I met Danny here in Austin when he was in town shooting Machete. My mom’s friend’s sister was his agent (at least at the time), and they invited him and his wife and kids to the restaurant we were at one afternoon, and he actually came. The thing I remember most: his smile, I don’t remember him ever not smiling the entire time there. He really has a new outlook at life, he’s so grateful and it shows. We ended up getting a picture with him and chatted for a little bit. Stand up guy to the fullest
There are numerous celebrities who have great redemption stories but Danny’s tops them all. He truly deserves an award for what he has achieved and his effort to help others recover and redeem themselves.
It definitely shows to people in prison and or people who have a tough life that it is possible to break the cycle and you can have a life after prison
I've been blessed to hear Danny speak at a few events. Danny is one of the funniest speakers I've ever heard. He tells his story with so much humor it's incredible. At the same time wild, and violently shocking. Of how it used to be. I'm glad to know the brother has done so good for him self.
😎😎😎🙏 Thank you Tell your story Danny In 1978 I was facing 20 years federal prison At the time I was tired of doing drugs being on the street In LA county jail To save me Everyday no timeI am 66 I'm still cleaning Thank you Jesus
Hes my #1 role model. A baddie with a hell of a spirit team and persistent! He integrated his shadow and has helped many people and animals alike. Heart of gold 💛
Danny is a beautiful soul and has pulled himself up and out of the negative experiences of his youth and became an exemplary man filled with honor and positive intent. Love the guy. He fills me with faith and inspiration. God bless him forever🙏
Thankfully He Saw The Light And Moved on From There ,,Tough He Had To Be Look His Past ,Now Look At All He's Done Since GOD GAVE HIM TRULY A SECOND CHANCE AND He Put His Words into Deeds A Man Who Truly Has A Heart He Just Needed God To Show Him The Way
This is Absolute BS that this Video does not have more views. His story needs to be heard. When they change their lives & really wanna help no one cares. The one's that don't care & ACT like they do for the courts or public get millions of views though. Frustrating AF! Thanks for the Documentary 👊🏽👍🏽💯
His story gets heard by the ones who need it the most. That's all that matters.. his story isn't for the ones who want to enjoy themselves with the suffering of others..but the ones who need to hear the message he has..and trust me,those people listen to this
You said you're his neighbor and friend well I don't see you responding okay so you could be just a hacker like Russia now get it right because I'll tell you what I know Benny mardones very well and he's from New York Syracuse f*** californiacation I got family in California
Make the area they grew up in to be magical, with pony rides & from a kid’s perspective. Reality is it must have been a real struggle getting older. Look forward to watching the whole documentary.

Danny is a local legend here in the San Fernando Valley we see him always around sometimes on his bike. His house is down a couple blocks from me.
There’s an old saying; “Sometimes you have to go through hell in order to get to heaven.”
Or the quote from Milton, paradise lost, which I learned from the film Se7en. “Long and hard is the way that out of hell leads up to light.”
Love this guy
