar in the other one.)
1:Ogerpon(Just a bop love it.)

Where’s ursuluna, that pokemon is in this dlc as well, Edit: Nvm about the Ursaluna your legends arceus battle themes is okay, I just wanted to say if the Johto battle music for one of the modes for the rotom stick, isn’t a confirmation for Johto remakes for the switch, than I don’t know what is

@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 oh fancy that! Just looked it up. However, I still feel justified in excluding the battle music here since it’s exactly the same as the track used in Legends: Arceus, not a new remix.
The Indigo Disk video got taken down?
Probably. It featured the mythical that we can't talk about til a few hours time.
I wish these songs felt more intense. Something about them makes it feel off from the main game, especially when you consider songs like Team Star Grunt/Boss, Area Zero Wild Battle, and AI Professor. These comparisons might be pretty unfair though so suggest better ones.
It's about the stakes I guess, there isn't a big threat this time around.
