We had cadavers that were kept in formaldehyde in Nursing School. They turn brown and leathery and you can't tell if they are feminine or masculine from the faces (we had one of each). They had been dissected (similar to an autopsy) so that we could see the different organs and such. Everything is brown and looks nothing like a live body as we discovered during our surgical rotation. These bodies were a lot newer than his parents would be, so I honestly would not recommend viewing them even if you were given the opportunity. My mother couldn't serve roast beef for years when my sister or I were home because that is what the muscles looked like. The smell of formaldehyde permeated everything and you couldn't get in the shower fast enough after that lab. I would leave that one alone as some students were seriously traumatized by them.
The cadavers they use in medical school now are just kept cold in between uses , correct ? or are they treated with something as well ? Just curious . I have often thought of donating my body for the education of young Doctors .. Seems better than just letting it rot in a grave . Any advise @lisasmith5291
I had a wild biology teacher when I was in high school, who had a human fetus and separate placenta,(at the time it was 13 yrs old), as well as a fetal horse and pig, in jars of formaldehyde. There were also fish, snakes, turtles, tapeworm, etc.,. At times she would open a jar or two and have us look over the specimen. They were brown. I will never get that smell out of my nostrils. She also kept road kill in her mini fridge along with her lunch. She was almost, (should have been), fired, for giving extra credit to kids who would bring in dead cats and said that it didn't matter how they were collected. Scary woman.
My daughter is a student nurse practitioner. When I asked her “what did ya do today? She said “oh, you know played around with some intestines and those things”. Lol I love how she’s nonchalant about it. She just got her white coat with her name on it. Yeah, proud mom here. Happy Holidays to everyone! 🎉♥️❄️
Merry Christmas everyone! Excellent episode! I had to come back and re-watch my internet was buffering and I lost you all at the live. Merry Christmas fellow FOTF gang! Merry Christmas Ron and family! -Nina
Congratulations, you have well over a half million subscribers. This is quite an achievement even for major podcasts in news media. You are the living example of what hard work can accomplish.❤ And thank you for another fascinating story.
As always, I look forward to your premiers, not only because they are interesting, but also because of the respect that you show for the living and for the deceased. God bless you, Ron! 💜
Very intriguing story... it really lets the mind wander. Thank you, Ron! ❤ God's blessings to you and your family for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 🎄
What a wild story Ron! This guy was twisted but i must confess i had to laugh about a few of the strange elements of his behavior. Hard to believe in some ways that he got away with all of this. What is your theory on who else is in that mausoleum? All murder victims? Probably not his 2nd wife or nephew. Maybe his sister that mysteriously disappeared? Absolutely bizarre! Thank you Ron very entertaining and i loved the macabre music at the end !
Hi Ron, merry Christmas. I am watching your video right now and I love your videos and channel. Thank you for posting this video. You're an awesome storyteller.
I got married at the gazebo at his mansion. It’s called Burritt On The Mountain, and it’s gorgeous there. Worth a visit if you are close by, especially in the fall. I had no idea about the back story though. Great episode, Ron! ❤
When I did my research, seems like the local historian sanitized his story. But yes, it looked like a beautiful place up there. Thanks for sharing, that’s awesome that you were actually there.
Ron, thank you for all the amazing stories of peoples lives you bring to us throughout the year: and the wonderful graveyards we see because of you. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas, and a blessed 2025.
I enjoyed that video very much..May be one of my favorites, yet! I do wish we could have a real good close up of the formaldehyde tomb. I couldn't see anything from the photograph, but I appreciate the story and I'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas 😊
Well, this was a strange story for sure ! This man seemed to get away with everything he attempted ~ suspicious deaths, sneaky land and property grabs etc. He sure wouldn't have been a pleasant person to run into ! Wonder where he was buried?? They had to put his body somewhere. Truly amazing what people could get away with when they had alot of money. Thanks for telling such a wierd story !
The Robinson had a large kin group in Huntland Tennessee. I should know since my Robinson family is from Huntsville and Huntland 😆 They used to own Falls Mills Mountain. My great aunt sold half of it after her husband was killed on the mountain.
Your stories are so awesome just like you are Ron thanks so much telling and sharing them too,I have been binge watching other episodes i missed watching all i can say is WOW!!!! ,will see you all later on tonight 😊❤.
also, I know I've said this over and over, but dude, I could listen to you talk for HOURS! You are by far the BEST story teller out there. I would love if you wrote a book about your favorite grave sites, and their associated stories (if you haven't already and I just don't know about it). I would totally buy it! Just a thought
How do you sleep at night, Ron? This story is haunting to me. I usually watch your videos more than once, and I might try again in the daylight, but not tonight. Wow, what a story.
I’m a silent watcher normally but this was interesting. He sounds like a really sadistic man and I can’t even imagine having to be stuck with that psycho for eternity
Thanks Ron, wow that was a crazy and disturbing story. He was a wacko for sure. I wasn't familiar with that story. I enjoyed the video. I want to wish you Ron and your family a very Merry Christmas and a very Merry Christmas to the FOTF gang. Take care guys. Be safe.
I wouldn't be peaking into the formaldehyde casket contents just before Xmas dinner Ron. Merry Christmas and thank you for all the great stories in 2024.
You ought to do a reading of A Christmas Carol or something to that affect. My boys and I, you know Wiley and Liam, even at 13 & 15, look forward to your voice and the way you speak to the story.
Looking forward to this, Ron and alice. It'll be good entertainment after supper. Except I'm going to have the Tampa Bay football game on in the background listening to it while I listen to you
Merry Christmas! I look forward to your videos and this one certainly caught my attention. No one tells these stories quite like you. As always, I appreciate the respectfulness and knowledgeable presentation. Thanks again!
I think those who truly don't believe in heaven, do everything they can to preserve their bodies on earth. Thank you, Ron, for researching such interesting stories. Wishing you an awesome Christmas with your family.🎄🎁

Thats intense. But I guess its all for science. What would we know without the contributionof people who leave their bodies for research.

That 'teacher' should have been married to the guy in this story.
But then he'd probably would have stuck her in some jar.
This one was very chilling. Serial killer popped into my head instantly 😮 Great story ❤
Perfect example of why we know to ALWAYS WATCH till the end!!
My daughter is a student nurse practitioner. When I asked her “what did ya do today? She said “oh, you know played around with some intestines and those things”. Merry Christmas 🎄 🎅🏻
I oddly read that inscription over the door in my head as “he giveth his beloved, sleep”, as if to imply that he did any of them some sort of mercy.
"He" being Dr. Burritt...perhaps he is giving us a clue.
