I love watching your trial stuff! Scotch tape can be a simple trick to temporarily fit the HJ better on the silver body. When I was trialing, I had to do it for a couple of HJs and it cleans off easily when you send them back. When the HJ isn't fully fitted, the sound won't be quite the same since the surface contact of the tubing isn't as close to exact. I have a silver Haynes HJ on my old student Gemeinhardt for a back-up flute and it's currently adjusted with duct tape. I need to add a metal fitting tape sometime. lol
Could be! Have you tried completely wooden flutes? I’d think if you were wanting to try it with period music, the quality would be different again if you didn’t use a metal body but definitely more authentic. What did you think of the dynamic flexibility with the wooden head joints?
I've actually never tried a gold flute/riser/or head joint. I like the classic p, enriched sound in the lower register. They all sound real good though. Thanks for the clean cut sound in this review by the way.
I think the last headjoint had the best and sweetest sound out of all them.
I just got a 9K headjoint for my silver flute. I love it! Really gave the sound I wanted. You really can hear the difference
Amazing! I'm so glad that you got the sound you wanted! That's great you didn't have to pay the extra $$$ for an entire gold flute...
I think I like the second one, P cut wit platinum silver alloy in the inner wall
I definitely preferred the last headjoint out of the selection.
I liked the 3rd head joint best. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching Rhonda!

Yep. I think these knock the wooden ones out of the park. They are all in another league and you make each of them sound so nice!
Glad you think so! I think the wood ones would be good for certain types of music (for instance, baroque music). What do you think?

Amazing video! You should do a review of the powell sonare 705 with the 9k auromite headjoint 😄
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll add that to my list to get to after my next queue of 3 :)
Loved this video! Thank you Gina!
Thank you for watching and ALL of your support, Natalie!
