One has to accept the fact that no war machine is invincible. You get to know the efficacy of a hardware when you put it into action against the equal opponent not the weaker armies. For instance, the F-117 was shot down in Yugoslavia and the much vaunted stealth drone was taken out by the Iranian forces. Here in the case of Ukraine war , Russia is fighting an opponent who has almost similar military strategy and weapons like Russia even if it's much inferior to the invading army. On top of that, the Ukrainian military is armed to the teeth by the west against Russia with modern weapons. If only the US and Russia go to war with each other should we get to know the damage that war brings to each other and to analyze the weapons qualities. Anyone can claim anything on a forum but that will not be the case when it comes to reality.

The destruction of the F117 was a combination of several factors none of which were a fault of the aircraft. Due to poor planning the F117s came in through the exact same corridor theyve been using for weeks prior. They also knew the aircraft were coming due to a spy watching them take off. They positioned their anti air exactly where it had to be expecting correctly theyd use the same path. At the right time they started scanning twice and still didnt see them. Then against regulations a sort of obsessed commander ordered a third scan which coincidentally picked up one F117 during the brief moment the bombbay doors were open negating their stealth. They fired 2 missiles one of which was even dodged by the F117. The second one scored a sort of lucky hit. I think it speaks more for the F117 that despite all these factors basically creating a worst case scenario only a single F117 got shot down. This was designed to counter the F15 eagle and the mass produced F16. SU35 is a heavy fighter this is because Russia is the biggest country in terms of landmass. The whole of the northern part of Asia is owned by Russia. In order to defend its vast land area it need a heavy fighter with a heavy weapons loadout and huge gas tank.
While Russia's land mass is certainly what you say, I find it hard to believe this fighter could even cover a little more than it's designated combat radius which then means that bases would have to placed, at least with slightly overlapping coverage, and the Ruskies hardly have enough jets to do that! A stationary radar that requires directional illumination of the target, with a non-rotary radar that allows an anti-missile maneuver to be performed when launching a missile... And yes, let me remind you, although the Su-35 has an outdated radar, it is very powerful, the F-35 is visible from 150km+, and if it also comes with external missiles... 20kW radar power.
It has Irbis E radar which is one of the best passive radars ever made. Being it's a big radar it's better than some AESA radars. But to put it on par with the other AESA fighters. The main radar is assisted by 2 small AESA radars in the wings. An upgrade is planned to put SU 57's AESA radar in SU 35.
The SU-30 is a 2 seat variant, it’s role is something similar to the F-15E, it also came into service years before the SU-35. The SU-33 is a naval carrier variant similar to the F-14 and F-18.
The SU-34 is ground attack variant, again similar to the F-15E but with more emphasis on air-to-ground than the SU-30 while the SU-30 is more capable for air-to-air.
Assuming the giant RCS of the Su-35 survives to a suicidal merge, what makes you think its opponents aren’t going to face-shoot it with Helmet-HOBS missiles, many of which in the West are now BVR-capable as well? AIM-9X Block II+ and ASRAAM have significant range increases over their legacy models, with FPA seekers, not IR-dependent. This again assumes the Su-35S has survived multiple data-link guided BVRAAMs. The Russian pilots haven’t even graduated into brevity codes on the Radio, don’t have secure radios.
@@JimCarner FPA seekers are typically IR spectrum, but modern Passive Seeker AAMs have different ways for initial targeting available to them, namely data-link and LOAL.

When you get to close combat with this fighter , you are dead.

This feels AI generated
In use it's the Su-35S
so advanced that Ukraine Army shoot them down faster than they take flight IT'S LIKE ALL RUSSIAN COPYS !! JNK !!!
1 got shot down today, pilot captured.
But a uktaine soldier and a stinger can bring it down lol
A nice aircraft. The ukrainien IRIS-System will welcom it.
It was hype until Ukraine and we finally got to see the true colors of these aircraft, Trash. This is Russias version of the Vietnam war which after this conflict they will have to go back to the drawing board for their entire air force. Super manuvering was relevant back when heat seeking missiles where the bread and butter of the USAF, Today not so much. If Russia has problems with a non ranked Air force. Imagine if they had picked on a NATO member with F-16's F-15's, Typhoon, Gripen or even Rafale. It's a no win situation for Russia or anyone who operates them.
If they’d done that to anyone besides Ukraine they would’ve mopped the floor with you. I mean do you not find it a bit troubling that despite the west training them on THEIR TACTICS, arming them to the teeth and possessing the second largest standing army and second most extensive air defences they’re still getting bodied?
@@ghostfacegrillah7891 exactly, most people dont understand that this is a NATO vs Russia war, only the Ukrainian people fight instead of the Westerners, it is...to some degree understandable that Russia is mobilising against a well equiped, motivated, supported and trained, expirienced oponent.
I know that China purchased Su-35, and any country else?
That's why you stay at 35k feet
Would have liked to hear about the shootdown. It was only in the title.
SU 35 is still 10 years behind the western jets
it just an f-14 tomcat with modern equipment
Tech from the early 70s😂
Every time Russia builds somthing new.. o it's very dangerous we need something to counter it.
So far all those claims since the 50s have been wrong.
I'm sure its a dangerous fighter jet but probably not much more than the mig-29. Adjustable exhaust may help in a fact face dog fight.
Other than that the cobra strike is just a nice airshow move and a way to blend off your speed when you shouldn't.
Как же всё это предвзято..!
NA KOKPITE NEZALEZI ALE TO CO JE VNOM A PODNIM A TAM JE TOHO VELA OCOM SA MOZE LEN AMIGOM SNIVAT
I'm more confident than ever an F-16 could probably beat this thing.... and both the F15 and F22 could kill it dead easy...
My brother is an f22 pilot and I asked him about the su35 after the Ukrainian war started and he said it is superior to the f15 and definitely f16
@@Etha-xi8ei R16 single engined aka light fighter. Su35 is twin engined aka heavy fighter… you don’t know what you are talking about
Su 35 is a heavy fighter. Not saying su 35 is superior but it's armament and some other advantage make it a considerable threat to the western planes. There's a reason why this channel that usually praise western military hardware make a video about a superiority of a Russian jet fighter
F-16 was shot down by Mig-21🥺
@@regizeelement8511 Actually, I'm referring to an entire flight package of ELINT, AWACS, advanced fighter radar, fire control systems, superior long range fire support, armaments, better maintenance, logistical support and far superior training.
no, brah.. actually, I DO know what I'm talking about and you are talking out your ass because some fancy paintcolor on a jet.............
