The reason forward swept wings were tested and abandoned was structural. The wings would twist with much greater force than aft swept wings. It would require a wing root that would be so heavy it negates any performance advantages.

Still waiting for the telepathic flight control (think in Russian!) innovations to make it into USAF inventory (lol). We stole -- borrowed it in 1982, so you'd think we could've reversed engineered it by now after 42 years!

The Su-47 was also supposed by Sukhoi as Carrier based Navy aircraft. So the S-37 /Su-47 prototype already had folding wings. Well, this first aircraft had only manually folding wings.. The SU-57 is not a stealth fighter. It has the same RCS as a clean F/A-18F Super Hornet. And the Super Hornet is not a stealth fighter. The SR-71 has a considerably smaller RCS even though it is twice the size of the Felon. BTW, the SR-71 had exposed screws and even a corrugated skin. The lack of S-ducts allows the engine blades to return radar signals. These returns are very significant. The SU-57 does not use RAM coating on the exterior of the aircraft, at all. They decided to use fiberglass in the construction due to cost restraints. This has also caused issues with the rigidity of the airframe. This means it cannot handle high Gs for extended periods and the life of the airframe is degraded considerably. Also the modeling used clean design and does not take into account the exposed rivets. The recessed screws do present an issue as well. The picture shown of the US aircraft panels are of these panels shows the RAM covering them in the first one and the second is without coating presumably during maintenance without the RAM coating. They are not pictures of the F-35 or F-22 in combat configuration when these are covered. That was a very deceptive misrepresentation. The SU-57 is an example of what not to do creating a stealth aircraft. The design is good but the manufacturing and cost cutting provisions keep this plane from being "stealth." The USA is not afraid, at all.

I dont understand the grammatical errors and word pronunciation in these vids. "Weapondry"? It sounds like the errors of a script just read verbatim by an AI voice-over. Very strange..

Apparently the Mig 1.44 was a ripped off design. There was a rejected concept for the F-22, I think from McDonald Douglas, which looked like a stealthy version of the Mig 1.44.
When I first saw a picture of that concept I thought some military nerd had made a "what if the Mig 1.44 would be stealthy?"-mockup, but then I learned that the picture I saw was actually one of the rejected concepts for the F-22 program.

With what’s going on in the world I have some doubt that Russia will be able to stay competitive in the aircraft industry. Other countries are now producing aircraft of their own that may keep Russian aircraft in the background 😢 which is a shame they try so hard to keep up with the west.

Come on. The Su-75 is nothing but a mock-up and a hilariously unrealistic wishlist that will never-ever come to be. And even if it did, it'll still be a less-advanced, less stealthy F-35.

What many armchair aviation pundits seem to miss.... the SU-57 airframe was signed off, the avionics and it's 6 radars, yes it has 6 radars including one "dock-off" hulking great lump in the nose with a lock on range of Manchester to Glasgow....approx 225miles by road. It had the R37 able to cover that 225miles in under 25 seconds and X-band that it is claimed nullifies stealth. What they did not have is the engine they wanted. The AL-51F1(Izdeliye 30) is claimed by aviation commentators outside of Russia, as a 6th Gen engine. Mach2 Cruising, more power, better climb and higher ceiling with stealth capabilities.

A real fighter's RCS can't be less then RCS of modern cruise missile. So claiming that F-22/F-35's RCS is under 0.1 m2 - nonsense, marketing or prop. for those who don't know anything about physics. RCS as itself is important when you're going to invade in contested airspace, so you design your aircrafts in a respective way. If you don't have such plans or intentions, a RCS/radar capabilities ratio gives you much more relevant basis
