Hi, could you please analyze buakaw v masato 1 and 2? Ive always been interested in how masato was so dominated in the first yet managed to get the W in the more competitive 2nd. Either way, this is a great channel. New sub here and i love that you cover a lot of topics most channels dont, like the specifics of your training and strategies, fighter pay, muay v kickboxing details, etc, and all very clear and simple presentation. Really great stuff.
Yeah I got to meet him 7yrs ago and I gotta say he's a very humble soft spoken guy who would probably give you the shirt off his back, so yeah Buakaw is 1 of my favorite Thai fighters
I remember that my friend Giorgio (Petrosyan) said that Buakaw had much more power in his hands than in the kicks. I was there in Stockholm when they fought in may 2007. It was a draw
Hey Gabriel, excellent video again of also one of my favorites. I have another question. What is that song in the intro. I've heard it a lot of times and like it so I'd like to listen to the whole song. Thanks again !
HI GV. Yes, nobody knows it all... even your MT Gawd, Buakaw. And neither do you. Even in boxing, there are many forms of guard... but by Muay Thai... you do have a strong point on the criticism as they traditionally hold the hands up. Hands lower, however, is not the across-the-board error striking you believe. It's a mistake for those who are lax on the non-physical side... which is most in the kind of styles you adopt. Hands down is actually the better way... if one knows what one is doing... here with Buakaw... I agree he's lax... and too into his warmup demo. Really nice footage. CHEERS. 😉
@@GabrielVargaOfficial in two days! bro on 28!! In RWS organization. I Knowles buakaw in good Hands, good trainers could be the GOAT for that reason it is for me the best! You Know it!
Fantastic video and analysis Gabriel, thanks man 👏🙏 Yeah, Buakaw does trail his hands a lot, doesn’t he? 😳 I guess with kicks that fantastic he didn’t need to worry too much, hsha! 🤷♂️ Yeah, this is why I greatly prefer Muay Thai over every other discipline. Sorry, no offence to you or any other martial artists out there... ...Muay Thai is just this perfect blend of beauty and brutality...and the teeps? See? Wowww, he’s barely putting anything into that, but the technique and slight shift of body weight throught his hips and forward into the extension? 💪 Samart Payakaroon makes him look average though. Insane, but true. Next video? Hehe 🙏
HI Paul. Why all this condescending about no need to offend? Uncharacteristically phony for you! Muay Thai makes for a very strong martial art... particularly for the very strong...AGREED. Everyone else... lotta drawbacks, bro. Cheers & Take Care.
...oh, and thanks for the search effort too sir...I realise this wasn’t easy to find. 🙏 PS. Those accurate, fast, whipping, repeatable, balanced, effortless-looking roundhouses are because you REALLY learn to understand your hips in Thai boxing...it’s almost like the devastating Thai roundhouse needs to be renamed ‘fully-hipped roundhouse’ or something.🤷♂️ The power and poise you can produce in Muay Thai is unlike any other martial art I’ve tried...so I can only imagine how terrifying someone like Buakaw’s kicks were in his prime. 😎 Like 1 kick to thigh or liver unchecked? Ooof! Gsme over 😳😲
Hi Paul. All we've seen so far, Paul, is footage of you and some bro's running up & down some slopes... to the tune of a cute gal. I mean we're supposed to take your 'expert' commentary seriously... REALLY? Cheers.😄
@@stanclark3992 honestly? I’m trying very hard not to feed you Stan (like most sane people on this channel), however...this comment was so ridiculous, dumb, incorrect, disrespectful and laughable that I am compelled to reply (alas). 1. I’ve literally NEVER referred to myself as an ‘expert’. Wtf?! In fact, I’ve made it very clear several times that I’m somewhere in the intermediate range. Learning every day...especially here. 🙏 2. What I definitely AM however is pretty analytical...probably from many years of legal study (my background). So, I’ve watched vast amounts of stuff online over the years...as well as my numerous years of training various martial arts, and I’m usually very good at breaking stuff down...and seeing what gym members are doing right, and wrong...even when I perhaps cannot nail a technique perfectly myself. We always constantly try to help one another at my gym...because it’s very difficult to ‘see yourself’ whilst training. ✌️ 3. I don’t really use social media, or RUclips very much, and only uploaded a couple funny/shocking videos just to see how this all works, and if people would be interested. 4. Those ‘bros’ in the sprint burst vid are all martial artists of varying skill and experience...and they all fought in a ring in front of about 700 people recently...so they all have my respect. 🙏 5. That beautiful and talented young lady there (not just a ‘cute gal’ as u say) is current British Muay Thai champion and One Championship fighter Amber Kitchen...daughter of 14-time Muay Thai world champion Julie Kitchen (aka ‘The Queen of Muay Thai’) 💪👸🇹🇭 6. See if u can manage one day where you’re not being massively disrespectful and rude to everybody Stan. Very challenging task for you, but goid luck!👌
Buakaw is still one of my all time favourite fighters.
Do you have any Buakaw related video requests?
Excellent Gabriel. I agree with everyone else your videos are top notch.
Buakaw strength and conditioning video would be cool
