- I show you how to install a Go Power 1,000watt pure sine wave power inverter in our 2019 Grand Design Imagine XLT 21BHE. I walk through routing of positive and negative wires as well as securing a ground wire. I also install a Go Power Remote on/off switch for concealed use of the inverter along with our Starlink RV satellite internet. It is VERY important to purchase a "PURE SINE WAVE Power Inverter" and not "Stepped Power Inverters" because the stepped power inverter may ruin your electronics.

Nicely done, Jacob. Your detailed verbal explanations and videography made your process easier to follow than videos from other content providers on the same topic.
@raoulroberts, thank you for the kind comment, I'm glad my video helped you out!
I love all the brand new shiny tools
@jerrygundrum1, I wish my wife felt the same way. Lol
What I meant was they don't get used much
Excellent video man! I am preparing to install an inverter in my forward storage boxes and this helped big time. Thanks!!
@jasonwilliams1708, thank you! I would recommend going larger than 1,000watt and make sure to get the remote on/off switch.
You have a fuse at your inverter. This is wrong. It's hold be at battery location. If the positive wire from battery shorts out between battery & your fuse then nothing prevents massive current flow & potential fire.
@rickbraden4272, thank you for bringing this up you make a great point. When I installed this I didn't have a spot to mount the fuse close enough to the batteries and be protected. Now that I have upgraded to a tongue box for battery storage I should have enough room to move it closer. Great point!
good job sir . but how you charge the battery in this case . is it from rv converter ???
@wellyzz4963, I have an 800 watt BougeRV solar system installed on our camper. It keeps the batteries powered up during the daytime allowing us to use the inverter all day and night. You can charge by shore power or generator power using the converter but there's no point in using the inverter when that's happening cause your outlets will be live in the camper. Here's my solar install video.

Do you have the inverter connected to the whole rv or just the starlink and extension cord?
It's acting totally separate from the existing RV electrical. The only active plugs when using the inverter are the two on it powering the Starlink and the surge protector / power strip extension cord.
Just wondering how many amps does ur star link pull?
@chuckcoughlin3112, when booting and running it draws roughly 45-75 watts of power and 2 amps at that voltage. If the snowmelt feature is on and actively heating I think it will draw closer to 100watts of power and roughly 3-4amps.
