now THAT was a perspective altering tutorial for fusion motion graphics! god damn! i was getting the impression fusion wasnt as powerful as it actually is from other tutorials and you just blew that suspicion out the water!
@@allestoll397 This one should work on resolve 16. Are you on mac? There is a download issue i am looking at.. The file does not download with the correct file extention. If you go to my website, and fill out the contact form. Let me know which one you are trying to download and I can send you the .setting file...Not sure that will fix it, but it did work for someone else that was having the same issue.

@@WilliamJusticeMedia so for some reason the file path mentioned in the instructions doesn't seem to exist for me. I did find a macros folder and put the txt file there, but no luck getting it to show up after the restart. I also don't seem to be able to drag it in to fusion. Any ideas?
@@bendesignsmedia Are you on mac? Try renaming the .txt file to .setting... it should have just .setting on the end. then restart resolve. Not sure why dragging it in would not work. Hopefully renaming it gets it working.

So I took an existing Macro I had and copied it, then opened it and the shapeshifter in text edit and copied all the text from the shapeshifter into the other Macro, deleting all its original text. Now I can drag that one in to resolve! YAY! But I still can't get it to show up when searching, but my other Macros do not show up either, so something is broken there, but at least I can use it now. Thanks!

Super cool stuff. I love that you put it all in a macro to not have to animate simultaneously through several nodes. So much more convenient. There's one little, but very neat thing that isn't mentioned in the video. It is also possible to use the shapeshifter output as a mask for a new media_in node. So you could for example do all kinds of crazy transitions. Like starting with small shapes swirling around and growing until the whole screen is solidly covered, completing the transition. A creative mind could probably come up with a lot of interesting ideas. 😎😉
Yeah.. that's a great thought. i had a part in this video about using the shape shifter as a mask like that, but the video was getting a bit long so I took it out. It might be worth revisiting the macro with some other uses such as transitions! Thanks for watching..
