- A designated rest area in the Upper Peninsula turned out to be a great adventure ending with waterfalls and a gorge. What's your favorite place in Michigan?

Michigan is filled with countless low key attractions everything feels like a secret.
couldn't agree more, what's your favorite spot in MI?
Michigan’s best kept secret is at the corner of prentis and 2nd Ave in Detroit, MI- $2 molsons
Type of beer? I have always wanted to check out Detroit
Cass Corridor. My old stomping grounds
Been there twice. The rock formations are incredible. Great job on the video.
Canyon Falls, the largest box canyon east of the Mississippi River
This is so beautiful...I'm so glad you got to go!!
hey y'all, when i'm on my adventures i'm constantly switching back and forth from video to photo, i decided to include some of my photography in this video... did you like that addition or did you find it distracting? thx -andrew
Photos were nice addition :)
@@atte7346 I thought so too, thanks for your perspective Atte! Hope you have a good day!
A "slideshow" segment of photos is ok and obviously good video is great but when there is a still obstructing the middle of the screen that would be beautiful video on it's own...nah
A roadside park is how we found Agate Falls. Such a great discovery. Definitely going to hit this one next time I'm up.
The U.P. is pretty Squatchy... love it!!
So does 'Squatch. Told me so over a frosty beer and a pasty.
The canyons are great.
Definitely worth seeing if you’re in the area ! It has been called the Grand Canyon of Michigan.
Love the UP. I'm from MI also. 😊
That is the UP of Michigan. One can be at the most common and mundane place on earth, like the parking lot of a grocery store, and yet...You are less than 5 minutes away from one of the most magical places on earth.
You should have gone a little further. The best part is the beautiful half mile long gorge that runs below the falls!
photography addition was nice, you were born to do this lol keep at it
i'll try my best! hoping for 300 subs by 2025! haha but thanks for the feedback on the photo part
Very nice cinematography!!!
The UP is the best!!!!
Born down state , Lenawee county I took a trip to the Soo 8 yrs ago and worked my way back to the Cut River Bridge, west on US 2 from the straits. Spent an hour climbing down underneath the structure. It looked like that’s where you were in the opening of your video. Great scenery and quiet too. Thank You for posting things I’m no longer able to climb down to and see for myself
Some beautiful shots and footage but would be better with a selection of instrumental background
The music sucks.
Best cliff diving in the yoop up there in the summer
Congratulations on seeing some of Michigan's 300+ waterfalls. I'd like to see a lot more of them myself, but would rather spend time with my friends who mostly stay at their cabin when they have time off work.
And only one in the Lower Peninsula.
@@uprebel5150I know where there are 2 in lower michigan. I'll give you a hint on one of them. It's off us 37 in mesick mi.
Michigan looks like a cool place
Yeah, it gets a bad rep by some but I love it! Have you ever visited?
@@anhudy no but id love to
NO. Don’t. I am 6 months in, 50k spent just staying alive. There is nothing here. The UP as a community is dying. There are no jobs, no opprotunity, nothing. If you’re a boomer or independently wealthy, ok. Otherwise it’s awful and everyone up here is nasty because of the unrelenting financial oppression created purposely by the gov. In short, our owners don’t want us running around in the woods doing who knows what. They want us all pushed into the cities where they can control us all in one spot.
*I am a RN by trade. It’s that bad. A healthcare worker, a nurse can’t find work here.
Northern Michigan and upper peninsula is where the beauty of the state is. Don’t judge Michigan by it’s larger cities like Detroit.
@@michellel44 just got out of UP. It’s a depressing hell hole. All the residents are angry because they know they have no opprotunity and their communities are dying out. There’s nothing there but woods and mosquitos
We found this place from the West side on quads one year, our next road trip we planned to stop again and drove right past it, had to turn around. Showed pictures to a co-worker who grew up in the UP and he didn't even know of that area.
I fell in up to my neck, on a hot summer Saturday, years ago. I stepped into a hole in the rock river bed above the falls. I felt 100 eyes on me, as I fished myself out. :0
Very cool✌️
This attraction is no longer available as it's sold off by the DNR. It's been paved over and there's now a Lowes & Buffalo Wild Wings.
Pfft. Bull boogers!
was there last week...I call out your bs.

The music in this vid was so bad, I couldn't get to the end!!
Why play music next to a waterfall? No better music than that.
Doesn't hold a candle to Sturgeon River Falls, not even close!
I like bond falls. Perfect day hike.
The upper peninsula is beautiful but the people like you to spend your money and make you feel it's time for you to leave now and go. We came from the lower and lived there for 12 years never feeling accepted sadly.
