Can I just add thank you for adding “proper” captions for videos? Makes a huge difference for those of us who are hard of hearing and or have sensory processing disorders ❤
You're so welcome Sarah, so glad they're helpful for you! This year I've really made a point of adding my full voiceover script to the captions section of every new upload, so I'll be sure to continue ☺️👍 x
I've found your product suggestions to be incredibly helpful and accurate. I've tried watching other creator's channels but find nearly all of them spend more time rambling on and on about themselves and their channel and spend very little time informing viewers about the actual products. By only showing your hands and arms your videos are clearly focused on the products which is what we're all here for. I also appreciate how well you communicate the details. The lack of articulation out there by other creators shows how unprepared they are to speak about the products they're featuring. You've clearly used, researched and know your featured products and are prepared to discuss them in honest detail. A huge "THANK YOU" for the way create your videos as it has been most helpful.
Wow, thank you for this wonderful feedback Julia! I've found it difficult to be on the internet at times this year so a comment like this means more than I can say 🥹❤️ I'm so glad my style choice to put the focus on the products struck a chord with you! Really appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave such kind words x
You have no idea how much this means Michelle! I've turned to ASMR content a lot this year to help my mental health, so I'm so glad my videos can bring you a moment of calm too. Thank you 🥹❤️ x
Beautiful video Matilda! I could listen to you talk about cream blush all day so please keep them coming. I'm a cream blush newbie but have been inspired to try a couple since finding your channel. The Merit one in this video has certainly caught my eye! 😍
I’ve only recently discovered your videos, and I am hooked! Not only is your narration very calming, but you’ve inspired me-not to buy more makeup and skincare, but to look at my collection with a new appreciation, get creative with the cosmetics I already have, and be intentional when it is time to purchase new ones. Thank you for putting this soothing content out there!
I really wish Rare Beauty would introduce a mini set of 3 liquid blushes. I feel like I would never use up the full size and therefore am hesitant to commit to one colour.
All of these shades are such bright ingénue shades… like the main character of a Jane Austen novel! Definitely reminds me of Hannah Waddingham or Kiera Knightly
Loved this video. It was such a therapeutic video for me. I'm myself a blush fan... recently got my hands on rare beauty joy n I haven't put it down ever since. Loveeeee to watch urr videoossss... love everything about ur channel your content, your dedication, the information u give... you nail it every time matilda.... keep doing this please.. more power to u ♥️
I love the regular sunkissed bronzer blush! It looks so rosy on my skin tone - it doesn’t actually look like sunkissed blush on me so use it all year round. I need red on my skin tone to look like that. It’s crazy how different everything looks on different skin tones.
This video was super helpful. You always have great recommendations and describe each product thoroughly. I love Merit's Flush Balm in Fox. I alternate between that, Burt's Bees blush in Toasted Cinnamon, and Bare MInerals Gen Nude Blonzer in Kiss of Rose.
Thank you so much Elizabeth, really appreciate the lovely feedback! 🥰 Great to hear you're a fan of Fox as well, and I like the sound of the other shades you've been wearing x
I absolutely LOVE the merit flush balms! They're my favorite blushes ever! I actually picked them out because of your love for them. I have Beverly Hills and Fox, and both shades are my number one go-to's. Consider me happily influenced!
Just like you, my favourite blushes this summer are Merit Fox and Nudestix Sunkissed Cool. I use it like a blush/ bronzer because it’s exactly the color I turn if I get a bit of color during summer. I’m so pale I don’t tan and real “bronzers” look weird on me so happy I found it! Really enjoyed your video as always! ❤
I’m laying here in the northern hemisphere suffering from the flu in the heat. I so needed to see one of your relaxing videos with your soothing voice.
I'd love to one day! I have lots of other videos planned at the moment unfortunately, but I do have a verrrrry old orange eyeshadow video on my channel if that interests you in the meantime! 😄🍊 x
I am on a major reset with my skin, so I am taking a break from all skincare (except spf) and all makeup this month, but I when I'm ready again, I really really want to try that Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm! My favorite blush of all time is still Kjaer Weis in Above and Beyond, but definitely have my eyes on DM, Westman Atelier in Poppet, and maybe Merit in Stockholm...
All the best on your reset journey Raoul! Hopefully going right back to basics makes a big difference for your skin (but great to see SPF is still part of the routine!) ☺️☀️ x
I’ve been on a very low/basically no-buy the past couple years, but still keeping an eye out for products to try once my stash is really depleted- and you know what I’m having the hardest time finding? An even remotely close dupe for RMS Lip2Cheek Diabolique! So hard to find a good juicy cranberry/wine red that doesn’t lean too purple. Found one or two, like a shade from Rituel de Fille, but I’m allergic to the lavender in so many of their lip and cheek products. :( The quest for a juicy cream blush/lip in the perfect deep sheer cranberry continues ❤
Hi Matilda! One of my favorite liquid blush is the Becca Beach Tints however a few year ago they discontinued the item 😢 Do you know any dupes for this blush? Thank you so much I love your videos! ❤️
I purchased the Charlotte Tilbury Peach Pop and it changed my mind about peach blush on me. Love the formula and finish, not a huge fan of how the product is dispensed. I wear it topped with the Chanel les Beiges healthy glow sheet color stick in No. 20 which is a beautiful bronzer/blush color. Have you tried it?
So glad you're enjoying Peach Pop, Hannah! I find turning the tube 'on', giving it a gentle squeeze until you see the product start to come up through the sponge, then stopping the squeeze so it sinks back down a bit gives you a good amount ☺️👍 That blush stick No.20 is such a blast from the past, I looooved it back in the very early days of my channel! Still have it so thank you for reminding me to dig it out again x
You should try Ofélia a Vietnamese brand that have great liquid blush which could be the ultimate rare beauty dupe with such a cheap price. Anyway, love your videos. I've been watching since 2019
Clinique chubby stick in Amped up Apple is a great neutral, toasty peach, Ilia multi-stick in At Last is my perfect soft rose and I am also loving Lucky Chick multi stick in Lucky Days
I love when we love the same things! That Westman Atelier blush is amazing! I have a mini! I found myself loving the color of Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush in Croisette, but found that formula very patchy and asked @Kackie for recommendations and found my way to that Westman Atelier! You may also love the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Gel Blush in Berry, also rec by Kackie as a similar color! I also found myself purchasing Sunkissed Cool after finding that NO bronzer will ever satisfy me and leaning into that sun-blush glow! Love your videos!❤❤❤
Thank you Cara! 😄🍑 I count myself as a vampire too though haha, definitely very fair and cool-toned as well so don't be afraid of a little bit of *sheer* coral or orange! I find warmer blush shades often look better on me because they don't wash me out x
I’m looking forward to getting to play with summer makeup this year. We’re still in winter but that spring sun is starting to make an appearance. I’m already my summer UK colour. I’m looking forward to getting an actual tan this summer. 😁
👋🏼 Hi M! I simply must try Merit’s Fox 🦊 blush. It looks like the perfect year-round shade for me. I’m having good luck with stick blushers so thinking about trying the Danessa Myrick’s version as shown in this video for color that lasts. . 🥰 xoxo
I’ve finally placed an order for merit products over a friend of mine who lives in the UK and will send me the lot. I ordered the blush in fox, the bronzer and two lipsticks in l’avenue and aperitif so far.
@@matildaonvideo I love the Bright Pink for a nice flush and the Bright Coral for a more sunburnt look! Both of them are constantly on rotation for me!
Hi Matilda, just getting into wearing blush now that I start working soon! I'll be a corporate girly soon! Very excited. Could you do a work day makeup for us? Thanks!
Congratulations on this exciting new chapter Vasudha! 😄👏 I haven't been a corporate girly for a few years now, but I used to always wear a simplified version of my Everyday Makeup Bag videos - sticking to quick products (not a morning person!) and quite neutral colours. All the best for the new job! x
Gorgeous edit, as ever! When I saw that Formentera was back for the summer, I thought of you, haha. It's one I've been so sad I missed out on, so I might have to sweep it up! I've been wearing lots of Rituel de Fille's Inner Glow Creme Pigments and those guys stick around on cheeks (I don't love them so well for lips, but c'est la vie). x
@@matildaonvideo Oh sure! I decluttered a lot of my Rituel de Fille just because they were old old old, but I saved a couple (I follow the same vibe you do--if the performance hasn't changed, I don't get rid of it, ha). I'm a little bit in my pink era (hi, Barbie!), so I've been wearing touch of Rapture high on my cheeks. Delirium is my other favorite right now to create a sunburn-y look when it's really sheered out. Also: I can't recommend the Color Nectar Pigment Balms enough. I have them in every color (except the yellow!) and can't pick a favorite, but I've hit pan on Bee Sting (soft pink) and I frequently carry Bloodflower (blood red) and Glasswing (blackberry stain--it makes me feel like a princess that got lost in a forest and had to eat blackberries and they stained her lips). The last two I wear a lot during the cooler months! They are quite balmy and may not be everyone's cuppa, but I think they're so stunning! I love that Rituel de Fille's colors are juuuuust a little off-kilter, never quite what you expect.
My summer go-to blushes are the Nudestix Sunkissed, Sunset Strip, & the FEEV Hyperfit Color Serum in Meaning Out. Have you tried Sunkissed Pink? I'm still on the hunt for my perfect pink Nudestix blush. Finally dipped my toes into the brand this year thanks to your recommendation 💛
Ooh I'll definitely look into that FEEV formula, thank you for the suggestion! 👏 Sunkissed Pink is in my testing pile but I haven't swatched it just yet.. Might have to put together another Barbie pink reel on my Instagram soon! x
Yes! I probably preferred the texture before they were reformulated / the shade range changed and my beloved Very Popular was discontinued, but one of the new colours made it into my 2022 Favourites video last year ☺️👍 x
I love cream blush but I find the rare one is patchy and ends up removing what’s underneath! Does anyone know how to fix this as the one I have is shade Bliss and is a beautiful colour???? I love your videos so much!! Could you do another video on Asian Beauty if you have any new finds???
Thank you! Oh no, how have you been applying it so far? I always like gently patting / tapping cream and liquid blushes on with my fingers, I find there's less movement in that technique than with a brush or sponge. Let me know if that helps! Definitely planning another K-Beauty video in the next few months 😄👍 x
@@ZZ-nt8bh You're so welcome! I always like to think of patting/tapping blush in, rather than rubbing it in. That way you're just adding a light layer on top instead of really mixing it in which might disrupt makeup underneath. I use my middle and ring fingers and pat lightly but quickly to spread the product around. Let me know how you go! ☺ x
I love the westman blush sample I have and the elf and rare beauty blush as well. I was off put the matte blush from Charlotte tilbury because of the price and my experience with the regular one that was pilling and patching on my skin, your review might put it on my list of things to try!
Oh no, which CT blush caused issues for you? I was just wearing the Pillow Talk shade of this Matte Blush Wand on the weekend and got compliments on it 😍 x
Excellent overview, Matilda! I made the to switch to cream blush when I stopped in at Knockout Beauty, an independent beauty boutique opened by Cayli Cavaco Reck, the daughter of legendary VOGUE stylist, Paul Cavaco. She tried a cream blush on me and I’ve been a convert ever since! It looks fresher and more like real skin, IMO. Im really curious about the new Nudestix Matte Glow Core sticks. The shades are beautiful!
Thank you for the tip Val, I'm planning a trip to LA and have added the Knockout Beauty store there to my list! Perfect description of the effect of cream blush too 👏 x
This is a bit older, video wise. But I love blush. I know people have a lot more than me but I have about 4 - 5 Mac blush, 2 Charlotte Tilbury, 2 Clinique, 2 Elizabeth Arden, 4 bronzers from 4 different brands. I have more than 1 person needs 😊😊😊😊
I'm surprised you don't mention Saie's Dew Blush, which is a very lightweight medium-lasting formula that I love a lot, it's served me well this summer. I've heard it described as a less saturation version of Rare Beauty's liquid blush
Yes, I have a couple of those! This wasn't an exhaustive list, don't worry 😄 Just the shades and textures that stood out to me most this season! I'll have to pop Saie back in my makeup bag again soon, thank you for reminding me x
I'm very lucky to be sent press products by brands sometimes as most of my audience is based in the US, but I've also had friends mail my orders to me or bring products back in their suitcase, or I've used forwarding services in the past ✈️📦 x
Popping back with some exciting shipping updates for you this morning! MERIT just announced that they'll start shipping to Australia from September 18 🇦🇺💙 and Jones Road expanded their shipping across Europe yesterday, so I hope they'll keep adding new destinations! x
Oh I meant to include this detail, thank you for reminding me! It's quite a strong citrus scent but a little bit earthy too (I can see rosemary, ginger, geranium and grapefruit oils listed in the formula) 💚 x
The brand very kindly sent me some products to try (most of my audience is in the US, Canada and UK where they ship), but Jones Road is online at Liberty London so hopefully they might be allowed to ship the brand here? 🤞 Worth a try! x
My favorite subject of makeup blush 🥰😇💖✨ Also the Eras Tour in Seattle was fantastic! So glad international dates were announced! Hope you will be able to make a show :)
So happy you got to go, which night were you at / what were your surprise songs? 🤩 The Australian ticket war was next level (apparently 4 million people tried for tickets for just 5 shows!) but I got very lucky getting through! Can't wait for February x
I mention in the video that I'm not a powder blush person unfortunately! 😭 All of the blushes I wear regularly are creams or liquids, and the only powder blush I've bought in years is the Gucci shade Rosy Beige! I might try to film a reel for Instagram with it soon. A couple of formulas in this video are cream-to-powders though! x

Um excuse me?! You make the best videos. Cold in Australia though
Thank you so much Becka! Definitely living vicariously through my northern hemisphere viewers for this video 😄☀️ x
@@matildaonvideo It’s lovely but PRICEY! Have a wonderful time!
How did you get Jones Road in Australia? - Or Merit for that matter??
I'm very lucky to be sent press products by brands sometimes as most of my audience is based in the US, but I've also had friends mail my orders to me or bring products back in their suitcase, or I've used forwarding services in the past ✈️📦 x
Popping back with some exciting shipping updates for you this morning! MERIT just announced that they'll start shipping to Australia from September 18 🇦🇺💙 and Jones Road expanded their shipping across Europe yesterday, so I hope they'll keep adding new destinations! x
@@matildaonvideo oh that's exciting!! Thanks for the news!
What does the Jones road balm smell like? Thanks. ☺️
Oh I meant to include this detail, thank you for reminding me! It's quite a strong citrus scent but a little bit earthy too (I can see rosemary, ginger, geranium and grapefruit oils listed in the formula) 💚 x
@@matildaonvideothanks. 😊
Love this. Just discovered orange red lipstick so switched blush to Nars Torrid. Check it out.
1 Nars one as well. Well and truly enough blushes for one person, u can't take it with u when u died. 😊😊😊😊
How do you get the Jones road in Australia
@@matildaonvideoOMG SO EXCITED FOR YOUUUU!
@@matildaonvideoI went in July on the 23rd and got Message In A Bottle and Tied Together With A Smile! So the full 10 Eras Of Music Experience!!!!!
💙💙💙
Thank you for watching Aaron! ☺️ x
Merit Fox❤
Love it! 😍 x
Powder blush recos next plsssss
I mention in the video that I'm not a powder blush person unfortunately! 😭 All of the blushes I wear regularly are creams or liquids, and the only powder blush I've bought in years is the Gucci shade Rosy Beige! I might try to film a reel for Instagram with it soon. A couple of formulas in this video are cream-to-powders though! x
They have K Mart in Australia? Interesting
Yes! We have Kmart in Australia but it's different to the American store. We also have Target but it's different too ☺️👍 x
Great video 6:49
Thank you Kirsty! 😄 x
I forgot 2 Bobbi Brown blushes as well
