  • See the reason why I started to get into Cosplay and truth be told get inspired to start this RUclips Channel. This is my personal overview of a white power ranger helmet kit build with tips, opinions, and useful alternatives to common problems with Bobby Fischer on the very first episode of "Fischer Builds".
    Afterthought: For Sanding "Bondo", I used 400 & 800 grit wet/dry sand paper from Home Depot.
    Warning: When sanding or using a rotary tool to cut ANYTHING, wear a dust mask or better yet a canister style respirator to prevent inhaling particles of stuff.

      Thanks, it’s the screen visor. It doesn’t inhibit sound or air. 👍🏻

    How do you install extra foam in the helmet?

    • @FischerBuilds
      @FischerBuilds  5 лет назад

      Sorry, I didn't see this comment. On a resin cast helmet, scuff the inside with a dremel or sand paper, then just hot glue.

    This video has been super helpful. I bought the White Ranger unfinished resin helmet from boochieboy and have never done anything like this before. Your video has been helpful in quelling so of the fear of taking this on. I'm still a little uneasy about the hinge aspect but I'm sure I'll get it figured out. I noticed that it looks like you had to cut a notch out of the helmet to make room for the hinge. Am I right? Any additional tips when dealing with the hinge is helpful.

    I’ve never used the rivets. Can you maybe do a detailed video or recommend a video. I haven’t found one for the helmets.

      Djangus Roundstone ruclips.net/video/F8-ixC71vAs/видео.html I actually know Dave. He did this video. He is on FB in the group called “The Power Ranger / Super Sentai Cosplay Buy / Sell / Trade”. He is a great builder and this video is exactly how I learned to do mine.

    My wife has a pink ranger helmet she ordered. It was from Taiwan. So it has no airholes. And I'm wanting to either drill some or possibly try to remove the visor and potentially add this black netting you applied... Would I be able to drill at this point now that the helmet is complete? What's your opinion?

    • @FischerBuilds
      @FischerBuilds  6 лет назад +1

      adam ramos It is possible. I would tape the area and mark where you want to drill. If you have a hand center punch. That prestarts a drill hole. This prevents wandering. Then go slowly and it should drill fine. If you do it under the lip like the helmets have, you may be able to touch up if paint roughs up but take your time and you’ll be ok.

    • @FischerBuilds
      @FischerBuilds  6 лет назад

      Also, the net negates the need for air holes entirely. Maybe see how easy the visor is to remove.

      Where did you get net from?

    • @FischerBuilds

      adam ramos I got a 10 x 13 sheet from hobby lobby for $0.69. Yarnology plastic canvas.

    Well, this is going to be really helpful for the Pink and Yellow helmets I'm working on (although the yellow helmet is going to need to have the neckline resculpted, I think).

    Did you use fiberglass on the inside of the helmet or anything to make it sturdy, because I’m trying to not use fiberglass lol

    • @FischerBuilds
      @FischerBuilds  5 лет назад

      Jaduff82 I did not, it was a very thick casting so it was plenty rigid. The white is a Jason Lopez (F5 Props) and the pink I did was an Eric0101, it was much thinner, and I didn’t use fiberglass on either and they both held up fine.

    • @Jaduff82
      @Jaduff82 5 лет назад

      Thanks because I really didn’t want to use fiberglass and one last question I appreciate you for taking the time to answer. But what did you use for your registration keys and what did you use to attach them

    • @bobbyfischer7609
      @bobbyfischer7609 5 лет назад +1

      Jaduff82 I used a thin piece of plexiglass and rounded the corners. I scuffed up the plexi with sand paper so hot glue had something to grab and I etched a checker pattern in the helmet for better adhesion too. Hot glue and clamps is all it took.

    The link for the molding is gone. Do you recommend another one?

    • @FischerBuilds
      @FischerBuilds  5 лет назад +1

      Its F5Propstore on Etsy...www.etsy.com/shop/F5propstore?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=547245980. Jason Lopez is the maker. His channel on RUclips is BoochieBoy... ruclips.net/channel/UC5ROEQSLyn5M9iMgFZ7W_Kw. I think he cycles his offerings on Etsy. I would DM him and just ask. I know there are other casts available and i have tried them and wont recommend them. I can recommend finished helmet makers on FB if you are interested in a done one. Let me know. Hope this helps.

      assassin x it’s been a few years. $100-$120. Not 100% sure sorry. It was from F5 Prop Store on Etsy. They don’t sell the white anymore. Just black and pink MMPR.

      Ryan Benane I don’t do commissions. If you are looking to buy a finished helmet. On FB, look up Guillaume Willy in the “Power Ranger / Super Sentai Buy/Sell/Trade” Group. If he’s busy, he will point you to another reliable maker. Avoid Aniki and you should be ok.
